June 14th 2026 – Misguided Priorities

Scripture Reference:

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows” (Galatians 6:7)

The Story:

Once, there was a man who achieved remarkable success in his career. He dedicated countless hours to his job, often traveling far and wide, earning accolades and generous rewards from his employer. Encouraged by his peers, he began to manipulate his sales figures to meet quotas and impress his superiors. This deceitful practice turned him into the company’s shining star.

As he basked in the glow of his professional accomplishments, he neglected his family, justifying his absence by claiming he was working hard to provide them with the finest things in life. Yet, in his relentless pursuit of success, he lost sight of what truly mattered. His children grew distant, and his marriage crumbled, leading to a painful divorce. Eventually, his dishonesty was uncovered, resulting in his dismissal from the company he had worked so hard for. In the end, his dreams of prestige faded, and he found himself alone, with a fractured family and a tarnished reputation.

Reflection:

This modern parable serves as a sobering reminder of the truth found in Galatians 6:7: “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”

The man in our story pursued success with misguided priorities, believing that material wealth could replace meaningful relationships. In the end, he discovered that the things of this world are fleeting, and true fulfillment comes from love, family, and integrity.

Application:

As we navigate our daily lives, let us reflect on our priorities. Are we investing our time in what truly matters? Are we fostering relationships with our loved ones, or are we allowing the pursuit of success to drive us away from them?

Take a moment today to evaluate your own life. Are there areas where you need to realign your priorities? Commit to nurturing your relationships, being honest in your endeavors, and seeking God’s guidance in your choices.

“True success is not found in accolades or possessions, but in the relationships we nurture and the integrity we uphold.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance in our lives. Help us to recognize the true essence of success—not in worldly achievements, but in the love and connections we cultivate with our family and friends. Remind us of the importance of honesty and integrity in all our endeavors.

As we navigate the demands of work and life, grant us the wisdom to prioritize what truly matters. May we always strive to find balance, ensuring that our ambitions do not overshadow our relationships. Teach us to be present for our loved ones, to listen with compassion, and to offer support in their times of need.

Help us to sow seeds of kindness, patience, and understanding, knowing that they will yield a harvest of joy and fulfillment. Lord, may our lives reflect Your love and grace, guiding us to be a light in our families and communities.

Thank You for Your endless love and forgiveness. We trust in Your plan for our lives and seek to align our hearts with Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

February 15th 2026 – The Life and Teachings of Jesus

Scripture Reference:

“Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: ‘I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.’” (Matthew 13:34-35)

Reflection:

The life and teachings of Jesus are a profound source of wisdom and guidance for believers. Through His parables and miracles, He revealed deep spiritual truths in relatable ways, inviting us to explore the nature of God and our relationship with Him.

Lessons from the Parables:

  1. The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37): This parable teaches us about compassion and love for our neighbors, transcending societal boundaries. It challenges us to act with kindness regardless of prejudice or expectation.
  2. The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32): Here, we see the boundless grace of the Father, illustrating God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. It reminds us that no matter how far we stray, we can always return home.
  3. The Lost Sheep (Matthew 18:12-14): This story emphasizes God’s care for each individual. Just as a shepherd seeks one lost sheep, God actively pursues us, demonstrating that everyone is valued and cherished.

Lessons from the Miracles:

  1. Feeding the 5000 (John 6:1-14): This miracle shows Jesus’ ability to provide abundantly. It encourages us to trust in His provision, even when circumstances seem impossible.
  2. Healing the Blind Man (John 9:1-12): Through this miracle, Jesus opens not only the man’s physical eyes but also his spiritual eyes. It illustrates how faith can bring enlightenment and transformation.
  3. Raising Lazarus (John 11:1-44): This miracle reveals Jesus’ power over death, reminding us of the hope we have in Him. It reassures us that through Christ, there is always the possibility of new life and restoration.

Application:
As we reflect on the teachings of Jesus, let us ask ourselves how we can embody these lessons in our daily lives. Are we showing compassion like the Good Samaritan? Do we embrace forgiveness as the Prodigal Son’s father did? Are we trusting in God’s provision in challenging times?

“Embrace the teachings of Jesus not just as stories, but as invitations to live out compassion, forgiveness, and hope, transforming our hearts and the world around us.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, and for the lessons He taught through His parables and miracles. Help us embody the compassion of the Good Samaritan, reaching out to those in need with love and kindness.

Teach us to forgive as the father did in the Prodigal Son, letting go of grudges and celebrating reconciliation. Remind us of our worth as Your cherished children, and help us to trust in Your provision, knowing You meet our needs.

Open our eyes to see the world through Your perspective, and empower us to share the hope and renewal found in Christ. May our lives reflect His teachings, and may we be agents of Your love and grace in all we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

January 21st 2026 – The Chessboard of Faith: Strategizing Life with Christ

Scripture Reference:

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” (Psalm 37:23-24)

Reflection:

Life often resembles a game of chess, where each move we make can lead to victory or defeat. Just as in chess, we face challenges that require strategy, patience, and foresight. Every piece on the chessboard has its unique role, much like each of us in the grand design of God’s creation.

