October 28th 2026 – Get Back Up and Come Back to Jesus

Scripture Reference:

“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” (Proverbs 24:16)

Reflection:

“There’s an old saying: When you fall off a horse, you get back on.” But when we stumble in our walk with Jesus, getting back up can feel harder. Shame may tell us to hide. Regret may whisper that we’ve gone too far.

But Jesus doesn’t turn away when we come back to Him. We can bring Him the truth about where we’ve fallen—our choices, our distance, our sin—and ask Him to forgive us and take it from us. His mercy is not a reward for getting everything right; it’s a gift that meets us when we need Him most.

So take the next step toward Jesus. Tell Him what’s on your heart. Ask Him to help you rise, leave the old path behind, and walk with Him again. You don’t have to stay down.

“When we stumble in our walk with Jesus, We don’t have to stay down—His mercy gives us the courage to rise and come back to Him.”

Prayer:

Jesus, I come to You just as I am, with an honest heart. I’m sorry for the ways I’ve fallen, drifted away, or chosen what I knew was wrong. Please forgive me and remove my sin. Help me release the shame and regret that keep me hiding from You, and remind me that Your mercy is greater than my failures.

Give me strength to turn away from what pulls me from You and wisdom to make choices that honor You. When I feel weak or tempted to give up, help me take the next step toward You. Please guide me back into Your presence, renew my heart, and teach me to walk with You day by day. Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and welcoming me when I return. In Your precious name, Amen.

October 26th 2026 – Unstoppable Joy

Scripture Reference:

“Do not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like other peoples, for you have played the harlot against your God. You have made love for hire on every threshing floor.” (Hosea 9:1)

Reflection:

Joy is something we all long for, yet so many people spend their lives searching for it without ever finding something that lasts. We look for joy in relationships, careers, accomplishments, entertainment, and possessions. Some turn to alcohol or drugs, hoping to escape their pain or feel happy for a little while. These things may offer temporary pleasure, but they cannot give us the deep, lasting joy our hearts need.

In Hosea’s time, God told Israel not to rejoice. This was not because God was cruel or wanted to keep His people from happiness. Israel had turned away from Him and broken their relationship with the One who was their source of life and joy. They were looking for fulfillment elsewhere, while ignoring the God who had loved and cared for them.

That same search continues today. We can fill our schedules, chase success, and surround ourselves with things we enjoy, yet still feel empty inside. Good experiences can bring happiness, but circumstances change. A lasting joy needs a deeper foundation—one that does not disappear when life becomes difficult.

Jesus offers us that foundation. He said:

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:10–11)

Jesus does not promise a life without hardship. He invites us into a relationship with Him—a relationship where we can know His love, trust His promises, and find joy that reaches beyond our circumstances. As we pray, read God’s Word, and follow Jesus in serving others, our faith grows and our hearts are strengthened. We begin to see that joy is not only found in what we receive, but also in loving others and walking in obedience to God.

When we see someone encouraged or blessed through an act of kindness, we can share in that joy. When we remember God’s promises, we find hope in seasons that feel uncertain. And when we draw close to Jesus, we discover a joy that is not dependent on everything going our way.

If you feel that joy is missing from your life, turn toward the One who promises that your joy can be full. Seek Jesus, remain in His love, and let Him lead you into a life shaped by hope, purpose, and lasting joy.

“Complete, unstoppable joy is found in an active relationship with Jesus.“

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting me into a relationship with You through Jesus. Thank You for the promises in Your Word and for the lasting joy You offer. Help me remember Your truth when I feel discouraged, lonely, or empty. When I am tempted to look for fulfillment in things that cannot satisfy, draw my heart back to You. Give me wisdom to follow Your guidance, courage to obey You, and strength to love and serve others with a willing heart. Help me notice the ways You are at work in my life and to trust You through every season. Teach me to remain close to Jesus and to find hope, purpose, and deep joy in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 25th 2026 – The Door Is Still Open

Scripture Reference:

“I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.” (Romans 11:25)

Reflection:

In Genesis, God told Noah to build an ark before the flood came. Noah obeyed while the world around him carried on as usual. Imagine the years of work, the questions, and the ridicule he may have faced. The ark stood as a warning—but also as a place of safety. When the flood came, the time to enter had passed.

Jesus later spoke of Noah’s generation as a warning to people who live distracted and unprepared. The point is not to panic or try to predict the end. It is to recognize that our choices matter, life is uncertain, and we should not treat God’s invitation as something we can safely postpone.

