“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. We often prioritize work, relationships, and personal ambitions, inadvertently placing them above our relationship with Jesus. However, the call to follow Christ is a call to put Him first in everything we do. The theme “Only You” reminds us that Jesus should occupy the foremost place in our hearts and lives.

When we seek Jesus first, we align our lives with His purpose and plan. This doesn’t mean that we neglect our responsibilities or passions; rather, it means that we approach them with a heart that desires to honor Him. By prioritizing our relationship with Christ, we gain wisdom and strength to navigate the challenges of life.

Consider the story of Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42). Martha was busy with many tasks, while Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to His teachings. Jesus gently affirmed Mary’s choice, highlighting that prioritizing Him is the “one thing” needed. This serves as a powerful reminder that our time spent with Jesus is never wasted.

Take a moment to reflect on your daily priorities. What is one thing you can do today to place Jesus at the center of your life? Whether it’s dedicating a specific time for prayer, reading Scripture, or simply pausing to acknowledge His presence, remember that putting Jesus first transforms not only your day but your entire life.

“When we choose to put Jesus first, we discover that everything else falls into place. He is our anchor, our guide, and our greatest treasure. Let this be our daily commitment: to say “Only You, Lord” in every situation, trusting that He truly knows what we need.”

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to recognize the areas in my life where I have placed other things above You. Teach me to seek You first in all that I do. May my heart always desire to spend time in Your presence, allowing Your love and wisdom to guide my steps. Thank You for being my priority and for loving me unconditionally. I commit to putting You first today and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

June 2nd 2025 – It Can Be Forgiven

“He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

Often, people mistakenly believe that God forgives only small sins—like lying, harboring anger, or impure thoughts—while overlooking the so-called “big” sins, such as murder and adultery. This misconception could not be further from the truth. There is no sin too great for God to forgive. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the penalty for every sin throughout history. When someone repents and seeks forgiveness, placing their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, all sins—past, present, and future, big or small—are forgiven. Jesus’ sacrifice ensures that once forgiven, they are truly gone.

“In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Everyone has sinned.” (Colossians 1:14)

“All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.” (Acts 10:43)

We are all guilty of sin (Romans 3:23) and deserve eternal punishment (Romans 6:23). Yet, Jesus died for us to take on that penalty (Romans 5:8). Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ for salvation is forgiven, regardless of their past actions.

While someone who has committed serious crimes may still face significant earthly consequences—be they legal or relational—this does not affect their spiritual standing before God. The moment a murderer, thief, or adulterer believes and places their faith in Christ, they are completely and permanently forgiven.

Everyone can be saved through Jesus.

The key factor is not the magnitude of the sin but the enormity of Christ’s atoning sacrifice. The shed blood of the sinless Lamb of God is powerful enough to cover all the sins of every person who believes in Him. When Jesus proclaimed, “It is finished,” He brought an end to sin, providing complete atonement and satisfaction, granting us pardon, peace, and redemption. This work is full and final; nothing can be added to it, and it is accomplished entirely by God’s grace.

What happens when we repent? (Asking for forgiveness before God)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

God’s love for us runs deeper than we can comprehend, yet He passionately detests our sin. That’s why He sent Jesus—to remove our sin and the barrier it creates between us and Him. The blood of Jesus is the only force capable of breaking down that wall. When we repent—confessing and turning away from our sins—we unlock the floodgates of God’s blessings and goodness in our lives.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I have broken Your laws and that my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry and desire to turn away from my past sinful life and toward You. Please forgive me and help me to avoid sinning again. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is alive, hearing my prayer. I invite Jesus to be the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to guide me in obeying You and fulfilling Your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

June 1st 2025 – The Strong Tower

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)

For those of us who believe, the Name of Jesus serves as our refuge—a stronghold filled with protection, provision, safety, and comfort. In His Name, we find strength and reassurance.

It is in the Name of Jesus that every demon must bow, and it is through this Name that our prayers are powerfully answered.

Let us reflect on a few scriptures that reveal these profound truths:

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;” (Mark 16:17)

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14)

These scriptures remind us that all power resides in His Name. It’s no surprise that the enemy seeks to diminish its significance. Yet, as those called by His great Name, we cherish and honor THE NAME OF JESUS!

