March 23rd 2018 – Holy Spirit Anointed Prayers (Part 3 of 3)

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:9-17)

This is another Holy Spirit prayer that can be prayed for yourself or someone else.

Again, we see that the Apostle Paul is praying that they might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  God wants us to know His will.  His will is His Word. When we take time to read the Word of God, the Bible, and to read good books by strong men and women of God, we get an understanding of the mind of God.

Then, as we pray prayers like this, it opens us up to receive from the Word that we’ve read.  There are some times when I read the Word and don’t get much out of it.  Then there are times that I read the Bible and I say, “Wow! Was that always in there?”  Sometimes this happens as I listen to teachings from men and women of God.

God has set people in the church to help us learn and to help us get an understanding of the Word. However, we cannot just lean on them.  We have to take time to read the Word for ourselves as well, and ask Him to give us the understanding that we need.

So today, start praying these Holy Spirit prayers that we looked at the last three days, over yourself and others, and see what happens.  See yourself coming into a new place in God.  See yourself seeing things from the Word that you never saw before.  Remember, it all starts with a prayer and the Holy Spirit has placed these powerful prayers in the scriptures for you and for me.

Prayer:

Today, I pray this Holy Spirit anointed prayer for _______________.

Heavenly Father, thank you for opening their eyes as I pray this prayer.  Thank you that they will see what is available to them in the kingdom of God. Thank you for being so incredibly passionate about us Lord. Thank you for not only your continous pursuit of me but also of ___________. I acknowledge that You, and only You are my one true God. I will never forget your sacrifice on the cross,  it is why I get to live this life I have today. I submit my life to You.  In Your precious name,  Amen.

March 22nd 2018 – Holy Spirit Anointed Prayers (Part 2 of 3)

“Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  (Ephesians 3:14-21)

Here is the second of these Holy Spirit inspired prayers that the Apostle Paul gave us.  This is again one that we can pray for ourselves and for others.  As we pray this prayer, watch and see the Holy Spirit do a work within us and others.

In this prayer Paul is praying for a strengthening with God’s might in our spirit.  I don’t know about you but when my spirit is strong my entire being is full of strength. Paul continues on to ask that Christ might dwell in our hearts by faith and that we would get a full comprehension of the love of Christ, that we would understand the very depth of it, that we would understand how high it is and how deep it is.

If we, or anyone, would ever get a full understanding of the love and grace of God it would make a total and radical change within us. There is so much more in this prayer. These are just a couple thoughts but go ahead and pray this prayer each day for yourself and others.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Today, I pray for _______________, and pray this Holy Spirit anointed prayer over them. Father, thank You for opening their eyes as I pray this prayer, that they will see what is available to them in the kingdom of God. I also ask that we would stay obedient in praying for their salvation. Lord God please open us up to sharing Your word, and how You rescued us from bondage of this world. I thank You and praise you for all that you do in my life Lord. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

March 21st 2018 – Our Holy Helper

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

Sometimes I start projects with great enthusiasm, only to lose interest and move on to something else. I’m thankful God never does that with us. He always completes what He starts. In (Hebrews 12:2) we are told we should be “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” God finishes what He begins.

But sometimes the Devil whispers into a believer’s ear, “Your Not Good Enough” or “God won’t help you” or something like this “You’re not even going to make it as a Christian. You’re going to crash and burn.” Thats all a big lie. The Bible says that Jesus accepts everyone that repents, asks for forgiveness and will trust in Him with faith” also “That with the Holy Spirit will help you to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. We are told in (Philippians 1:6), “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Storms will come into every life, into the lives of both believers and nonbelievers. The rain will fall and the winds will blow. But it is only the child of God who can lay hold of (Romans 8:28), which says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Nonbelievers can quote that verse if they’d like, but it has no relevance to them whatsoever. Only Christians can lay hold of that promise.

Storms come and storms go. For some, life itself is one long storm. They may be facing very difficult circumstances. It could be a disability. It could be some tragedy that has befallen them and has altered their very existence.

There is hope, because no matter what you are going through right now, storms don’t last forever. God is in control. You will get to the other side.