The words from Romans 11:25, “the full number of Gentiles” remind us that God’s plan is unfolding, even when we cannot see its timing or understand every detail. The Bible does not tell us to calculate a deadline. It calls us to respond to God with humility and faith, and not to assume we will always have another opportunity

Don’t keep putting off the most important decision of your life. God is calling you to turn to Him today—not because He wants to frighten you, but because He loves you and wants you to receive the life only He can give.

“Do not wait for a crisis to make you seek God. Do not let shame convince you that you are beyond His mercy. Do not assume that tomorrow is promised.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your patience, love, and mercy. Thank You for sending Jesus to bring forgiveness and new life. I confess that I have sometimes ignored Your voice or assumed I could respond another day. Please forgive me and draw me close to You.

Help me trust Jesus and follow Him with my whole life. Give me a heart that is ready, humble, and faithful—not driven by fear, but grounded in Your love. Strengthen me to serve others, encourage those who are struggling, and share the hope of the gospel with gentleness and courage. Thank You for Your church and for the people who help me grow in faith. Keep my eyes fixed on You, and teach me to use each day well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 24th 2026 – The Promise of Christ’s Return

Scripture Reference:

“In my Father’s house are many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me.” (John 14:2-3)

Reflection:

Life can feel like a constant stream of alerts, uncertainty, and change. In the middle of it all, Jesus’ promise offers something steady: we are not forgotten, and we are not walking toward an unknown future alone. He is preparing a place for us, and He will come again.

That hope isn’t an excuse to withdraw from the world or spend our days trying to predict when He’ll return. It invites us to live faithfully right here and now—with patience, compassion, and courage. We can bring hope into our homes, workplaces, and communities through small acts of kindness, honest words, and care for people who feel overlooked.

Take a quiet moment today. Let Jesus’ promise settle your heart. Where could you offer someone encouragement or kindness this week? Until He comes, may your life reflect the hope you have in Him.

“Because Christ is preparing a place for me, I can face today with hope, love others with purpose, and trust Him with tomorrow.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise that You are preparing a place for me and that one day I will be with You. When the world feels uncertain or overwhelming, quiet my fears and remind me that Your love is constant. Help me trust You with what I cannot control and find peace in Your presence today.

Teach me to live with hope—not by waiting passively, but by serving others with compassion, patience, and courage. Show me who needs encouragement, and give me the words and actions to bring comfort and kindness. Help me be faithful in the small moments, reflect Your light in my community, and forgive as You have forgiven me.

Keep my heart focused on You as I face each new day. Strengthen my faith, guide my choices, and help me share the hope of Your return with grace. Until the day You come again, may my life honor You and remind others that they are not alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 17th 2026 – I Love Jesus!

Scripture Reference:

“We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

Reflection:

The love of Jesus is the sure foundation of the Christian life. Before we knew Him, before we could offer Him anything, He loved us. In His mercy, He came to seek and save the lost. On the cross, He bore our sins; through His resurrection, He opened the way to new life. His love is not earned by our goodness or withdrawn when we stumble. It calls us to repentance, offers forgiveness, and invites us to walk with Him in faith.

To say, “I love Jesus,” is more than to speak words of devotion. It is to trust Him as Lord and Savior, to receive His teaching, and to follow His example. Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). We show our love by seeking God in prayer, reading His Word, worshiping with His people, and serving our neighbors with patience and compassion.

Yet following Christ does not mean we will never struggle. There may be days when our faith feels weak, when we are burdened by worry, or when we fail to love as we should. In those moments, we can return to Jesus with honest hearts. He is gracious and merciful, ready to forgive those who confess their sins and to strengthen those who rely on Him. We need not hide our weakness from the One who knows us completely and loves us still.

Let us remember that our love for Jesus is a response to His love for us. As we dwell on His goodness, our hearts are renewed. His Spirit helps us grow in humility, courage, obedience, and love. May our words and deeds bear witness to the hope we have in Him, so that those around us may also come to know His saving grace.

“Because Jesus loved me first, I choose to trust Him, follow His ways, and share His love each day.”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, thank You for loving me and giving Yourself for my salvation. Thank You for Your mercy, Your faithfulness, and the hope I have in You. Forgive my sins, renew my heart, and strengthen me when my faith feels weak or my burdens feel heavy.

Teach me to trust Your Word, obey Your commandments, and love others with the patience and kindness You have shown me. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions throughout each day. Help me turn away from what is wrong, choose what is good, and serve those around me with a humble heart.

