October 12th 2019 – God’s Word Is Alive!

“For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” (Hebrews 4:12)

God’s Word is alive. It has God’s very life and ability within it. Just as people are alive, and animals are alive, and plants are alive, so is God’s Word. The difference is that God’s Word has the Creator of all these other things within it. It is full of power to set us free, to heal us, and to deliver us. His Word created the very ground that we’re standing on and the air that we’re breathing. His Word is Himself.

So no matter what comes at us in life, it is His Word that has the power to release us from every situation. God has declared it, therefore it has to happen. You see, God and His Word are one. If God’s Word doesn’t work, then God doesn’t work. But God’s Word does work as we work the Word.

Faith is what activates God’s Word and as we take His Word and get it deep within our hearts and then speak it with our mouth, it will come to pass. God is not a man that He should lie. If He said it, then He meant it. Think of it like this, The Bible has the very DNA of God within its pages. If I were to blow up a balloon, it has my DNA within it, so it is with the Bible, God has breathed Himself right into those pages that we hold in our hand.

So today, make a decision never to look at the Bible as just a book, but to look at it as if it were God the Creator standing right there and saying, “If I wrote it in there, you can have it”. Just believe it and say it with your mouth. Truly our prayer life would never be the same.

“We need to encourage people to feed on God’s Word—it is nourishment for the soul.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for Your Written Word, Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit. I pray that as of this day forward, we never forget the Power (from God) that we posses as Your children. I can only imangine the sound of the mighty wind as you first breathed Your Holy Spirit into the Aspostles, the same Holy Spirit that we, Children of the Living God have in our very bodies right now. I pray that Your Holy Spirit be so visibly apparent in our lives from this day forward, that we radiate that we are Your children. May we never forget that we posses Your very DNA in our blood, because you created us and breathed life into us. We are made in your Image, that we can do all things through You. From this day forward, may we start each day Claiming Victory over the strongholds in our lives, Claiming Victory over the very enemy that tries to opress us and to distort the truth. Today and everyday forward I will never forget that I am a Child of the ONE TRUE GOD! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

October 11th 2019 – A Divine Purpose

“I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must turn from their sins and turn to God–and prove they have changed by the good things they do.” (Acts 26:20)

We often describe our Christian walk by the things we don’t do. We may say things like, we don’t drink or do drugs, we don’t gamble or use foul language. In fact, for some of us, not doing these things is an incredible testimony of God’s supernatural work in our lives. But we should also consider the things that we do.

In (Matthew 22:37-40) Jesus told us that we should love God and love others. You are not an accident; you were created with a divine purpose to be a blessing to others. You were created to hear the call, respond and be fruitful. In short, you were created to help God change the world. We know the things we shouldn’t do because we would be ashamed of them. But why are we not ashamed of the things we don’t do? Jesus called the man who did not use his talent wicked and lazy. If you fail to do something, you choose to fail at God’s plan for your life.

“This is faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” (James 2:17-18)

“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17)

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” (Matthew 5:13)

Please take a moment and reflect. What are you doing to spread Gods love?

“It is what we ‘do’ that shows we are followers of Jesus, as well as what we ‘don’t’ do.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I love You and want to serve You by serving others. Please give me eyes to see where and how I may be a blessing to others. Give me love for those around me. Please forgive me for times when I’ve done nothing. Please forgive me for not always being a good witness to Your presence in my life. Help me be the Salt and the light! I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 10th 2019 – Jesus Friend of Sinners

“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and ‘sinners.’” (Matthew 11:19)

I met an individual last year was struggling with a serious illness. When I asked her if she knew Jesus, she said “I’m not ready to give my life to Jesus,”

“Have you told Jesus that?” I asked. Judging from the stymied look on her face, the idea of praying was the farthest thing from her mind. “Why don’t you take time right now to tell Jesus? Whatever is on your heart, you can tell Him.” The elderly lady gave a smile when I reached for her hand and then bowed her head with mine saying, “Lord, I…uh…they tell me I should give my life to you…and although I can’t, that is, I guess I won’t, I really do…I really want to believe. Please…help me.”

“You’re well on your way to believing in Christ,” I said after she finished praying. How could I be so sure? Because she had opened up her heart to encounter the Lord Jesus. When someone engages God in prayer, they can never be quite the same. That lady’s prayer, though feeble and faltering, meant the Savior, in turn, had a handhold on her. With my encouragement and prayers, it wasn’t long before she accepted Jesus and was welcomed into God’s family

The good news sounds great to those who see Jesus befriending them. In the gospels, the Lord Jesus is constantly presented as a friend of sinners. He moved among people as their friend before He became their Savior.

