April 11th 2025 – Unlimited Resource

“He who scatters has come up before your face. Man the fort! Watch the road! Strengthen your flanks! Fortify your power mightily.” (Nahum 2:1)

Tests and trials are a part of life and often push us to our limits in so many ways. During these times, what do you turn to? Do you first run to others seeking those who feel the same way you do? Do you find yourself to be anxious because you are constantly looking down the road of life waiting for the next attack? Maybe you run to your money or addiction to seek answers or comfort. Whatever the case may be, the truth is, when we do not run to God first, we will not last long.

As followers of Christ, we have the unlimited resource of wisdom and power available to anyone. He is our Father God and He desires to help us in times of need. We may be able to limp along on our own wisdom and strength for a time, but when we trust in the Lord’s strength and His infinite wisdom, we will never grow weary. Today you will encounter difficult situations. Don’t be surprised by them but simply use them as an excuse to draw closer to God. Need wisdom? Ask the Father. Desire strength? Find it in Jesus.

“When you aew faced with a problem, seek God first before relying on your own wisdom or strength.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your generous love for me. I am so grateful that I can run to You in times of need and You will hear my cry. Father, I ask for Your strength and wisdom today. No matter where I find myself I ask that You would guide my steps and use me for Your purposes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

April 8th 2025 – Overcoming Satanic Oppression

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:10-12

As Christians, we understand that our journey of faith is not merely physical but deeply spiritual. The reality of spiritual warfare is often underestimated, and many believers find themselves in the grips of oppression from the enemy. It’s essential to recognize that Satan seeks to undermine our faith, distract us from God’s purpose, and instill fear and doubt in our hearts.

When faced with oppression, it’s easy to feel isolated and helpless. However, we are not alone in this battle. The Lord has equipped us with His armor—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand firm against these attacks. Each piece of armor serves a vital purpose in protecting us and empowering us to resist the enemy.

Reflect on areas in your life where you may be feeling oppressed. Are there specific thoughts, fears, or situations that the enemy is using to attack you? Take a moment to write them down and then prayerfully hand them over to God, asking for His strength and guidance.

This week, choose a piece of the armor of God to focus on. Study its significance and implement it in your daily life. For instance, if you focus on the “shield of faith,” take time each day to read Scriptures that reinforce your faith and memorize them. Let God’s Word be your defense against the lies of the enemy.

Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. As you face the challenges of life, hold fast to His promises, and know that He is your refuge and strength. No matter how intense the oppression may feel, your identity in Christ is your greatest weapon.

Stand firm, for you are a child of the Most High, and victory is assured through Him.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise that we are never alone in our struggles. Help us to put on the full armor of God daily, allowing us to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Give us strength when we feel weak and courage when we feel afraid. Remind us that our victory is found in You, and may we always seek Your presence in times of trouble. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

March 29th 2025 – Hope Amidst the Chaos

“There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:11)

In this passage, Jesus speaks about the signs of the times that will precede His return. He acknowledges the reality of fear and uncertainty that accompanies such events. Earthquakes, famines, and pestilences are not merely historical references but reminders of the brokenness in our world. As we witness these occurrences, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by anxiety and despair. However, Jesus encourages us to look beyond the chaos to the hope that lies in Him.

In the midst of turmoil, we are reminded that God is sovereign. Every natural disaster, every sickness, and every fearful event is under His control. Rather than succumbing to fear, we can choose to trust in God’s promises. He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). These signs serve to awaken us, urging us to rely on Him and to share His love with others.

Take a moment to reflect on current events and the fears they may invoke in your heart. How can you respond with faith and hope instead of fear? Consider reaching out to a friend or family member who may also be struggling and offer them encouragement through God’s Word.

“God’s sovereignty remains our source of hope and strength. By focusing on His promises, we can transform our fear into faith and become beacons of His love to those around us.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being our anchor in the storm. Help us to remember that even in the face of calamity, You are in control. Grant us the strength to endure and the courage to share Your love and hope with those around us. May we be instruments of Your peace in a world filled with fear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

March 23rd 2025 – Safe and Secure with Jesus

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10:28)

I want you to fully understand the safety and security you have in God’s presence. If you have invited Jesus into your life, you are on the path to heaven, and nothing can hinder you from reaching that glorious destination. When you leave this life, you will have the incredible joy of seeing Him face to face, a joy that surpasses all earthly experiences. Even now, you are never separated from Him, even if you must see Him through the eyes of faith. He will walk with you until the end of time and beyond into eternity.

There may be moments when we don’t always feel His presence. Here are just a few of God’s promises to remind you:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

“No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Joshua 1:5)

“May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may He never leave us nor forsake us.” (1 Kings 8:57)

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” (Hebrews 13:5)

While we may choose to turn away from God, He will never abandon us. Regardless of how bleak a situation may seem or how empty you might feel, remember that God is always with you! His promises are unwavering, and His word stands above all else. We can move forward with confidence, knowing He goes before us. And if God is for us, who can stand against us?

