August 10th 2023 – Unfailing Assurance of God’s Love

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

Let us bask in the unfailing assurance of God’s boundless love that transcends time, space, and all the challenges we face in this world. In a world that is ever-changing and often tumultuous, we find solace and strength in the steadfastness of God’s love for us.

The assurance of God’s love is not merely a concept, but a reality that permeates every fiber of our being. It is a love that surpasses all understanding, a love that has been demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. As we gaze upon the wounds of our Savior, we are reminded of the immeasurable depth of God’s love for us.

No matter what we have done or how far we may have strayed, God’s love remains constant and unchanging. His love is not based on our performance or our merits, but on His perfect nature. It is a love that is unconditional, forgiving, and overflowing with grace. It is a love that pursues us relentlessly, even in our darkest moments.

This assurance of God’s love offers comfort, healing, and hope. It assures us that we are never alone, for God is with us every step of our journey. It assures us that we are deeply known and intimately loved by the Creator of the universe. It assures us that we have a secure and eternal home in His loving embrace.

Let us hold fast to this assurance of God’s love, for it is the foundation of our faith. It empowers us to face the storms of life with confidence, knowing that we are held by the One who loves us beyond measure. It frees us from the chains of guilt and shame, reminding us that we are forgiven and redeemed. It transforms our hearts, enabling us to love others as God loves us.

Today, let us take a moment to reflect on the assurance of God’s love. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow His love to wash over you. Feel His presence surrounding you, enveloping you in His tender care. Know that His love is unshakeable, unbreakable, and unending. Rest in the assurance that nothing can separate us from His love.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance of Your love. Help us to fully comprehend the depth and breadth of Your love for us. May Your love fill our hearts, transforming us from the inside out. Give us the courage to embrace Your love and share it with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

December 18th 2019 – Let There Be Light

“For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6)

In the beginning God spoke into the darkness and created the light. This light was the beginning of a new world. Like our world, we all begin in darkness because of our sinful nature. As the holidays are approaching we need to remember to have an attitude greatfulness and thanksgiving and truly be excited because the Light of God himself has come into our darkness. Two thousand years ago in a stable in Bethlehem, Jesus Christ came in the form of man. He, who had created light in the beginning of time, was now on our earth as a light to men.

What great news! The Lord of all creation has come to bring light and life to men. As we give our lives to Jesus, He speaks into our lives and light bursts forth in brilliant beams. This light transforms us from the inside and we are made new. As you celebrate with family and friends this upcoming season, look at all the lights around you and remember ‘The Light’ of the world. As you do that, remember that He has come to make us lights to this world as well. What an honor, to be given the Light of God to share with others who are in darkness. Surely, this is what the holiday season is all about.

“Shine as bright lights that illuminate the darkness.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the light given to men through Your Son, Jesus. Father, forgive me of my sins and fill me with Your light so that I may share You with this dark world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Living in the dark? Looking for meaning and direction? I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. He loves us and wants to help us. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior please click here 4 Simple Steps to Jesus.

April 18th 2018 – I Knit You Together

Scripture Reference:

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13-14)

Reflection:

When I read this verse, I picture a cozy living room, softly lit by warm lights. Imagine a grandmother sitting in a comfy chair, knitting a colorful sweater for her grandchild. You can see the joy on her face as she focuses on each stitch, pouring her love into this creation.

She envisions how beautiful the sweater will be and the happiness it will bring her grandchild. With each “knit one, purl two,” she crafts something unique, not just a piece of clothing, but a symbol of her affection. This isn’t just a task for her; it’s a labor of love that fills her heart with joy.

Now, let’s pause and think about how God knit you together in your mother’s womb. This imagery speaks volumes about His tender care and creativity. He could have created us in an instant, but instead, He chose a more intimate approach, thoughtfully crafting us one detail at a time. Each part of who you are was designed with purpose and love.

Your existence isn’t just a random occurrence; it’s the beautiful result of a Father who planned your life with intention long before you were born. You are a masterpiece, and your life brings immense joy to God’s heart.

“In each delicate stitch of my being, God wove love and purpose, crafting me as a masterpiece of His creation.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with such care. I recognize that every part of me was designed by You, stitch by stitch, with love that breathed life into me. I was made in love and for love. Help me to reflect that love back to You and to others. Thank You for being such an incredible Father. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
