The terms “dogs” and “pigs” may seem harsh, but they serve to illustrate a vital truth: not everyone is prepared to appreciate or respect the holy things of God. This scripture calls us to evaluate our interactions and consider the value of what we hold dear.

Imagine the effort it takes to gather pearls, each one a symbol of beauty and worth, akin to the insights and experiences we gain through our relationship with God. Just as we wouldn’t recklessly toss these precious jewels to those who would disregard their value, we must be mindful of where we share our spiritual truths. September 18th 2026 -Trusting Jesus Even When Life Is Continously Difficult

“But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.” (John 6:6)

Reflection:

In our journey through life, we often encounter moments that leave us bewildered and questioning. The uncertainty of what lies ahead can be daunting, and sometimes our desire to control our immediate future often can lead to frustration. Yet, in the midst of this turmoil, we can find peace in the profound truth that God knows everything. He is never caught off guard by our circumstances, and that alone is a source of immense comfort.

Imagine the moments that have surprised you—those unexpected challenges that seemed too great to bear. The beauty of our faith lies in the assurance that before we even faced these trials, God was already aware of them. He knew the struggles we would encounter and the heartaches we would feel.

God’s Sovereignty:

  • He Sees the Bigger Picture: When we are mired in confusion, it’s easy to forget that God has a perspective far beyond our own. He doesn’t just see our present; He sees our future and every step in between. Every trial we face is a testament to His sovereignty and love.
  • Preparation for Growth: God allows us to face challenges not to break us, but to mold us. Each trial is an opportunity for growth, producing fruit in our lives that we may not recognize in the moment. It’s through these experiences that our faith deepens, our character strengthens, and our reliance on Him grows.

Encouragement in Uncertainty:

“What advantage is there in being a believer, or what benefit is there in following Christ? Tremendous advantages! Primarily because we have been entrusted with the profound truths of God.” (Romans 3:1-2)

Reflection:

A contemporary thought leader once posed a compelling question: “If you were given an incredibly complicated gold timepiece, would you honor the creator by asking them how it works, or would you simply explore its features?”

Similarly, God has gifted us with His ultimate guide—His Word. It’s not just a book; it’s a roadmap for our lives, meant to be actively engaged with and applied. In various parts of the world, owning a Bible is a serious risk, leading to persecution or even death. Many believers have bravely faced these dangers for the faith and truths we often take for granted.

You possess the privilege of having a Bible and the freedom to dive into its teachings. How do you cherish this invaluable gift? Is it gathering dust on a shelf, merely a decorative piece, or is it a vital source of guidance in your everyday life? The Bible is more than just text; it has the power to navigate you through life’s storms, strengthen your relationships, and transform your heart—if you commit to reading, studying, and living its teachings. Remember, it is the very essence of God’s Word.

“Jesus said to those who believed in Him, ‘If you remain in My teachings, you are truly My followers. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” (John 8:31-32)

I urge you to immerse yourself in Scripture. Make sure you and your family are part of a community that values and teaches the Bible. Foster a daily routine of prayer and reflection on God’s Word. Lead your family in devotion and shared prayer. By diligently practicing these habits, you’ll witness amazing transformations, miracles, and blessings in your life and those around you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of Your Word. I seek Your forgiveness for the times I’ve overlooked its importance in my life. Ignite a deep hunger in my heart for Your Scriptures, that I may desire to read and understand them daily. Open my mind to grasp Your wisdom and fill my spirit with the courage to live out Your truths.

Help me to share this gift with my family and friends, so that together we may grow in faith and understanding. May Your Word illuminate our paths, guiding our decisions and shaping our character.

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:15-17)

Reflection:

In our daily lives, we are often entangled in the allure of the worldly world. The temptations of materialism, ambition, and fleeting pleasures can overshadow our relationship with God. The passage from 1 John reminds us that these worldly desires are not aligned with God’s will.

  • The Lust of the Flesh: This represents our cravings for immediate gratification—whether that be through food, relationships, or other physical pleasures. While these things are not inherently wrong, they can lead us away from spiritual fulfillment when prioritized over our faith.
  • The Lust of the Eyes: Our society bombards us with images and messages that promote envy and desire for what others possess. This can foster discontentment and distract us from appreciating the blessings God has already bestowed upon us.
  • The Pride of Life: The pursuit of status, power, and recognition can create a false sense of security and identity. It can lead us away from humility and reliance on God, fostering a sense of independence that neglects our need for divine guidance.