Keep me close to You through every season. Comfort me in sorrow, give me wisdom in difficult decisions, and fill me with courage when I face challenges. May Your Spirit help me grow in faith and reflect Your grace in all I do. Let my life bring honor to Your name and encourage others to seek You. I place my hopes and worries in Your hands, trusting in Your unfailing love. In Your precious name, Amen.

February 10th 2026 – Walking in His Presence: A Journey to Recognition

Scripture Reference:

“As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.” (Luke 24:15-16)

Reflection:

As we journey through life, much like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, we often find ourselves in moments of confusion and doubt. The road to Emmaus symbolizes our own paths, where we might feel lost or disheartened. Yet, it’s on these roads that Jesus walks alongside us, even when we fail to recognize His presence.

In Luke 24, after the resurrection, the disciples were grappling with their shattered hopes. They spoke of Jesus, the one they believed would redeem Israel, yet they were unaware that redemption had already occurred. As they walked, Jesus engaged them in conversation, revealing the Scriptures and pointing them toward the truth.

Key Themes:

  1. Presence in Our Journey: Like the disciples, we may not see Jesus in our struggles. Yet, He is there, inviting us to share our burdens. Acknowledge His presence in your life, especially during difficult times.
  2. Scripture as Guidance: Jesus used the Scriptures to explain His mission. Regular engagement with the Word helps us understand God’s plan and deepens our faith. Consider how Scripture speaks to your current situation.
  3. Recognition of His Work: It wasn’t until the breaking of bread that the disciples recognized Jesus. In our lives, moments of communion and reflection can reveal His work. Take time to observe where God is moving in your life.
  4. Sharing the Good News: After recognizing Jesus, the disciples rushed back to share their experience. Our encounters with Christ should inspire us to share His love and hope with others. Reflect on how you can share your faith story with those around you.

Spend a few moments in silence, reflecting on your own road to Emmaus. Where do you feel Jesus walking with you? How can you be more aware of His presence in your daily life? Consider journaling your thoughts or sharing them with a friend or mentor.

As you continue on your path, remember that each road leads to a deeper understanding of Emanuel—God with us. Let every step be taken in faith, knowing that He is always by your side.

“On the road to recognition, let us remember that even in our wandering, Christ walks beside us, illuminating our path with His love and grace.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of Your presence in our lives. Thank You for walking with us on our individual journeys, even in times when we feel lost or distant. Just as You accompanied the disciples on the road to Emmaus, remind us that You are always beside us, even when we are unaware.

Help us to recognize Your voice in the midst of our doubts and struggles. Open our eyes to see You at work in our lives and in the world around us. As we engage with Your Word, may it illuminate our paths and guide us toward a deeper understanding of Your love and purpose.

Lord, we ask for the courage to break bread with You, to share in that sacred communion that deepens our relationship with You. May these moments draw us closer to Your heart and open our eyes to the joy and hope that comes from knowing You.

Empower us to share our encounters with others. Let our stories reflect Your grace and love, inspiring those around us to seek their own relationship with You. Help us to be vessels of Your hope in times of despair and messengers of Your peace in moments of turmoil.

Thank You, Lord, for the promise that You are Emmanuel—God with us. May we carry that truth in our hearts as we walk our roads, trusting in Your guidance and love every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

November 22nd 2025 – The Nail on the Wall: A Modern Parable

Scripture Reading:

“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

Reflection:

Today’s lesson centers on story of a homeowner and a persistent buyer. It illustrates a powerful spiritual truth: even the smallest compromise can give the enemy a foothold in our lives.

The devil doesn’t need your whole house—one single nail is enough. This story explains it better than a thousand sermons.

The Story:

There was once a man who owned a beautiful home. One day, a very persistent buyer tried to purchase it from him. He offered money, favors—everything imaginable—but the owner refused. The house meant far too much to him.

But a few days later, the buyer returned with a strange request.

“I don’t want to buy the whole house,” he said. “I only want to purchase a single nail on the wall of your living room.”

Confused, the owner thought it was harmless, so he agreed.

Weeks passed. Then one day the buyer returned, carrying something horrifying: a rotting carcass. He hung it on the nail in the living room. Outraged, the owner demanded that he remove it.

But the buyer replied, “That nail is mine. I can hang whatever I want on it.”

Over time, the stench filled the entire home. Flies swarmed. Decay spread. The sickness of it all became unbearable—until the owner finally abandoned his own house.

The Lesson:

This is exactly how the enemy works. He doesn’t need your entire life—just the one space you are willing to surrender.
One open door, one excuse, one resentment you refuse to forgive.
One sin you may continue to justify.

Slowly, what seemed harmless begins to contaminate everything.

