September 21st 2015 – Friendship with God

images-183

“Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence Him. With them alone He shares the secrets of His promises.” (Psalms 25:14)

As children we used to run around and say, “I know a secret, I know a secret!”  Well God has special things that He holds for special people. Our Father wants to reveal them to those whose hearts are right with Him. You see a secret is shared with close friends.  I don’t go and share my inner thoughts with just anybody, No, I share them with true friends. And you know what? Those that have a respect and love for the Father.  Those that give Him that special place in their hearts are friends of God and He shares His inner thoughts with them.

Jesus said that He doesn’t call us servants anymore, but He calls us friends.  So as a friend of God are we taking time each day to listen to His voice as He reveals His mysteries to us?  God’s secrets are revealed to those who reverence Him.  They are revealed to those who love and respect Him.  To those whose hearts are for Him. God is not holding back from us, but He is looking for those who will take what He says to heart and use it to bless others.  He has a treasure of wisdom for us and He wants to pour it out to us.

So today take time to tell your Heavenly Father how much you love Him and how special He is to you and then watch and see how many things are revealed to you.  Take a few minutes even now and express your love to the One who loves you with such an intense love that He would send His one and only Son, to wash away all of your sins.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me and calling me your friend. Thank you for all of the times we cried together and laughed together. I and so greatful for you presence in my life.  Please help me be a better friend to not only you but to others. May they always see you in me… I love you Lord.. in Your precious name Amen.

September 20th 2015 – Your Gift to Me

images-178

For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

What a verse, short and sweet.  So many want to make salvation so complicated, yet this verse puts it out there so simply.  Call on Jesus and you shall be saved. God doesn’t want us jumping through hoops, He wants us enjoying the fullness of life that He has provided to everyone that believes on Jesus.

You see, salvation is a gift, and like any gift if we refuse to receive it, we will not enjoy it.  But if we receive it, then we can open the package and enjoy all the benefits of it.  And what amazing benefits there are in Jesus.  Salvation means more than going to heaven when we die.  Thank God for that, and we will rejoice for all eternity in this.  But if you’re like me, we’re still living in the here and now and I need help now to live every day.

This word “salvation” is from the Greek word “sozo” and it means to save, deliver or protect, to heal, preserve, to do well, to be make whole.  So we see that God has a lot more in store for us.  He cares about us, spiritually, mentally and physically.  Our Father made sure that at the cross, Jesus would suffer for each part of our lives.  His thorns were for our peace, the stripes on His back were for our physical healing and His death and resurrection was for our eternal life. God is so good.

So today, when you hear the word salvation or when you say, thank God that I am saved, take it a little further  and say, thank God that I am saved and I going to heaven when I die or the trumpet sounds, and thank God that I am healed, I am delivered, I have God’s peace in my life.  Jesus bore all the bad for me so I could have all the good.

Today, I declare that I am healed, that I am set free from every addiction that would come against me.  I declare that I have God’s peace in my life and that all that the enemy has stolen from me, God has restored. Today, I am saved because of the blood of Jesus, my Lord and Savior.  Today, I will accept God’s gift of Salvation because without it the enemy will certainly destroy me, destroy my marriage, destroy my relationship with my children and loved ones…

Prayer.

Thank you, Jesus, for Your priceless gift of salvation to me.  Thank You for patiently waiting for all of us to accept this gift.  The price You paid is more than this world could ever equal.  I thank You for opening my heart to Your goodness, Your kindness and the love You have for me.  Even now, You stand waiting for those of us who do not realize what You hold in Your Hands is the ticket to eternal paradise.   Many are blind to Your Presence and only see this empty world. Sadly, they turn away.  Help me to help them see the priceless pearl You hold out in Your Precious Hands.  When I doubt, help me to be strong, when I am scared and worried, send me Your Holy Spirit to lift me up. When I am weak, restore to me vigilence in the uncertain times of this life. I will hold on and neven away from Your goodness for I know You will carry me through to victory one day. I pray this in Your precious name, Amen..

It was the most inportant decision I ever made. I can’t imangine how my life would be If I had not.

September 19th 2015 – IN THE BEGINNING!

2015-09-19-04-30-56-999197751

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

What an amazing statement.  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  It doesn’t say I hope God did.  It sure doesn’t show God trying to prove that He did.  It just says, He did it.  One thing is sure, and that is, that God is sure of Himself.  We need to just believe it His way, and everything works out.

When you think about what this verse has in it, that God, with His Word created everything that we can see, and the things that we cannot see. He made the stars, the planets, the moons that circle the planets.  He made every living thing, from human to animals to angelic.  He made it all.