Who can you befriend on Jesus’ behalf today? Ask God to bring to mind someone who needs Him, and how about you? Do you need a friend today? Ask Jesus to be with you in a way that will be a comfort to you.

“Give Jesus a try….if you don’t like Him, the enemy will always take you back!”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for my friends and loved ones. Thank You for the amazing comfort that I can find in You. Thank you for being there with every step of the way. Thank you for Your friendship and always being right there when I feel lonely and broken. I praise you for not forsaking me in times like these. Because of Your love, I can have peace and forgiveness for all my sins. Because of Jesus, I am free from the penalty of sin and no matter what happens on this earth, I will be healed and loved for all eternity. Father, help me to remember these things and to pass them on to those who are thirsting for Your refreshing comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If you have prayed this prayer, Congratulations! (Luke 15:7) says that when one sinner accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Saviour the angels rejoice. So there’s a party going on in heaven right now over your decision! Remember this date as your “second birthday,” the day you were born into a new life in Christ! You have God’s Word that he answered your prayer.

October 9th 2019 – Turning Aside Pride

“A man’s pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.” (Proverbs 29:23)

Have you heard the biblical story of the Good Samaritan? In that story he, unlike others who had an opportunity to help, he demonstrated compassion for a man who had become the victim of a vicious attack by robbers. The Good Samaritan bandaged up the man’s wounds, brought him to an inn, and took care of him (see Luke 10:30-35). But what about the man he helped? What if this man, who had been left for dead, refused the help of the Good Samaritan because of pride? Where might his pride have left him? Alone? Dying on the side of the road? Wouldn’t he have missed out on his blessing from God?

We all experience hard times. They’re a part of life. And when those times come and we’re hurting, there are people who will come alongside us, to help in any way possible to ease the pain or just give good advice. It is God at work through the kindness and generosity of others—like the Good Samaritan. “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father” (James 1:17).

Still we often have these thoughts. “But I don’t want people to think I’m poor! I had a job before all of this!” Or, “I don’t want people feeling sorry for me!”

Eventhough this kind of pride is natural, however it biblically is wrong. “… For God gives special blessings to those who are humble, but sets himself against those who are proud” (1 Peter 5:5)

Don’t allow pride to keep you from accepting kindness from others, graciously, and with a thankful heart. That’s what the Christian community is really all about—helping, encouraging, and building up one another. So turn aside pride today! “Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you” (James 4:10)

Take back your life

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” In what ways have people encouraged you, or built you up during this difficult time?
If you have received help from others with a bitter heart because of a pride, ask God’s forgiveness. Then ask Him to give you a humble heart, and an attitude of gratitude for the wonderful ways in which He has met your needs through the generosity of others.
Make a special effort today to tell someone “Thank you,” when they share God’s gift of kindness and goodwill with you. You can say it to the volunteer serving your next meal, to one of the workers in the shelter where you’re staying, to the people who have come to bring food, clothing, or other supplies, to the person who has come to express their condolences, or to the family who has opened their home to you. It’s a great way to bless them as they seek to bless you.

“If your pride is bigger than your heart and your ego is bigger then your head, grow up or you will end up alone.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, far too often we are influenced by what others think of us. We are always pretending to be either richer or smarter or nicer than we really are. Please prevent us from trying to attract attention. Don’t let us gloat over praise on one hand or be discouraged by criticism on the other. Nor let us waste time weaving imaginary situations in which the most heroic, charming, witty person present is ourselves. Show us how to be humble of heart, like you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Paul and Barnabas also remained in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also” (Acts 15:35)

A lot of effort is put forth so that people can know God. I agree wholeheartedly that we should introduce people to God. Everyone has a need to have a relationship with Him. When someone makes a decision to accept Jesus, they have made the greatest decision they will ever make. The work of salvation is then complete, but there is still much to do. You see, once someone gets to know the God of the Word, they need to get to know the Word of God. We place great importance and emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God. here at Scriptural Seeds Miniatries. It is our joy and honor to walk you through the Word to The Word of God will help equip you to deal with life. I look forward to our walk together, and I am sure we will both learn many things. Take the time to read because he took the time to bleed. Get to know your Bible.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the Bible. I realize many men and women have died that I might have a copy of it in my life. It truly is a treasure and a light to my path. Please help me to read it, dig into it, and spend my days going through the incredible riches of this supernatural book. Thank You God for writing Your love letter straight to me called the Bible. October 7th 2019 – Eternal Security

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10:28)

There is a movement in Christianity that teaches and beleives that we as children of God, can loose our salvation if we should back slide or turns back to our old sinful habbits.