When you forget His presence, you may experience feelings of loneliness or fear. It is through the awareness of His presence that peace can replace negative emotions. Make it a practice to walk consciously with Jesus each day.

“God’s promise: Safe and Secure in His Presence”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for walking with me and providing peace. I surrender each day to You, asking that You use me to help others come to know You. Continue to shape me into the person You have destined me to be. I love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you do not know Jesus personally,  I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. He loves us and wants to help us. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior please click here Click here

March 21st 2025 – Live and Abundant Life

“So I sent messengers to them, saying, ‘I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?’” (Nehemiah 6:3)

In the midst of our daily struggles, it’s essential to recognize that the enemy is always lurking, seeking to distract and deter us from the important work God has called us to. Satan thrives on chaos and despair; his aim is to drag us down into misery. He may present fleeting joys that ultimately lead to heartache, but we must remember that God offers a path filled with true joy and eternal hope.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

To resist the devil effectively, we need to invite Jesus to transform us from within. Merely going through the motions of faith isn’t enough; it’s about allowing Christ to renew our hearts and minds. If we cling to our old ways, we risk missing out on the fullness of life that God desires for us. Don’t let the enemy take hold—surrender to God and rely on His Spirit to guide you along His path.

“God can bless you, wherever you are.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I’ve let the enemy lead me astray from Your purpose. Open my eyes to Your truth and my ears to Your voice through Your Word, the Holy Spirit, and the community of believers around me. I desire Your ways above all else! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 14th 2025 – Wake up Call from God

“Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” (Psalm 119:67)

Sometimes, life throws challenges our way to grab our attention. When we stray from the right path, it’s as if God gently nudges us back, hoping we’ll reconsider our choices.

Take Jonah, for example. He was chosen to deliver a message to the Ninevites but instead chose to run in the opposite direction. In his disobedience, God didn’t abandon him; rather, He pursued Jonah because of His love. Just like that, God often reminds us that we can’t stray too far without Him noticing. He can guide us back to where we need to be.

As the psalmist reflects, “Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” Sometimes, it takes a difficult moment for us to realize what truly matters.

Have you ever had a wake-up call? Maybe you weren’t feeling well and finally decided to see a doctor. When the test results come back with concerning news, it can feel like your world is turned upside down. In that moment, you might promise to change, be more devoted, and appreciate life more. But once the storm passes and you hear that everything is okay, it’s easy to slip back into old routines. What happened to those promises?

If you’ve experienced that wake-up call, here’s some advice: Stay awake!

Life might not make sense right now, but trust that it will eventually. Remember, the Devil can’t touch a believer without God’s permission. God remains in control of every situation we face.

“God is in control of all circumstances that surround the life of the believer.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You have my attention! I ask for Your forgiveness for times I’ve done things my way and drifted from Your path. I commit to seeking You earnestly and listening to Your guidance. Your Word brings life, and I want to fill my heart with it. Thank You for being my constant support and for all You’ve done for me. You are so good, and I am truly grateful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 5th 2025 – In Your Peace, I will Find My Way

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” (Isaiah 26:3)

In the midst of life’s storms, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, especially for those grappling with addiction or burdens that weigh heavily on the heart. The world often throws distractions and temptations our way, leaving us feeling lost and unsure of our path. Yet, in these moments of struggle, we can find solace in the promise of God’s peace.

Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that perfect peace is reserved for those who keep their minds steadfast and trust in the Lord. Trust is not merely a passive acceptance; it is an active decision to lean on God’s understanding rather than our own. When we place our faith in Him, we invite His peace to wash over us, soothing our anxious thoughts and guiding us on our journey.

Imagine walking through a dense fog, where every step feels uncertain and treacherous. But then, a light pierces through the gloom—a beacon of hope showing the way. This is what God’s peace does for us. It illuminates our path, allowing us to navigate through our struggles with clarity and strength.

When we surrender our worries and addictions to Him, we create space for His serenity to fill our hearts. This doesn’t mean that challenges will vanish; rather, it signifies that we do not face them alone. God walks with us, offering His guiding hand.

Take a few moments to sit in silence. Reflect on what burdens you are carrying today. Breathe deeply, and as you exhale, visualize releasing those burdens into God’s hands. Allow His peace to envelop you, reminding you that in His embrace, you will always find your way.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In moments of doubt and fear, help me to trust in You fully. I lay down my struggles and addictions at Your feet, knowing that with You, I can find my way. Fill my heart with Your serenity, and let it guide me in every step I take. May I always remember that in Your presence, I am safe and loved. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

February 28th 2025 – Solitude in the Silence

“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

In our fast-paced world filled with constant noise and distraction, finding moments of solitude can seem almost impossible. Yet, it is in these quiet spaces that we often encounter God most profoundly. Solitude is not merely the absence of noise; it is an intentional retreat into the presence of God, allowing Him to speak to our hearts and renew our spirits.