God, our heavenly Father is truly amazing, and one day we will share in this wonder of His.  It says in 1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Now that should get your hope and expectation going.  God has given us little glimpses of heaven and the new earth, things like streets of gold, no pain or sickness, the lion laying with the lamb.  One day it will all happen and we will live before Him and with Him.  One day we will see our Jesus.

I don’t know about you, but I want to be able to hear Him say, “Well done you good and faithful one”.  Yeah, that’s going to be heaven right there.  So go ahead, look at all God has created because He created it for you and for me.

My Heavenly Father, You made all of this world for us to live in and enjoy.  You gave us dominion to live a life of abundant blessing. Today, I choose that life over the life of sin and death. I thank you for saving me from destruction and death and restoring my life that i would have a new beginning. I love you Lord. Amen.

looking for a new beginning? Click Here! Ask Jesus into you life. You will have a new beginning. It was the greatest decision I ever made. Before Jesus rescued me I was broken and literally dying.  I invite you to keep coming back and seeking the Jesus. It will change your life.

September 18th 2015 – When I am in the Valley

images-131

“though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23::4)

We see in all of these verses so far that the Shepherd leads, guides, helps, and loves us.  Now, in this verse, it changes from the Shepherd’s actions and love for us, to our own actions.  You see, in life there are going to be times when we don’t listen so that we get ourselves in places we shouldn’t be.  Here it’s called “the valley of the shadow of death”.

Have you ever had times like that?  You find that the grass isn’t green and the stream is dirty and you say, “how did I get here?”  You see that it was through your own decisions, or you didn’t take the time to listen to the Shepherd’s voice, that you opened doors that should have stayed shut.

Even in these times, even when we mess up, the Great Shepherd doesn’t leave us.  No! He promised us that He would never leave us or forsake us.  Never means never and here we see the same promise.  I will fear no evil, why?   FOR YOU ARE WITH ME!  What a promise.  When we mess up, we need to ‘fess up and He, the Great Shepherd, forgives and restores.

Even when we open doors to the evil one, our Shepherd takes out His mighty rod and grabs hold of us with His wonderful staff and brings great comfort to our lives.  What security, what comfort, what hope we have because of our amazing Jesus.

So take heart today that there is no sin too strong that the blood of Jesus can’t wash away.  Rest in His loving arms and hear His heartbeat as you lay your head upon His chest.  Know that He loves you and will always protect you against anything that the enemy might bring against you.  He’ll even protect you when you open a door that you shouldn’t have.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus that has washed me white as snow.  I thank You that no matter what comes against me or even when I’m walking in the valley, You are there to comfort and to restore.  What a God I serve. In Jesus precious name. Amen..

Don’t walk the the valley alone, choose Jesus..

September 17th 2015 – Wait and Go

images-229

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:18-19)

“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (Acts 1:4-5)

Many people tell us that the last words that Jesus spoke to His followers before His ascension was to go but by looking at these two verses, He told them to wait, and then go.  You see Jesus knew how important it was for His followers not to go in their own strength but to go in the power of the Holy Spirit.  He wanted them filled with His Spirit and then to go into all the world and help many come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Too many times we go before we get instructions from headquarters.  We rush out the door and never take time to ask the Holy Spirit if there is anything that we need to watch out for today or if there is someone that He would wants us to speak to.  It says in John 14:26, the Helper, the Holy Spirit will bring things to our attention.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26)

The Holy Spirit wants to be an active part of our lives to help us each and every day.  He wants to warn us when trouble is up ahead.  He wants to give us wisdom in our dealings in life, and so many times we’re just too busy to listen.  You know, sometimes I think that we’re just, TOO BUSY, and we miss out on His direction and leading.

Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would be just like Him and that He would live in us, so let’s take sometime today to listen to what He has to say.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I’m waiting on up ur direction. Help me not to continually rush into things but to just wait and listen for your instructions. I thank you for your Holy Spirit. I praise and love you. Amen.

September 16th 2015 – Who is the Holy Spirit?

2015-09-16-00-14-10-585351309

“However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” (John 16:7)

The Holy Spirit.  We talk about Jesus, we talk about the Father, but we seem to forget the One that Jesus said to wait for, the One that would fill us with the power of God.  We seem to forget to acknowledge Him as part of the Godhead, yet He is as much God as God the Father and our Lord Jesus.  So let’s take a little time and get to know Him.

Jesus, in this verse, tells us that it is expedient that He goes away so that the Holy Spirit would come.  I don’t know about you but I would say, “NO WAY!  I want Jesus”.  I would like to have been with Him like Peter, James and John.  Yet Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit is like Himself and can be at all places at all times.