If there is anything in your life that you know isn’t right, don’t leave it hanging on the nail. Surrender it to God. The enemy may be satisfied with owning one nail, but God wants to restore the entire house.

Scripture warns us: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
(1 Peter 5:8)

No area of our lives is too small to surrender to God. Just as the owner should have refused to sell even a single nail, we must guard every part of our hearts.

If you’re holding onto anything that isn’t right, don’t let it dangle there—give it to God. He desires to cleanse, restore, and fill every corner of your life with His light.

“One nail surrendered to darkness can poison the whole house, but one heart surrendered to Jesus can redeem every room.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the precious gift of life, and for the home You have created within our hearts through Your Spirit. Thank You for Your grace that covers us and Your mercy that meets us daily. Lord, today we come before You with humility, asking You to search us and reveal any place in our lives where the enemy may be trying to gain a foothold.

Show us the “nails on the wall”—the compromises we’ve justified, the sins we have excused, the wounds we’ve held onto, the doors we’ve left cracked open. Give us the courage to surrender these areas fully to You, even when they feel small, familiar, or difficult to release.

We ask that You cleanse us from anything that brings decay to our spiritual homes. Remove every trace of bitterness, unforgiveness, fear, pride, addiction, temptation, and hidden sin. Wash us in the blood of Jesus, and purify every corner of our hearts so that nothing remains that does not honor You.

Fill us instead with Your presence, Your peace, and Your holiness. Let our hearts be a dwelling place for Your glory—a home where Your Spirit rests, where Your Word abides, and where Your light shines without obstruction.

Strengthen us to resist the enemy and close every door that leads to destruction. Help us to remain vigilant, discerning, and anchored in Your truth. And when we are weak, remind us that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Restore what has been broken, renew what has been worn down, and rebuild what we have abandoned. Make us whole again, Lord—from foundation to rooftop.

We give You the entire house, not just a room, not just a wall—every nail and every corner belongs to You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

October 26th 2025 – Is Being Good, Good Enough?

Scripture Reading:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)

There’s a dangerous lie that has quietly crept into our culture—the belief that being good is good enough. Many people think that morality equals spirituality, that kindness replaces repentance, and that doing the right thing earns a place in heaven.

But Satan isn’t against good morals—he’s against Jesus Christ. He doesn’t care if you’re kind, generous, or helpful, as long as you never bow your knee to the Savior.

The Pharisees were moral, respected, and disciplined, yet Jesus called them children of the devil because their morality had taken the place of faith. They trusted their righteousness more than they trusted the Redeemer.

Satan’s greatest victory isn’t turning bad people worse—it’s convincing good people that they don’t need grace. The world is full of people who live decent lives, give to charity, and serve others, yet remain lost because they’ve never surrendered their hearts to Christ.

The truth is simple and eternal:

Morality doesn’t save—Jesus saves.

You can live a good life and still die lost if you reject the only One who can forgive sin. There’s no other way to be reconciled to God but through the cross of Jesus Christ.

Something to Ponder:

  1. Have I trusted in my goodness more than in God’s grace.
  2. Do I believe that my actions make me right with God, or have I truly surrendered my heart to Jesus?
  3. Who around me might be living a “good” life but needs to hear that only Christ saves?

“Goodness without Jesus is like a lamp without oil — it may shine for a moment, but without the flame of grace, it cannot light the way home.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for reminding me that it’s not by my works, but by Your grace, that I am saved. Forgive me for the times I’ve trusted in my own righteousness instead of Your Son’s sacrifice.
Help me to rest in Your mercy, walk in Your truth, and point others toward the cross of Jesus Christ.
May my life be a testimony that goodness without God is empty, but grace through Jesus is everything. In His holy name I pray,
Amen.

The Call to Salvation

Satan loves morality without Jesus— It sends people to hell with a smile on their face, convinced they were good enough.

But trust this, you don’t have to be one of them. Today, you can lay down your self-righteousness, your striving, your “goodness,” and receive what only Jesus can give—grace, forgiveness, and eternal life.

If you’ve been trusting in your own works, your good heart, or your reputation—hear this truth:
Your goodness won’t save you. Your works won’t redeem you. Your morality won’t justify you.

Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away your sin and make you acceptable to a holy God.

Right now, wherever you are, you can invite Him into your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I know that being good isn’t enough. I’ve tried to live right, but I realize now that without You, I am lost.
I believe You died for me, rose from the dead, and offer me forgiveness and new life.
Today, I surrender my life to You—my Savior, my Lord, my Redeemer.
Come into my heart, Jesus. I bow my knee to You.
From this day forward, I trust in You alone. Amen.”