“No matter what you are going through God will help you through it.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, It gets so hard trying to face the storms of life on our own especially when we feel weak. I need Your power and strength to face each one. Please continue to help and teach me to turn to You first. Help me learn to patiently endure the suffering and the hard times and honor You in the midst of them as I walk by faith. I lift up all of my troubles and faithfully trust in You Lord that you will guide us through the storms and calm the raging seas of our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 20th 2018 – Holy Spirit Anointed Prayers (Part 1 of 3)

“For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. (Ephesians 1:15-23)

Throughout the epistles that the Apostle Paul wrote, we see some of his Holy Spirit inspired prayers. These prayers are full of the power of God and can be prayed for ourselves or for others.  We see in Ephesians 1:15-23, a powerful prayer to help us and others have open eyes to the things of the Spirit.

Paul is praying that God would give us or whoever we’re praying for, a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.  So many times people’s eyes are closed by demonic influences and it takes real prayer to break these hindrances.  As we pray this prayer over people, we’re asking the Holy Spirit to open their eyes to the things of God.

Do you know someone who seems to be so closed to the things of God?  Pray this prayer over them as often as you can.  Thank God for opening their eyes so their understanding will be enlightened and that they might understand their place in the kingdom of God.  There is no power stronger then the Word of God and these prayers that we’re going to look at in the next few days have the breath of the Spirit upon them. Use them and see what God is going to do.

Prayer:

I pray for ____________and I am going to pray this Holy Spirit anointed prayer over them.

Heavenly Father, thank you for opening their eyes as I pray this prayer, that they will see what is available to them in the kingdom of God. I pray that you enlighten their heart and that Your Holy Spirit surrounds them and engulfs their very soul. Lord God I also ask that we would stay obedient in praying for their salvation. Lord God please open us up to sharing Your word, and how You rescued us from bondage of this world. We pray this prayer in Jesus’ Holy name. Amen.

March 19th 2018 – God’s Perfect Timing

“Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain. But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.” (Romans 15:28-29)

God is a blessing God. He desires to grant favor to His children. At the same time, we have our own free will, which God will not violate. Sometimes, we cheat God of the ability to bless us when we selfishly and stubbornly force our own way. The Lord’s clock does not abide by our calendar. As much as we want things to run according to our own design, God’s blueprint is much better. There is an order to things that God has established. He created all the gears, cogs and wheels of life that we do not understand.

Paul had desired to go to Rome but he knew that his trip would be much more profitable in the Lord’s timing. He had learned to wait on God’s timing and not force it on his own. Sometimes, we have to wait on God. Sometimes, we may know what God has called us to do, yet we know it is not yet time. When we wait on the Lord to say when the time is right, we can know it is going to be an incredible ride! It might not be easy, but it will be good. If it is easy, be careful. Satan will do everything he can to oppose God’s plans, and if you are not facing opposition, you may want to pray to see if you are indeed walking in God’s timing.

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)

“Be careful about rushing God’s timing…. you never know who or what God is protecting you or saving you from.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we love and praise you Thank you for the love, grace and mercy that You extend to me day in and day out. Thank You for Your goodness; for Your kindness. Thank You for the incredible plans You have for my life. Please lead me into and through them in Your timing and not in my own. In Jesus  name, Amen.

March 18th 2018 – What Do You Seek?

Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” (John 1:38)

That’s the question we need to have answered in our lives isn’t it? “What do you seek?” Is it a better marriage, a promotion at work, more money, more notoriety or to see your kids walking with the Lord? Are we seeking the Lord’s hand of blessing more than we are seeking the Lord Himself?

They once asked Jesus where he was staying. He told them to come and see. Where is the Lord in our lives? The Lord is saying to come and hang with Him. We ask where. The cross!

(Luke 9:23-24) Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.”

When we come to Jesus, not for His hand of blessing but for His will to be done in our lives. When we are willing to lay down our life for His sake, then He begins showing us things greater than we could possibly imagine. Later in this chapter, Jesus sees Nathaniel having devotions under the tree…

(John 1:50) Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

Please prioritize the Lord in your devotional life. Jesus is taking note. He then tells us “You will see greater things than these.” When we lay our life down for His sake, we find that all we ever needed was Jesus.

