October 2nd 2025 – Teach Me to Love Like Jesus

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” (John 14:28)

Have you ever shown attitude toward someone? Maybe a cheek or a cold shoulder? We often treat people based on whatever emotion we’re feeling at the moment. Sometimes we’re sad, reaching out for comfort from those around us. Other times, anger consumes us, and we seek someone to blame, venting our frustrations on them. But the most painful feeling of all? Not feeling loved and shutting ourselves off from the ability to love in return. Fortunately, we have Jesus, who modeled for us the essence of love and how to treat others. Let’s reflect on how Jesus loved.

“If there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:1-11)

How do you treat the people around you?

Take a moment to reflect on this for each of the following categories: family, friends, neighbors, classmates, strangers, your teacher, or your boss.

How did Jesus treat others? How did He respond in times of anguish and pain? How encouraged are you to adopt that loving mindset?

I’ll admit, I don’t always treat others as I should. Sometimes, I feel spiteful; other times, I feel lonely or hurt. Anger can creep in, and I might feel wretched. So, what do we do when we find ourselves in such a state? Turning to God should always be our first option, yet it’s not always easy. Paul encourages us to act without selfish ambition, to consider the interests of others. I know I often fall short of “considering others better than myself” or treating them with the love they deserve.

But think about Jesus. He bore all our pain and lowered Himself to the status of a servant. He loved, He served, He saved, and then He lived. That’s how we must strive to live. There’s a song that reminds us, “We live, we love, we forgive and never give up, ’cause the days we are given are gifts from above. So today, remember to love.”

“Jesus gave us the commandment to love one another. As He has loved us, we need to show compassion and love to others. If you don’t know how, ask Jesus to teach you to love like He does.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Your greatness astounds me, and Your love fills my heart with gratitude. I thank You for the gift of my wife, my family, and my friends who pour their love into my life each day. Please teach me to love like You love—unconditionally, selflessly, and wholeheartedly. Help me to embrace each opportunity to show compassion, understanding, and kindness to everyone I encounter. Grant me the strength to rise above my feelings of anger, hurt, or loneliness, and instead reflect Your love in my actions. May I always remember that every moment is a chance to share Your light with the world. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen!

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

In our lives, we often face moments that feel overwhelming and heavy. The weight of our struggles can make us feel as though we are sinking into darkness, lost and alone. Yet, in these very moments, there is a promise that resonates through the ages—the promise of resurrection, renewal, and rebirth.

Scriptural Seeds latest worship song “Rise Again” reminds us that even when we stumble, we possess the divine ability to rise. This isn’t just a call to persevere; it’s an invitation to experience the transformative power of God’s love. When we lean into our faith, we discover that hope is not a fleeting feeling but a steadfast anchor that holds us firm through any storm.

Consider the story of the prodigal son. After wandering far and squandering his inheritance, he found himself in despair. But it was in his brokenness that he recognized his need for his father’s love. When he returned, he was met not with judgment but with open arms—a beautiful reminder that no matter how far we stray, God is always ready to welcome us back home.

Take a moment today to reflect on areas in your life where you feel burdened or defeated. Write down a prayer or a commitment to God, asking for the strength to rise again. Share your struggles with a trusted friend or a mentor, allowing their support to help lift you back to hope.

In the journey of life, remember that “Rise Again” is more than a song; it’s a declaration of faith—the assurance that, through God, we can rise from our struggles and embrace the new beginnings He has in store for us. Let us hold onto this truth and encourage one another to soar high on the wings of hope and love.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, in moments of darkness and despair, help me to remember that I can rise again through Your grace. Strengthen my heart, renew my spirit, and guide me back to the light of Your love. May I always hold onto hope and trust in Your promises, knowing that every setback is an opportunity for a comeback. Thank You for being my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

March 31st 2025 – The Depth of a Father’s Love

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1)

In our lives, the love of a father can be a powerful and transformative experience. Many of us have felt the warmth of a father’s embrace, the strength of his guidance, and the unwavering support in times of need. A father’s love often mirrors the protective, nurturing, and encouraging nature that we all long for.

As we consider the love of an earthly father, it is important to recognize that this love, no matter how deep and genuine, is but a shadow of the love our Heavenly Father has for us. God’s love is unconditional, boundless, and perfect—qualities that can sometimes be difficult to grasp.

Earthly fathers may falter; they may struggle with their own imperfections, but our Heavenly Father is perfect in every way. He knows us intimately, understands our weaknesses, and loves us fiercely despite our flaws. His love is not based on our performance, but on His character.

