Scripture Reference:
“Now God worked unusual miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were taken from his body to the sick, and diseases left them, and evil spirits went out of them.” (Acts 19:11-12)
Reflection:
This verse reminds us that it’s God, not Paul, who performs miracles. While some have misused this scripture to profit from selling items like prayer cloths, the true power lies not in the objects or the person but in God Himself. These items were simply tools God used to heal. Our goal should be to become instruments of His love and healing.
The Bible is filled with divine encounters. Jesus, our Savior who conquered death, offers us eternal life. This passage isn’t a blueprint for ministry but highlights that God can work in unexpected ways to draw us closer to Him. Just as God used Paul to heal individuals back then, He continues to work through people today. However, not everyone Paul encountered was healed, and even he faced unanswered prayers. Remember, when Paul asked God to heal him, God responded differently:
“Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)
Sometimes God’s answer isn’t healing but the grace to endure our circumstances. When healing occurs, we give Him glory; when it doesn’t, we grow stronger in our faith.
“In the moments when healing feels distant, may we find strength in His grace and the assurance that God is always working for our good.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unwavering love and support in my life. I am grateful for the strength You provide during difficult times and for the grace that sustains me when I feel weak. Help me to keep my focus on You and to trust in Your perfect plan, even when healing seems out of reach.
May I be an instrument of Your love and healing to those around me, sharing hope and encouragement in their struggles. Teach me to embrace my challenges as opportunities to grow closer to You and to lean on Your understanding.
Remind me that Your ways are higher than my ways and that Your timing is perfect. I pray for those who are hurting, that they may feel Your presence and experience Your healing touch. Thank You for the promise that You are always with us. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