“Amid life’s storms, the name of the Lord stands as a refuge; when the righteous seek it, they find shelter and strength.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, today we turn our hearts to the mighty power of Your Name. We declare that You are Lord, and through Your Name, we can cast out demons and heal the sick. It is in Your Name that our prayers find answers. Greant me the wisdom to understand Your Word so that I know how to defend against Satan’s weapons of destruction. Finally, thank You for the victory I have in  Your name “Jesus Christ”. No matter what Satan says or does, I cannot be taken from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

In our journey of faith, we often find ourselves grappling with the enormity of who Jesus Christ is. He is not just a historical figure or a moral teacher; He is the Son of God, the Creator of the universe, and the Savior of our souls. The sheer magnitude of His love and grace is beyond our comprehension, and yet, we are invited into a relationship with Him.

Consider the beauty of creation that surrounds us—the mountains, the oceans, the intricate details of a flower. Each element reflects a fragment of His glory. Yet, as grand as creation is, it pales in comparison to the depth of Christ’s love for us. He willingly laid down His life, bearing our sins and shame, so that we could be reconciled to God. How can we even begin to articulate the significance of such a sacrifice?

In our prayers, we may find ourselves at a loss for words. We might try to express our gratitude, our awe, and our worship, but often, our language feels insufficient. This is the beauty of our faith: it thrives in the mystery. We don’t need to have all the answers or understand everything; we simply need to acknowledge His greatness.

Spend a few moments in silence, reflecting on the aspects of Christ’s character that leave you in wonder. Write down your thoughts, even if they feel inadequate. Remember, it is in our humility and our recognition of His greatness that we find true worship.

“Jesus Christ is the indescribable gift of love and grace, a mystery that invites us to marvel at His greatness beyond our understanding.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the indescribable gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to grasp the depths of His love and the heights of His grace. As we navigate our lives, may we be continually in awe of who He is and what He has done. Teach us to rely on Your wisdom, knowing that Your ways are higher than our own. May our hearts overflow with praise, even when we cannot find the words. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

May 30th 2025 – The Grace of Forgiveness

“Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12)


Forgiveness is at the heart of the Christian faith. It is a profound act that mirrors the grace and mercy that Jesus extends to us. In Matthew 6:12, we are reminded of the interconnection between our forgiveness and the forgiveness we offer to others. This verse from the Lord’s Prayer encapsulates the essence of our relationship with God and with one another.

As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His love and compassion. Jesus demonstrated ultimate forgiveness through His sacrifice on the cross, bearing our sins and offering us redemption. When we accept His forgiveness, we are transformed. This transformation empowers us to forgive others, even when it is challenging.

Key Points to Consider:

  1. Understanding Forgiveness:
    Forgiveness does not mean condoning wrong actions or absolving someone of their responsibility; rather, it is choosing to release the burden of anger and resentment. It is a decision to let go of the hurt and to seek healing.
  2. The Example of Jesus:
    Jesus exemplified forgiveness throughout His ministry. From forgiving the woman caught in adultery (John 8:1-11) to His words on the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34), He shows us that forgiveness is a choice rooted in love and compassion.
  3. The Challenge of Forgiveness:
    Forgiveness can be one of the hardest tasks we face. It often involves deep emotional pain and hurt. Yet, we are reminded that holding onto bitterness only harms us. When we forgive, we free ourselves from the chains of resentment and allow God’s peace to fill our hearts.
  4. Practical Steps to Forgive:
  • Pray for a Forgiving Heart: Ask God to help you cultivate a spirit of forgiveness.
  • Reflect on Your Own Forgiveness: Consider how much you have been forgiven by Christ and let that motivate you to extend grace to others.
  • Take Action: Sometimes, forgiveness requires a step of faith. This could mean reaching out to the person, writing a letter, or simply letting go of the offense in your heart.