Jesus often sought solitude. He withdrew to the mountains to pray, to spend time with His Father, and to recharge for the work ahead (Matthew 14:23). In these moments of silence, He found clarity, strength, and direction. If the Son of God needed solitude, how much more do we?

When we embrace solitude, we open ourselves to hear God’s voice amidst the silence. It’s a time to lay down our burdens, worries, and distractions. As we sit quietly, we may find that God’s whispers of love, peace, and guidance become more pronounced.

Consider setting aside time each day to enter into solitude. Find a quiet place, turn off your devices, and allow yourself to be still. You might want to meditate on Scripture, pray, or simply listen. It’s in these sacred moments that God can reveal His truths and fill our hearts with His presence.

As you go about your day, seek opportunities for quiet moments. Perhaps during your morning coffee, your commute, or before bed, pause to breathe deeply and invite God into that space. Reflect on how solitude can transform your relationship with Him, inviting you to hear His voice more clearly.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to embrace solitude in my life. Teach me to be still and to listen for Your voice. May I find comfort in the silence, knowing that You are with me. Thank You for the gift of Your presence and the peace that comes from being in communion with You. In Jesus Precious name, Amen.

February 5th 2025 – Kairos (In God’s Perfect Time)

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman…” (Galatians 4:4)

In our fast-paced world, waiting is often seen as a burden rather than a blessing. Yet, in the biblical context, the concept of “Kairos” reminds us that there are moments in life that are filled with divine significance. “Kairos” refers to the opportune time set by God—a moment when His purposes intersect with our lives in profound ways.

As we reflect on the lyrics of the song “Kairos,” we are reminded that every day holds promise in God’s perfect timing. In the stillness of dawn, when the world is quiet, we can hear His gentle whisper guiding us through the uncertainties of life. Just as the dawn brings light after the night, God’s timing brings clarity and hope amid our struggles.

When we encounter challenges—mountains that seem insurmountable or moments of doubt—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. However, the assurance of God’s presence reminds us that we are never alone. Every tear we shed is collected with tender care, and every moment of fear can be transformed into a testimony of faith.

In the chorus of the song, we sing, “Kairos, in Your perfect time, every season has a rhyme.” This serves as a powerful declaration that God has a purpose for every season of our lives, even when we cannot see it. Waiting may be difficult, but it is in those times that we grow stronger in faith and learn to trust Him more deeply.

As you go through your day, remember that every moment is an opportunity to experience God’s love and grace. Trust in His perfect timing, knowing that you are held in His embrace. Allow the beauty of Kairos to unfold in your life, and watch for the divine moments that shape your journey.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Kairos—Your perfect timing in my life. Help me to embrace the seasons of waiting with a hopeful heart. May I trust that You are working all things for my good, even when I cannot see the bigger picture. Teach me to find peace in Your presence and to recognize the moments You have ordained for me. Strengthen my faith, so I can wait with anticipation for the good You have in store. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

January 24th 2025 – Embracing the Light of Christ

Click play to hear this devotion read by the author.

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” (John 8:12)

In a world frequently overshadowed by uncertainty, fear, and despair, the declaration of Jesus as the “light of the world” stands as a beacon of hope and guidance. Just as a lighthouse steadfastly navigates ships through treacherous waters to safe harbor, Christ serves as our guiding light through the turbulent seas of life.

Consider the experience of traversing a dimly lit room, where each step feels uncertain and fraught with potential hazards. The instant you switch on a light, the entire atmosphere transforms. Clarity emerges, and you can see the path before you, navigate around obstacles, and make informed decisions. In the same way, when we consciously invite Jesus into our hearts and lives, we receive not just illumination for our path, but also a renewed perspective that reveals the beauty of God’s creation and the depth of His love for each of us.

Every day presents us with opportunities to encounter doubt, anxiety, and confusion. It is all too easy to become engulfed by the surrounding darkness and to feel lost amidst the chaos. Yet, Jesus gently invites us to place our trust in Him. By choosing to follow His teachings and embracing His comforting presence, we can undergo a remarkable transformation that dispels the shadows and fills our hearts with divine peace.

Take a few moments to reflect deeply on aspects of your life where you feel the need for the illuminating presence of Christ. Consider how you might actively invite Him into those areas, allowing His transformative light to penetrate your heart and mind, bringing clarity and hope.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being the radiant light in our lives. We humbly ask for Your guidance in every decision we face. May Your light shine brilliantly within us, illuminating our paths and those of others around us. In moments of despair or confusion, remind us of Your constant presence and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