In today’s world, filled with uncertainty and rapid changes, it’s crucial to remain grounded in our faith. Every decision we face, whether at work, in relationships, or within our communities, can feel like a complex chess move. The key is to seek wisdom and guidance from God, allowing His teachings to inform our strategies.

When we encounter obstacles or setbacks, we should remember that even the best chess players lose games. It’s not about every move being perfect but about learning, adapting, and growing from our experiences. God is our ultimate coach, guiding us through the trials and triumphs of life.

Let us remember that though life may feel like a game of strategy, with every challenge, we are invited to deepen our relationship with God and trust in His perfect plan for us.

“Just as every chess piece has a purpose, so too does every moment in our lives. Trust in God’s guidance to navigate the game, and remember that even in our stumbles, He is there to uphold us.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, As we navigate the chessboard of life, grant us the wisdom to make sound decisions and the courage to face challenges head-on. Help us to remember that each move is an opportunity for growth and learning. Strengthen our faith so that we may trust in Your plan, even when the path seems unclear.

Lord, remind us that just as in chess, we must think several moves ahead. Help us to be strategic in our relationships, our work, and our service to others. May we approach each day with the intention to glorify You in all we do.

As we face the uncertainties of our times, we lean on Your promises for guidance and comfort. May our actions reflect Your love and grace, inspiring others to seek You in their own lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Accept Jesus as Your Savior: The Ultimate Move!

In the intricate game of life, every move counts. Just as a chess player strategizes each piece’s position, we must consider the most significant decision of all: accepting Jesus as our Savior.

When we choose to follow Christ, we are not just making a single move; we are embarking on a transformative journey that shapes our entire lives. With Jesus as our guide, we can navigate the challenges ahead, drawing strength and wisdom from His teachings.

July 13th 2025 – When One Door Closes, Another Door Opens

“The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open.” (Isaiah 22:22)

In our journey of faith, we find solace in knowing that our Lord Jesus is the one who opens and closes doors in our lives. This truth brings immense comfort, especially in moments of uncertainty. There are times when I approach prayer, feeling lost and unsure of the decisions ahead. In those moments, I offer this heartfelt prayer:

“Heavenly Father, You have promised to open doors for me and close those that are not meant for me. I stand before You with this decision, uncertain of the path to take. I trust in Your divine wisdom, believing that You will open this door if it aligns with Your will, and close it if it does not. I thank You for Your guidance in Jesus’ name.”

Through prayers like this, we surrender our will to God, acknowledging that His plans for us are always for our good. Acceptance of His will can be challenging, especially when it diverges from our own desires. While we may yearn for what we have just prayed for, God, in His infinite wisdom, sees the bigger picture and knows what will truly be a blessing for us. If only we could glimpse the future through His eyes, we would wholeheartedly seek His will.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.” This assurance that God is guiding our steps fills me with confidence. I desire for Him to have all of me, trusting Him completely as the Lord and King of my life. Embrace His care today, and witness how beautifully your steps align with His perfect will.

“In the tapestry of life, every closed door is a gentle reminder that a new path awaits, guided by the hand of divine wisdom.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I am grateful that my steps are orchestrated by You. Thank You for the good doors You open and the ones You close for my benefit. I trust You deeply and appreciate all that You do in my life. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

March 14th 2025 – Wake up Call from God

“Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” (Psalm 119:67)

Sometimes, life throws challenges our way to grab our attention. When we stray from the right path, it’s as if God gently nudges us back, hoping we’ll reconsider our choices.

Take Jonah, for example. He was chosen to deliver a message to the Ninevites but instead chose to run in the opposite direction. In his disobedience, God didn’t abandon him; rather, He pursued Jonah because of His love. Just like that, God often reminds us that we can’t stray too far without Him noticing. He can guide us back to where we need to be.

As the psalmist reflects, “Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” Sometimes, it takes a difficult moment for us to realize what truly matters.

Have you ever had a wake-up call? Maybe you weren’t feeling well and finally decided to see a doctor. When the test results come back with concerning news, it can feel like your world is turned upside down. In that moment, you might promise to change, be more devoted, and appreciate life more. But once the storm passes and you hear that everything is okay, it’s easy to slip back into old routines. What happened to those promises?

If you’ve experienced that wake-up call, here’s some advice: Stay awake!

Life might not make sense right now, but trust that it will eventually. Remember, the Devil can’t touch a believer without God’s permission. God remains in control of every situation we face.

“God is in control of all circumstances that surround the life of the believer.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You have my attention! I ask for Your forgiveness for times I’ve done things my way and drifted from Your path. I commit to seeking You earnestly and listening to Your guidance. Your Word brings life, and I want to fill my heart with it. Thank You for being my constant support and for all You’ve done for me. You are so good, and I am truly grateful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