“You don’t know that Jesus is all you need Jesus is all you have.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please help me continue to seek You because I want to know You not just what You can give me. Please forgive me when I fail in this. Give me the power of Your Spirit to set my devotion upon You and Your will for me. I thank You Lord because I can trust You’ll do even greater things with my life as I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Do you want to experience the kind of Peace and Love that is only found in Jesus? Jesus died on the cross for you. He loves you and wants to help you. He wants to bring peace in your life. March 17th 2018 – Help Is Only a Call Away

“and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Psalm 50:15)

When we go through major disappointments in life, our natural reaction is to pull back and isolate ourselves. We want to handle it ourselves. We want to keep our losses, our failures, our mistakes or  crises a secret. We want to withdraw. It’s is a terrible idea to walk it alone.

When you go through disappointment, crisis or loss. Those are the times when you need to call on God and your friends the most. You need to accept help from others. God doesn’t intend for you to handle all the pain and stress in your life by yourself. We were wired for each other. We need each other. We’re social beings. The first thing God said in the Garden of Eden is, “It’s not good for man (speaking about His creation of humankind) to be alone.” We’re made to be in relationships.

(Job 6:14) “When desperate people give up on God Almighty, their friends, at least, should stick with them”

There will be times in your life when you are in so much pain you will say, “I don’t even believe in God right now!” You need to have friends who will come alongside you and say, “That’s OK. We’ll believe God for you right now.”

There will come a time when you’ll say, “I don’t have any faith right now. I’m full of doubt.” That’s when you need your friends to step in and say, “That’s OK. We will have faith for you. We will trust God for you in this.”

“By helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). What is the law of Christ? It’s this: Love your neighbor as yourself. The Bible commands us to help each other. Every time you help somebody who’s going through pain, you are fulfilling the law of Christ.

Trying to handle your trouble yourself will only make you more tired and stressed out.

So don’t run away and hide or ingnore your friends and the ones that love you. You need to accept the help of others and let your friends carry you through it.

Our Lord Jesus is only a call away, And He already knows the trouble your having. He is already calling out to you. Answer His call,

“Give Jesus a try….if you don’t like Him, the enemy will always take you back!”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Help me trust You in all circumstances in my life. Increase my faith. Help me remember that I am your child and that you love me. Thank You for the people in my life that care about me and are there when I need a friend. I also know that all things are possible in my life, If I would trust in You without doubt, and trust in Your Word.  You said it is true, so I trust, and I believe, and as I do, I will see the results! Thank you for Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen…

March 16th 2018 – God’s Word Revives

“Therefore, I will always remind you about these things–even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught.” (2 Peter 1:12)

I find it completly amazing how the Word of God can revitalize our hearts. You can be going into a dive of doubt and fear when someone will comw along and quote a scripture verse that suddenly pulls you out of your discouragement. No matter how long you have been a Christian, you need to be reminded of spiritual truths.

That is why Peter wrote, “Therefore, I will always remind you about these things–even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught. And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live” (2 Peter 1:12–13).

When we lose sight of God’s spiritual truths, the His living word of the bible corrects us. It revives us. “The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul.” (Psalm 19:7)

There were two discouraged disciples on the Emmaus Road, they had recently lost all hope after Jesus was crucified. They didn’t realize that He had risen. Then Jesus began walking with them, but they didn’t recognize Him. He began to open the Word of God to them and pointed them to all of the Scriptures that alluded to His death and sacrifice. Afterward they said, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32).

God’s living word revives us. It brings us back to life again. If you are not interested in being revived, if you have no interest in being transformed, if you don’t want to grow spiritually, and if you don’t want direction or purpose in life, then don’t read the Bible.

But if you wish that your life had focus and purpose and direction, then start reading it. The living word of God revives us.

“The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy.” (Psalm 19-7)

“God’s word is perfect and will revive your soul.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for Your written word, a word that is alive and revives us! Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit. I pray that as of this day forward, I never forget the truths, promises and healing that we receive as Your children from reading Your living word. I pray that Your word and the Holy Spirit be so visibly apparent in our lives that we radiate that we are Your children. May we never forget that we posses Your very DNA in our blood, because you created us and breathed life into us. We are made in your Image, that we can do all things through You. May we start each day Claiming Victory over the strongholds in our lives, Claiming Victory over the very enemy that tries to opress us and to distort the truth. Today and everyday forward I will never forget that I am a Child of the ONE TRUE GOD! In JESUS name, AMEN!