The Christian should never think or speak lightly of unbelief of what God Promises. For a child of God to mistrust the Father’s love, truth, and faithfulness, must be terribly displeasing to God. How we must grieve Him by doubting His upholding grace? It is contrary to every promise of God’s precious Word that you should even think that you will ever be forgotten or left to perish! If that could possibly happen, how could He be true at all? He Himself has said, “Can a woman forget to have compassion on her nursing child? Even if she forgets, still I will never forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15)

What is the value of His promise that, ”Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you (Isaiah 54:10)

Where is the truth of Christ’s words, “I give eternal life to My sheep, and they will never die; and no man will pluck them out of My hand… or out of My Father’s hand?”

Where would the doctrines of grace be? They would be all disproved if one child of God would be lost. Where would the veracity of God be– His honor, His power, His grace, His covenant, His oath– if any of those for whom Christ has died and who have put their trust in Him should ever be cast away?

Tell those unbelieving fears to go! And put on your beautiful garments. Remember it is sinful to doubt His Word, since He has promised that you will never die. Let the eternal life within you express itself in confident rejoicing.

“God promises that we will be Safe and Secure in His presence. We will in fact have an Eternal Security if we are a born again believer of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for walking with me and giving me peace. I surrender each day to you, and ask that you will use me to help others get to know you. Please continue to mold me into the person you have destined me to become. Thank you for for the love you have personally shown me. Thank you for the Faith you give me each day. I pray that the Holy Spirit will immediately reveil the false teachings within the church, may the leaders be corrected with love who misinterpreted your word. May thier congregation experience healing and not fall away. We love you Lord! I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 6th 2019 – Life Isn’t Always A Walk In The Park

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” (Romans 8:28-30)

We must not forget, in our pursuit of Christ, that our days will not always be a Walk in the Park. There will be difficult days, troubling times, and storms. Please don’t be fooled by thinking, just because you have been called by God, that life won’t include these times. In these times, we are set apart by one thing, “Hope”.

Maybe today, you are experiencing grief from a loved one passing, or difficulties with your spouse or children. We wake up sometimes to trouble at work, financial problems, and other trying times. One thing we need to remember is what Paul said, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

Today, make the decision when troubles come, To Praise God. When difficulties arise, To Praise God. When you are in the valley and the trees are too tall to even see the bottom of the mountain top, To Praise God. He is working out something for that eternal weight of glory.

“Don’t being fooled into thinking life is always going to a walk in the park, give God praise in the sunshine and the rain.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Today, I want to give You praise within my storm. I know my feelings get in the way of my faith, so I am asking for Your strength and wisdom to trust You during these times. Help me to learn from You, so I can help others when their storm is rising. I thank You for working out the good and difficult for Your eternal glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 5th 2019 – Bad Weather

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

People think that when you are in the will of God, you will always have “smooth sailing.” That is certainly not true of Paul. He seemed to face every kind of adversity imaginable. He had enemies who tried to undermine and even destroy him out of jealousy.

The Apostle Paul delt with storms

Toward the end of the Book of Acts, Paul was making his final journey to Rome because he had appealed to Caesar. As they journeyed, a horrific storm overtook them and everyone despaired for their lives.

Luke describes it this way: “When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved” (Acts 27:20)

The Lord came to Paul

But the Lord sent His angel to speak to Paul, giving the apostle the ability to encourage the others on board:

But take courage! None of you will lose your lives, even though the ship will go down. For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me, and he said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God in his goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.’ So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said.” (Acts 27:22-25)

Will there ever be smooth sailing?

That is not to say we will not have beautiful moments, and even seasons of relative calmness. Not all the winds that blow in life are devastating. In one instance, the log of the journey before the big storm hit says, “The south wind blew softly” (Acts 27:13)

Thank God for those times when the “South wind blows softly.” Those times when you can feel the warmth of the sun on your shoulders and all is well.

God never abandons us

The Apostle Paul had numerable setbacks in life that included beatings and physical harm. He also had a personal physical disability he prayed to be healed of that never left.

Still, he was able to say, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

That is one of the reasons the storms and trials come. To make us stronger spiritually. Because in a storm, a trial, or a hardship, you will learn things you could really learn nowhere else.

The Fact is, storms will come in life. It’s not a matter of if but when. Were either pulling out of one or eventually headed toward another.

“Better to be in a storm with Jesus then anywhere else without Him.”