“As we walk in the light of Christ’s forgiveness, let us strive to be vessels of His grace. Forgiveness is not just an act; it is a lifestyle that brings us closer to God and to one another. Let us choose to forgive, as we have been forgiven.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of forgiveness. Help us to remember how much we have been forgiven through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant us the strength to extend that same grace to others, even when it is difficult. Heal our hearts and help us let go of past hurts. May our lives reflect Your love and forgiveness to a world in need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May 29th 2025 – In the Shadow of the Cross

“After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.” (1 Corinthians 15:6)

Imagine the profound blessing those early followers of Jesus experienced. They knew Him intimately before His crucifixion, and then they witnessed the miracle of His resurrection. This group, having listened to His teachings and shared meals with Him, must have felt an incredible longing for His return. They had witnessed His suffering and then rejoiced in His victory over death. After witnessing His ascension, their hearts must have been filled with anticipation, believing He would return at any moment.

Fast forward two thousand years, and we find ourselves in a similar position—waiting. Although we may not have walked with Jesus in the flesh, we can still approach Him in prayer, and though He hasn’t shared our meals, we participate in communion with Him. Each day, we live in the shadow of the cross, reflecting on the immense sacrifice He made for us and longing for His glorious return.

Yet, this waiting is not a passive endeavor. It is a call to action. In the meantime, we are tasked with sharing the incredible story of God’s love and the sacrifice of Christ for our sins—a truth that resonates through all of eternity.

“We should live in the expectation of the return of Jesus.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I eagerly await the return of Your Son and the Kingdom that follows. Remind me that this world is temporary and that my true home is with Christ. Until He returns, grant me strength, wisdom, and opportunities to share the message of our coming King. Keep us anchored in the Shadow of the Cross as we anticipate Your Glorious and Triumphant return. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May 28th 2025 – The Unconditional Love of Jesus

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)


In a time where conditions often govern our relationships, it’s easy to feel the weight of expectations and judgments. We strive to meet standards set by others, and sometimes, we even impose those same standards on ourselves. Yet, amidst this chaos, there exists a love that transcends all boundaries—a love that is purely unconditional.

Jesus’ love for us is not based on our performance, our past mistakes, or our ability to meet certain criteria. It is a love that sees us at our worst and still chooses to embrace us wholeheartedly. When we reflect on His life, we see a Savior who dined with sinners, healed the broken, and offered grace to those who felt unworthy. His entire ministry was a testament to the depth of His love and the lengths He would go to for our redemption.

Imagine the moment when Jesus hung on the cross, bearing the weight of our sins. He didn’t do it because we earned it or deserved it; He did it because His love for us is boundless. Even in our darkest moments, His love shines the brightest. It reaches into the depths of our despair, offering hope and healing.


Today, take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you might feel unworthy of love. What burdens are you carrying that make you feel distant from Jesus? Bring those feelings to Him in prayer. Acknowledge the truth that His love is not contingent on your ability to achieve or perform but is a free gift given to you simply because you are His child.

Let this truth transform the way you see yourself and others. If Jesus can love us unconditionally, how can we extend that same love to those around us? Challenge yourself to show grace to someone today—whether it’s a friend, a family member, or even a stranger. Let your actions reflect the heart of Christ.

As you go about your day, remember that you are deeply loved by Jesus—just as you are. Rest in that truth and let it guide your thoughts, actions, and interactions with others. His love is your foundation, and from that place, you can share the beauty of His grace with the world.

“True strength lies in the unbreakable bond of love that transcends every barrier—be it life or death, joy or sorrow. In this divine connection, we find our ultimate solace and unwavering hope, knowing that nothing can sever our journey with love.”

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for Your unconditional love that knows no bounds. Help me to grasp the depth of Your grace and to remember that I am worthy of love simply because I am created in Your image. Teach me to reflect Your love to others, extending grace and mercy in a world that often feels unforgiving. May my heart be a vessel of Your love, shining brightly in the lives of those I encounter. Amen.

May 27th 2025 – God Has Got Your Back

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

Many times when we are feeling discouraged, it is as if the whole world is against us. It is like we are swimming upstream, constantly fighting a powerful current that seems to be pushing us downstream despite all our efforts. It can be a frustrating experience to feel that we are going one way and everyone else is going in another direction.

The reality is that in the world we live in, we will find many people and obstacles that will seem to be in direct opposition to where we are going. This can be a very discouraging and lonely reality unless we take Romans 8:31 to heart.