Seeking Jesus in your life?

Jesus Christ says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20)

The Bible promises eternal life to all who receive Christ: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13)

If you have not asked Jesus into your life you can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith through prayer.

Prayer is just talking with God. He knows your heart, so don’t worry about getting your words just right. Here is a suggested prayer to guide you:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If you have done this, then congratulations! (Luke 15:7) says that when one sinner accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Saviour the angels rejoice. So there’s a party going on in heaven right now over your decision! Remember this date as your “second birthday,” the day you were born into a new life in Christ! You have God’s Word that he answered your prayer.

Please take a moment to contact me, I would love to pray with you personally for this wonderful new journey you are on. roblavallee@gmail.com to

March 15th 2018 – Thoughts Of…..

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)

It is significant that when our Lord describes the stream of iniquity as it flows out of the heart He begins with the thoughts. “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies”  (Matthew 15:19)

It is doubtful whether any sin is ever committed until it first incubates in the thoughts long enough to stir the feelings and predispose the will toward it favorably. Even the sudden flash of anger, which of all sins would appear on the surface to have the lowest mental content, is anything but a sudden eruption of the emotions. The quick-tempered man is one who habitually broods over wrongs and insults and then conditions himself for the sudden fit of temper that seems to have no mental origin.

The short-tempered person is given to fits of rage. Long-temperedness (patience) is part of the fruit of the Spirit as is gentleness and self-control. That fruit is produced in us as we walk by under the Holy Spirits control. The heart that has had the benefit of broad, sane thinking on moral questions, especially long meditation upon mans sin, Gods mercy and the goodness of Christ in dying for His enemies, is not conditioned to blow up when occasion arises. The worst reaction to an affront or an injustice will be annoyance or mild irritation, never a burst of sinful anger.

“Daily mediation with the Holy Spirit, communion with the Lord and reading your Bible will make a world of difference in your life”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to relate to other people as You do to me, with great patience, grace and gentleness. Lord God, also help me take charge over my thoughts when they are starting to drift. To overcome them, which destroy the nature of You in me. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 14th 2018 – Waiting on Prayers Answered

He said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.” (Daniel 10:12)

There is an interesting story in the book of Daniel offers us a unique, behind-the scenes look at what happens when we pray. The Bible tells us that Daniel was praying and that his prayer reached Heaven. God heard Daniel’s prayer and sent an angel with a special message for Daniel. But the angel who was sent from Heaven was held up for twenty one days because he was engaged in spiritual warfare with a powerful demon spirit. As a result, God then sent the archangel. Michael (You might say that Michael is like the “Big Kahuna” among angels.) Michael was sent, who obviously delt with the demon swiftly, and the answer was brought to Daniel. But it took twenty-one days for the answer to get there.

Sometimes when God doesn’t answer our prayers as quickly as we would like Him to, we think that He is not listening or He letting us down. We need to understand that delays aren’t necessarily denials.

When we pray and don’t see an answer as quickly as we would like, it may be a result of circumstances that we can’t see. There might even be a spiritual battle raging behind the scenes. Maybe you’ve been praying for someone to come to know the Lord. Maybe you’ve been asking God to heal you. Perhaps you’ve been asking the Lord for the blessing of husband or wife. Don’t give up. Don’t be discouraged. Keep praying. Jesus tells us to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, and the door would be opened. So be persistent. And watch what God will do.

The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who continue to seek Him.” (Lamentations 3:25)

No matter how long it takes, when God works, It’s always worth the wait.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for remaining faithful to me. Help me have hope and expectancy as I wait for Your answers to my prayers. And during the extended times when you are waiting for the perfect moment to answer or just waiting on me to be ready, may I contine to give you my praises and wait with a heart of gratitude because your Grace is more then sufficent for me. I thank you for Leading me and Loving me and Blessing me everyday with life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
