February 19th 2020 – Where God Guides, God Provides

“And Abraham called the name of the place, The Lord Will Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
(Genesis 22:14)

Abraham was willing to give his all unto the Lord. In obedience to God he was willing to let go of the next most beloved thing in his lifeñhis son. Jesus said this about our following of Him:

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” (Matthew 10:37)

What do you and I put in front of the Lord in our lives? Is it our marriage, kids, work, or our own self interests? God is able to do such an amazing thing in our hearts and lives if we’d simply yield to Him as Abraham did in this chapter. Abraham was willing to offer his only son in obedience, but God instead offered Himself as the sacrifice (Genesis 22:8) through Christ who was to come. Abraham was told his descendants would be as the stars in the sky, basically innumerable. So it is for us in our time of testing. When we yield to the Lord in spite of the pain or difficulty in the current situation, we can trust by faith that the Lord will provide exponential blessing and goodness upon our lives.

“Giving our all to God will yield countless blessings many of which we may never come to know till we are in the presence of God.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please help me identify those things that have priority over my heart instead of You. Please give me the grace to be willing to forsake all and follow You in all my ways. Help instill in me that You have a plan and are in control. I love You and want the blessing You have for me and my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

January 27th 2020 – God Is Calling, Will You Answer?

“Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)

Have you ever been called to do something? Maybe you received a call from a friend to help them move. You may have received the call from a family member or friend who needed advice. All those things are great, but did you know that as a Christian, you have been called by God? If you have a relationship with Jesus, then you are called by Him to change the world. This may be through personal evangelism, serving at your church, giving to the ministry or many other things. Whatever the call may be, all Christians should obey God’s call on their life.

About 8 years ago, God called us into a new adventure with this ministry.  He encouraged me to step out and start writing and teaching His word to others. From that moment when we started writing and  posting daily Christian devotions on Scriptural Seeds, God has continually increased the number of people reading each day from a few, to sometimes over 30,000 a day. But more importantly, He has continued to change lives through the teaching of His Word. I didn’t know all the details, I just was obedient to His call. God told me to teach His word, He would take care of the rest.

Through this website / blog. There has been so many precious souls that have accepted Jesus into their life and been forever changed. All of this because I answered a call and partnered with Jesus. I had no idea that the call He had placed on my life would end up impacting people all over the world, but God did! Scriptural Seeds has never asked for or received any donations other than what we pay for ourselves. I continue to work my full time jobs and serve Jesus obediently each day. But God truly and faithfully makes this ministry possible each month.

The point is, you honestly have no idea what God is going to do through your obedience to His call on your life. Take that step today. Walk in boldness and Faith and Trust the Lord, live for Him and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

“We are all called to be different in our lives, and we should be passionate and serious about that calling.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for saving me and changing my life. Today, I give my life to You and ask that You would use my life for Your glory and the good of others. Give me a passion for the lost and an opportunity to use my gifts and talents for Your Kingdom. You’ve called me to action, and I’m answering. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

December 9th 2019 – God Knows

“But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.” (John 6:6)

Praise the Lord that we don’t know everything that is going to happen. Why? Because that is what keeps our lives hopeful. However, uncertainty can definitely be frustrating, mainly because we want to know everything but we can’t.

There are things we go through that surprise us and catch us off guard. Sometimes we go through so much, we start expecting it around every corner. Remember, that is not from God. Also never forget that nothing in your life catches God off guard or surprises Him.

The things we are dealing with right now, at this moment, God knew before we even came on the scene. That can be pretty mind blowing, but here is the kicker… He also knows how we are going to get out of our tough situations. He saw the curve ball coming long before you did and He prepared us for what He already saw coming. He knows what fruit this trial is going to produce in each of our lives. For our benefit, He allows this trial or that test to proceed. But, take heart and be strong. While we may wonder how it works out and what happens next, we can trust in our God because He knows all along what He is going to do.

“We don’t know everything, but God does.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your provision of growth in my life. You love me so much that You do not want me to remain who I am but to grow in Your good gifts. What an incredible comfort it is to know that my Father in Heaven knows who I am and who I will be and will see me through the changes, Thank You!

Thank You for the people in my life. The ones that You often Move through, I can see Your Holy Spirit in. They are great examples of Your love for me. I praise You for answered prayers. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

August 30th 2017 – Answer the Call

A little over five years ago, God called us into a new adventure with this ministry.  He encouraged me to step out and start writing and teaching His word to others. From that moment over five years ago, God has increased the number from a couple of people reading each day, to days that have over 50,000 views, but more importantly, He has continued to change lives through the teaching of His Word. I didn’t know all the details, I just was obedient to His call. God told me to teach His word, He would take care of the rest.

As of yesterday we reached a total of “since we started” 24,208 people that have come to know Jesus personally, and these were the people that took the time to check the “I accepted Jesus” button or email us. All of this because we answered a call and partnered with Jesus. I had no idea that the call He had placed on my life would end up impacting people all over the world, but God did!