Reflection:

In our fast-paced world, distractions abound, pulling us away from the divine purpose God has set before us. Much like Nehemiah faced opposition while rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, we too encounter challenges that seek to divert our attention from the great work God has called us to do. The enemy—Satan—thrives on chaos and despair, using distractions as tools to lead us astray. His goal is to drag us into a cycle of misery, making us believe that fleeting pleasures can satisfy our deepest longings.

True Joy vs. Fleeting Pleasures
In John 10:10, Jesus reminds us, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” This verse is a powerful reminder that while the enemy seeks to rob us of our joy, Jesus offers us fullness of life. True joy is not found in momentary pleasures but in the abiding presence of Christ, who empowers us to rise above our circumstances.

Transforming from Within
To effectively resist the devil, we must invite Jesus to transform our hearts and minds. This transformation isn’t just about following religious rituals or attending church; it’s about a deep, personal relationship with Christ. Allowing Him to renew our minds and reshape our desires is vital. When we cling to our old ways, we miss out on the abundant life God has promised us.

  4. Stay Committed: Like Nehemiah, remain steadfast in your mission. Understand that the work you are doing for God is significant, and do not let anything derail you from it.

“He heals thebrokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

Reflection:

It is easy to believe in healing when the answers come quickly. The true test of faith happens in the waiting room of life. When your body is tired, your mind is anxious, or your spirit feels worn down, doubt can quietly whisper that nothing will change.

God hears your prayers the very first time you speak them. He is not distant or indifferent to your pain. He is called the Great Physician because His healing goes far beyond physical symptoms. He restores broken hearts, mends fractured minds, and breathes new life into exhausted spirits.

Believing in healing means surrendering your timeline to His perfect wisdom. Trust that He is working behind the scenes even when you cannot see the progress yet. Stand firm in the truth that His love for you is infinite, and His power to restore you is absolute.

Daily Affirmations:

  • I am healed by His stripes (Isaiah 53:5).
  • Each day, I embrace the strength that comes from my faith.
  • I choose to believe in miracles, both big and small.
  • My heart is open to receiving Your healing grace.

August 28th 2026 – The Heart of Integrity: Choosing Truth in a Deceptive World

“In whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.” (Psalms 26:10)

Reflection:

In this verse, the psalmist, David, contrasts the integrity of the righteous with the deceitfulness of the wicked. It serves as a reminder of the moral choices each person faces daily. Those who operate in darkness—engaging in wicked schemes and accepting bribes—are ultimately seeking their own gain at the expense of others. This verse speaks to the heart of integrity and the importance of aligning our actions with God’s righteousness.

  • Integrity vs. Deceit: David emphasizes the importance of living a life grounded in truth. As believers, we are called to reflect Christ’s character, which embodies honesty and integrity.
  • Consequences of Wickedness: The schemes of the wicked may seem to prosper for a time, but they lead to destruction. God’s justice will prevail, and those who choose deceit over righteousness will face the consequences of their actions.
  • A Call to Purity: This verse challenges us to examine our own hearts. Are there areas where we may be tempted to cut corners or act unjustly for personal gain? God desires purity and truth in our hearts.

Practical Application:

  1. Examine Your Heart: Spend time in prayer, asking God to reveal any areas in your life where you may be compromising your integrity.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your Word that guides us toward righteousness. We acknowledge the challenges of living in a world filled with deceit and temptation. Help us to be men and women of integrity, reflecting Your truth in every aspect of our lives.

Lord, we ask that You search our hearts and reveal any areas where we may be compromising our values. Give us the strength to resist the allure of wicked schemes and the courage to choose honesty, even when it’s difficult. May we find joy in living according to Your will, knowing that our choices reflect our commitment to You.

We pray for those around us who struggle with integrity, that You would open their eyes to the truth and lead them back to righteousness. Encourage and support them through our actions and words. Let us be instruments of Your peace and truth in their lives.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:22)

Reflection:

In our daily lives, we often find ourselves facing decisions that challenge our values and beliefs. This is where the importance of engaging with Scripture becomes vital. Studying the Bible not only informs us of God’s will but also equips us to align our actions with His truth. Just as Pontius Pilate wrestled with truth yet chose to act against it, we too face moments where we know what is right but struggle to follow through.