The truth is that God is for us, not against us. Not only is He on our side but He is in our corner cheering us on as He plans great things for our lives.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

If we can grasp the truth of our Father’s heart towards us, it will not matter who is opposing us or what is standing in our way! For we will be confident that our Heavenly Fatheris the biggest, strongest, most loving person in the universe and has declared to the heavens that He is for us! What will you say in response to this declaration?

“God is love, He loves us and He pursues us with that love.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being for me and not against me. I believe that Your love causes all things to work together for my good. I renounce every lie that says that You are against me and not for me. Jesus demonstrated Your love for me and has convinced me of Your unfailing acceptance and affection. I thank You that I will be forever Your child. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen…

May 26th 2025 – The Perils of Being a Lukewarm Christian

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16)

Being a lukewarm Christian is a state of spiritual complacency, where one acknowledges faith but lacks the fervor and commitment that true discipleship demands. The church in Laodicea, addressed in Revelation, serves as a cautionary tale. They believed they were rich and needed nothing, yet they were spiritually blind and poor. This lukewarmness can manifest in various ways: attending church without engaging, knowing scripture without applying it, or living a life that reflects the world’s values rather than God’s.

Signs of Lukewarmness:

  1. Complacency in Faith: A lack of desire for spiritual growth or deeper relationship with God.
  2. Indifference to Sin: Justifying behaviors that contradict biblical teachings.
  3. Minimal Engagement: Attending service out of obligation rather than a desire to worship and learn.
  4. Serving Self over Others: Prioritizing personal comfort and convenience over serving others and spreading love.

Changing from Lukewarm to Fervent:

  1. Self-Examination: Take time for honest reflection. Ask God to reveal areas where you may be lukewarm. Pray Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”
  2. Revive Your Prayer Life: Make prayer a priority. Set aside specific times to talk to God, seeking His guidance and expressing your heart. A vibrant prayer life stirs passion and intimacy with God.
  3. Engage with Scripture: Dive deep into God’s Word. Don’t just read it—meditate on it, memorize it, and apply it to your life. Let it challenge and transform you.
  4. Get Involved in Community: Surround yourself with other believers who can encourage and challenge you in your walk of faith. Engage in small groups, service projects, or church activities that push you out of your comfort zone.
  5. Serve Others: Find ways to serve your community and church. Serving shifts the focus from self to others, igniting a passion for Christ’s mission.
  6. Seek Accountability: Share your struggles with a trusted friend or mentor who can hold you accountable and encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith journey.

“Strive to be a passionate follower of Christ, embracing the fullness of His love and truth. Let us not settle for lukewarm living but pursue a vibrant faith that impacts our lives and the lives of those around us.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging the areas in my life where I have grown lukewarm. Ignite a fire within me, Lord, that I may seek You with all my heart, mind, and soul. Help me to be passionate about my faith, to serve others with love, and to grow in my relationship with You. May I become a vessel for Your purposes, reflecting Your light in a world that desperately needs it. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

May 25th 2025 – Living Words

Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You alone have the words that give eternal life.” (John 6:68)

Words hold incredible power. They can be lengthy and complex, or they can be simple and profound. Some lift our spirits, while others may bring us down. Remarkably, we often find the most uplifting words from the most unexpected sources. The Lord has a way of using anyone, at any moment, to reach our hearts, no matter where we find ourselves.

It’s truly remarkable that the source of these transformative words is the Holy Word that grants eternal life—Jesus Himself. Throughout history, many wise individuals have offered insightful thoughts, but none have spoken with the authority and depth of understanding that Jesus brings. He alone reveals the path to eternal life, which is why we gather here, eager to absorb His teachings. Like Peter, we affirm that You alone possess the words that give eternal life. Your words are alive!

“We should immerse ourselves in the words of Jesus every day.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of eternal life found in Your words. They are indeed the only words that truly sustain and nourish us. Open my ears to hear Your guidance and give me feet that swiftly follow Your path. Help me navigate around any obstacles that may hinder my relationship with You. Grant me clarity to discern between tolerance and conviction. Guard me against compromise and empower me to choose the narrow path. Search my heart and lead me in Your everlasting way. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