“Fruit does not grow on mountaintops, but in valleys.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, It gets so hard trying to face the storms of life on our own especially when we feel weak. I need Your power and strength to face each one. Please continue to help and teach me to turn to You first. Help me learn to patiently endure the suffering and the hard times and honor You in the midst of them. I lift up all of my troubles and faithfully trust in You Lord that you will guide me. Please send others to help me through these tough times. I ask for Your peace to comfort me. I ask, Father, for Your power to strengthen me. When I want to run because I am afraid or hurt, I ask that You help me to stand. I know that You will guide me to grow through these things. Lord, I know You will be there to help me through every storm of life and even in the final storm of death, I wi praise You for Your peace and for Your promise of heaven. Help me to keep my mind focused on eternity so that I will not lose hope here on earth. Fill me with Your Spirit and use my life to share God’s peace with the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trying to face a storm without Jesus will get very overwhelming, you may even feel all alone. He is waiting for you, ask for His help. If you do not know Him personally, I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. October 4th 2019 – God Still Heals

“to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,” (1 Corinthians 12:9)

What do you think about when you hear the words “healing” or “miracle”? Depending on how you grew up, these words may spark memories. Some of us may remember the charismatic preachers on television or even roadside tent revivals. Even though they may have involved miraculous signs and wonders, others may simply reject the notion that miracles even occur today.

Regardless of what we have seen or heard, we must always remember to ask the question, “What does the bible say?” You see, what we believe is not dependent on our opinion or upbringing, but fully relies on what God has revealed to us through His Word.

As we look into the glorious and perfect Word of the Lord, we see that He has given us His Spirit to help spread the Gospel and minister to one another. In 1 Corinthians 12, we see that Paul clearly states that the Holy Spirit can empower us with the gift of healings and miracles. While these can refer to many things, we must understand that we have the chance to be part of one of the greatest healings of all time.

What could that be you ask? Simply put, it’s the dead coming to life. When we share with others the Gospel and they respond, they go from death to life, from condemnation to forgiveness, from being a child of the adversary to a child of the living God. Maybe you’ve never experienced that supernatural healing. God desires to forgive your sins and make you new. All you have to do is come to Him. Are you ready for healing?

“Don’t ever forget that God still heals. He heals us spiritually, physically and emotionally”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I know that I have done wrong in my life and I ask that You forgive me. Lord, I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that He rose again. I come to You today and ask that You would create in me a clean heart and make me new. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to walk with You every day of my life. I love You Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

October 3rd 2019 – Love God, Love Others

“A new command I give to you, love one another, as I have loved you, so you you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Christians can really be mean to each other. We are quick to point out faults. We gossip and envy one another. It is not a pretty picture, yet Jesus says when we love each other, the world will know that we belong to Him.

So, how do we fix this? I professor of mine taught on these two verses, he said, “Look. This is a new commandment. This is not just an idea of Christians loving each other just like Christ loved us. This is a commandment. It’s not a suggestion. We are to love one another.”

If you have you given your life to Christ, you realized at some point that your life was on the wrong path. And you turned and said, “Jesus is the right path.”You agreed to Him being the boss. So you said, “Thank you for saving me, but also thank You for being in charge of me now. I submit to Your commands.” So we are commanded, it’s not optional, that we as Christians love each other. He died for us, and He forgives us unconditionally. And He gives us chance after chance, and grace after grace. Then we mess up again and what does He do? He comes and holds us close to Him. Why can’t we love each other like that and say, “You know what? I know that you’re a mess, so am I” and then show them we love them as Jesus showed us?

Jesus is so concerned about us being right with each other that He said, “It’s better for you to stop worshiping and ask forgiveness than it is just to keep worshiping and doing your church thing.” Is there somebody you need to forgive? Somebody you struggle to love? Get it right, so folks outside the church can say, “Those people really love each other. I guess that’s what it means to be a Christian.”

“Be so busy loving God and loving others that you have no time for regret, worry, fear or drama.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Teach me to love, Lord, as You love, Make it unconditional, honest, and kind, To ask nothing back in return, Lord, To encompass the whole of mankind. May I offer my love without speaking, May it radiate as it shines forth from me, May it be seen in my face and my eyes, Lord, May it be simple, sincere, and shame free. Show me how to forgive, Lord, as You do, To not burden another with guilt, To not play the role of the martyr, To be a rock on which trust may be built. Make my love for others be greater by far Than any love that is offered to me, Led by the Spirit, Inspired of God, As forgiving as Jesus…and free. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