The call to be ‘doers of the Word’ is a reminder that faith is not a passive belief but an active lifestyle. When we deeply engage with Scripture, we cultivate an understanding that inspires us to translate our knowledge into action. Our faith should be a catalyst for change—not just in our lives but in the lives of those around us.

Key Reflection:

  • Are we allowing our beliefs to shape our actions?
  • How can we actively live out the teachings of the Bible in our day-to-day interactions?

Prayer:

August 26th 2026 – Trusting God When We Don’t Understand

Scripture Reference:

“Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Reflection:

We often find it easy to trust God when life is smooth sailing—when bills are paid, and promotions are received. But what happens when everything feels uncertain? When God asks us to let go of the familiar and venture into the unknown? In those moments of confusion and pain, will we still trust Him?

Many of us have faced seasons where God has stripped away our comforts, urging us into unfamiliar territory. We may feel lost and unsure, holding onto a word from God—a promise or instruction—that seems distant. If you’re feeling this way, you’re not alone. Here are four key reminders to guide you through the uncertainty:

1. Consider the Source

    “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13).

    Only God possesses this eternal perspective. His understanding transcends our limited view. When struggling to trust, ask yourself: Are you depending on God or your own understanding? Humans are fallible; we can mislead ourselves and others. God, however, is faithful and true. He keeps His promises and provides clear guidance.

    Remember, if God is with you—the same God who created you and knows your future—nothing can stand against you. Trust in His provisions, even when the path ahead is unclear.

    2. Trust the Lord

    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

    Learning to trust God gives you a sense of peace, knowing He’s in control, even when life feels chaotic. This trust isn’t about avoiding discomfort; it’s about seeking God’s presence and guidance during challenging times. Make the conscious choice to rely on Him, even when fear creeps in.

    3. Be Obedient

    “Obedience is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).

    God values obedience over ritualistic acts of worship. Just like Abraham, who left everything familiar without knowing where he was headed, we too must choose to obey, even when the path isn’t clear. Abraham could have easily questioned God’s plan, but he chose faith and action. We are called to do the same.

    4. Have Faith in the Lord

    “It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that He would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).

    God doesn’t always reveal the full plan upfront. Sometimes, He asks us to take one step at a time. As we obey, our faith deepens. Trusting in God is a journey that requires us to move forward, even when we can’t see the whole picture.

    I encourage you to share your experiences below if you feel led. Remember, even if life feels overwhelming, God will reveal pieces of the puzzle as you step out in faith, trust, and obedience.

    “If you can trust God to save you for eternity, you can trust Him to lead you for a lifetime.”

    Prayer:

    Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your guidance and wisdom in times of uncertainty. I thank You for Your unwavering love and faithfulness, even when I find it hard to understand the path You’ve laid out for me. Help me to embrace the unknown with courage, knowing that You are my constant companion.

    Lord, instill within me a spirit of obedience. May I be sensitive to Your voice, ready to follow Your instructions, even when they lead me away from my comfort zone. Teach me to trust in Your plans, even when they don’t align with my own desires or understanding. Help me to remember that Your ways are higher than my ways, and Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts.

    When fear and doubt creep in, remind me of the countless times You have guided and provided for me. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, allowing me to rest in the assurance that You are in control. Help me to lean not on my own understanding, but to place my trust entirely in You.

    As I navigate life’s challenges, I ask for Your strength to endure. Grant me patience and resilience when I feel overwhelmed. Help me to know that it’s okay to feel lost at times, but I must not lose sight of Your promises. May Your Word be my anchor, guiding me through the storms of life.

    I also lift up those around me who are struggling—whether they are facing physical, emotional, or spiritual battles. Lord, surround them with Your love and comfort. Help them to seek You wholeheartedly, finding hope and healing in Your presence. May they experience the depth of Your grace and the power of Your provision.

    Thank You for the clarity You will bring, piece by piece, as I trust and obey You. I know that I do not walk this journey alone, for You are with me every step of the way. I surrender my worries and cares to You, confident that You are orchestrating every detail of my life for my good and Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