You see when Jesus walked on this earth He lived in an earthly body like yours and mine, so if He was in Jerusalem, then He wasn’t in Rome.  Yet when we look at the Holy Spirit, He is Omnipresent, He exists everywhere.  There is no place in heaven, on earth, or in the universe that He is not there.  He is Omnipotent, He is all powerful, and He is Omniscient, He knows everything that there is to know.

So today, living inside each and every person that has received Jesus as their own personal Lord and Savior is Almighty God, the Holy Spirit.  Jesus told us that He is coming to be our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby.  This is such amazing truth that we should take a few minutes right now and thank Him for living in us and helping us each and every day.  The scripture also has promised us that He would never leave us or forsake us. What a wonderful gift from God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for the precious gift that i have inside of me, I have the all powerful, all knowing and always present Holy Spirit to help me in my life journey.  God You are so good to me.  I ask that you would continue to fill me daily with so much love and faith the it spills over. I pray that when others speak to me that they will notice Your Holy Spirit present in my life… please continue to use me to share your gosple.

I Praise You for each and everyone of the people that have had the faith to choose you Lord. I will never forget the day I chose to follow You and experienced the indwelling of Your Holy Spirit into me. I truly did not understand, Iwas blinded and in bondage until you set me free.  I love you… in Your precious name. Amen.

If you have never made the decision to ask Jesus into your life, please consider what you are missing. JESUS is the greatest gift I have ever experienced. My life has never been the same. I would not ever want to life any other way. Please click here to learn more..

September 15th 2015 – A Parable of Urgency to the Unbeliever

images-152

“Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.” (Psalm 32:6)

Jesus often relied on parables in the Bible to compare something in everyday life to a spiritual truth. However, many of us have trouble understanding Jesus’ parables because we don’t belong to the culture for which they were written. The importance of the spiritual truth is diluted, if not misunderstood, because we can’t relate to the everyday example to which Jesus compares it. The fact is if Jesus walked among us today, His parables would emphasize the same spiritual truths, but use situations and circumstances to which we could immediately connect.

I don’t think you’ll have any trouble understanding this parable.

A couple and thier two children are vacationing in the Gulf of Mexico, Their tenage daughters were playing on rafts out in the ocean bay. All were unaware that a major storm was brewing several hundred miles out in the Gulf, even though the undertow was already beginning to show the early symptoms that a storm was on the way.

These two little girls drifted out beyond the breakers and one of them lost her float. Her sister told her to hold on to the raft until help arrived, but no one seemed to be noticing that they needed help. Meanwhile, the undertow repeatedly overpowered the little girls, only to relinquish its strength long enough for them to get her head back above the water and catch her breath.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a lifeguard appeared. However, he couldn’t overcome the power of the undertow either and told the girls that if they drifted out beyond the next row of breakers, there would be no coming back.

I’m not going to drag out the suspense. The lifeguard managed to get the girls safely back to shore, but I couldn’t let the spiritual truth in this story go to an early grave.

This parable is told in the context of our own culture; consequently, most of us have no trouble understanding its connection to the burden of sin and the timing of salvation in the life of an unbeliever. Indeed, as Paul put it, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. (Romans 6:23) However, what many of us fail to understand what Paul means when he said, “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation”. (2 Corinthians 6:2)

Each of us knows as unbeliever who either beleives in false doctrines or they can decide when it is time to open their heart to Jesus. While they will freely admit that they sometimes feels God’s pull, but they dont think they need God right now. “There’s plenty of time left before I need to make that decision,” they may tell you.

They may be deadly wrong. God told the Prophet Isaiah, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)

The truth is that God will not wait on us to come to him. When he knocks, it may be our only opportunity to answer his call. His Word constantly reminds us that it is he who decides who may come to him; and it is he who will decide when it is time to shut the door. That’s why Jesus said, “Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us’. But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from’.” (Luke 13:25)

Aren’t you glad that when you were drowning in your gulf of sin, a lifeguard appeared to let you know that if you got out much farther, there would be no coming back. After all, “For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”. (John 3:17)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, these are such tedious times. Never before in society have we witnessed such times where the prophet’s signs are unfolding daily right before our eyes. Times where all things that are Godly and good are banned and sin is being leaglised everywhere we look.

Father God, I thank you for Your persistent pursuit of me to come to know You, as my Lord and Savior. I thank You for the Holy Spirt and how my eyes were opened when I accepted You personally into my life. I ask humbly as nothing more then a peasant servant, that you would reveil a sense of urgency in the hearts of people that you lead into my life. Help open their eyes to the truths in your Holy word. That they would be curious to seek the answers to why there is still a empty void in thier life. We were created to Love you, and seek You Lord.. The enemy has created such confusion with his lies. But Your word warns us of that.  “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; but You come that we may have life, and have it abundantly.”

I praise You for your promise, Your Love and I pray that today is the day that my friend truly opens the door of thier heart that You would be invited to come in before it’s too late. In Your Holy name. Amen

September 14th 2015 – Our Glorious Healer

images-81

“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you” (Deuteronomy 7:15)

Our Father God is not the author of sickness and disease.  He is the author of health and well-being.  Our Father is looking for ways to bring healing to us and not take it away from us.  When we do a good study of the scriptures you will find over and over that our God is a God who heals His children.

The Bible states that Jesus and the Father are one and everywhere that Jesus went as He walked this earth, He never once put a sickness on someone.  NO!  He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.  So we see that sickness is from the devil and it came at the fall.

When satan came and brought fear into this world and all its deadly works, God sent Jesus to destroy all of them for us.  What a Father we serve.  He is the Great I Am, not I Want To Be.  He is at work in us, helping us and guiding us to bring a cure.  Do you really think that the devil would give us doctors and nurses and people that can help us?

You see if it was up to the devil he would keep us sick and miserable.  But our Father has given us healing through His Word.  He has given great medicines and doctors, all because He loves us and wants us well.

So today, don’t accept anything from the devil.  Accept everything that is good and comes from God your Heavenly Father Who loves you and gave His all for you.  Learn His ways and the light will always expose the darkness of the devil.

Prayer

Lord, I come before you today in need of your healing hand. In you all things are possible. Hold my heart within yours, and renew my mind, body, and soul

I am lost, but I am singing. You gave us life, and you also give us the gift of infinite joy. Give me the strength to move forward on the path you’ve laid out for me. Guide me towards better health, and give me the wisdom to identify those you’ve placed around me to help me get better In your precious name I pray, Amen

September 13th 2015 – Eternal Confidence in Jesus Christ!

data-security1

“Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)

We live in a world where some people find hope, but few things are certain. People change. Circumstances change. There is always the question of what lies ahead tomorrow and thereafter. This uncertainty often causes us angst. There are so few things we can rely on confidently.

But one thing we can count on as Christians is eternity with Jesus. Yes, we can be “fully confident,” as Paul says, that when we are absent from our earthly bodies we will be at home with the Lord forever.

The saved can count on this with absolute certainty. But being saved is more than belonging to a church or having head knowledge about the Bible and the Christian faith. It comes from a personal relationship with Jesus.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) Salvation comes when we confess our sins and invite Jesus to be our Lord and Savior and live within us through the work of the Holy Spirit. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24)

Today, as someone who is saved, you can have full confidence that what awaits you in heaven is far better than anything this earth has to offer.

Lord, thank You for the invitation to live with You forever. I confess my sins and surrender my heart and life to You again. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and impart to me assurance of salvation. Amen.

What is Salvation? How do I obtain it?

September 12th 2015 – Thanksgiving and (Holy Spirit) Prayers (Part 3)

images-203

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”(Colossians 1:9-17)

This is another Holy Spirit prayer that can be prayed for yourself or someone else.

Again, we see that the Apostle Paul is praying that they might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  God wants us to know His will.  His will is His Word.  When we take time to read the Word of God, the Bible, and to read good books by strong men and women of God, we get an understanding of the mind of God.

Then, as we pray prayers like this, it opens us up to receive from the Word that we’ve read.  There are some times when I read the Word and don’t get much out of it.  Then there are times that I read the Bible and I say, “Wow! Was that always in there?”  Sometimes this happens as I listen to teachings from men and women of God.

God has set people in the church to help us learn and to help us get an understanding of the Word.  However, we cannot just lean on them.  We have to take time to read the Word for ourselves as well, and ask Him to give us the understanding that we need.

So today, start praying these Holy Spirit prayers that we looked at the last three days, over yourself and others, and see what happens.  See yourself coming into a new place in God.  See yourself seeing things from the Word that you never saw before.  Remember, it all starts with a prayer and the Holy Spirit has placed these powerful prayers in the scriptures for you and for me.

Prayer

Today, I pray this Holy Spirit anointed prayer for _______________.

Heavenly Father, thank you for opening their eyes as I pray this prayer.  Thank you that they will see what is available to them in the kingdom of God. Thank you for being so incredibly passionate about us Lord. Thank you for not only your continous pursuit of me but also of ___________. I acknowledge that You, and only You are my one true God. I will never forget your sacrifice on the cross,  it is why I get to live this life I have today. I submit my life to You.  In Your precious name,  Amen.