Take a moment to reflect on the love of your father or father figure. What lessons did you learn from him? Now, think about how those lessons can help you understand the greater love of your Heavenly Father. Write down any thoughts or feelings that come to mind as you meditate on this profound truth.


“God is love.” (1 John 4:8) When we accept this truth, we begin to understand that the love we experience on earth is merely a glimpse of the eternal and perfect love that awaits us in our relationship with God. Let this love transform you and inspire you to share it with others.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your incredible love. Help us to understand the depth of that love and to reflect it in our own lives. Teach us to trust in Your goodness and to seek Your guidance as we navigate our relationships and responsibilities. May we always remember that we are cherished as Your children, and may that knowledge bring us comfort, strength, and peace.

Lord, we ask that You fill our hearts with compassion and grace, so we may extend Your love to those around us. Help us to be patient and forgiving, just as You are with us. Guide us to create a nurturing environment where love can flourish, and may our actions reflect Your light in this world.

Thank You for always being there for us, for listening to our prayers, and for holding us close in times of need. May we continually seek to grow in our relationship with You, finding our identity and purpose in Your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

March 27th 2025 – Sharing Jesus in a Lost and Hateful World

“Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?” (2 Corinthians 11:7)

Imagine having the apostle Paul as your pastor. He’s often viewed as the “ideal pastor,” beloved by all, yet 2 Corinthians 11 reveals a different reality. In this poignant chapter, Paul finds himself defending his ministry against those within the church who question his motives.

Some in the Corinthian church accused Paul of seeking monetary gain, despite his choice to preach without charge. Others regarded him as a lesser teacher simply because he didn’t solicit financial support. Ultimately, Paul faced an uphill battle. Why did he refrain from accepting funds? Because the congregation projected an unwillingness to give, portraying themselves as unable or undeserving of contributing. They missed a transformative opportunity to support Paul’s ministry and share in its blessings due to their selfishness. Yet, Paul continued to love them deeply, striving to speak the Truth in love, hoping they would eventually recognize it.

Our own lives mirror this experience. There are moments when we share the Truth in love, and it may fall on deaf ears. But even when others resist, we must persist in love, allowing the Lord to use our gentle witness to create lasting change in their lives.

“Some people won’t hear; some won’t recognize the sacrifice and gift; some may slander you while others may wish to harm you. Yet, don’t stop trying, for some will hear and be transformed.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I find myself struggling with certain individuals in my life. No matter how much love I extend, they leave me questioning why. Help me to be a true reflection of Your love to them. Grant me opportunities to share the truth with grace, remaining sensitive and patient as Your Holy Spirit works. If I am part of the challenge, please make me aware, so I can bring it to You. Thank You for allowing me to serve in this ministry without seeking compensation or donations. I am grateful to support others with what I’ve earned through hard work. Lord, open their eyes to see that blessings are gifts, not entitlements. Thank You for sustaining me through trials when I face negativity, judgment, or attacks for sharing Your truth in love. Please continue to bless me with a job that fulfills me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 10th 2025 – Grip of Grace

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8-10)

We often perceive grace as a single event, a moment when we first recognize our need for God’s mercy. However, if grace were only a one-time occurrence, we would find ourselves in a precarious position. The truth is that the grace of God is essential for us each day of our lives. We are reminded that the mercy of the Lord endures forever. This enduring mercy means it will never diminish or become exhausted.

Looking at the life of Peter, we see a profound example of human frailty and divine forgiveness. Peter, despite his failures and denials, found redemption and purpose in Christ. This serves as a powerful reminder for us: we often write ourselves off, but God sees us differently. There is no one beyond the reach of His grace. Just as Peter was forgiven and restored, so too are we, regardless of our missteps. Though we may stumble and fall, we can take comfort in knowing that we have constant access to His love and forgiveness. We live in the abundant embrace of His grace.

As Isaiah 1:18 beautifully declares, “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” This is a promise of hope and renewal, assuring us that no matter how far we stray, we can always return to Him and be made whole again.

“As followers of Jesus, we can be assured that we are forgiven for all our mistakes, and His grace is sufficient for every challenge we face.“

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your unending grace and mercy. Thank You for the gift of forgiveness, which cleanses me from all unrighteousness and allows me to stand before You without shame. I confess my sins and shortcomings, knowing that Your love covers all my failures. Help me to run to Your throne of grace often, seeking Your guidance and strength in every area of my life.

Lord, I ask for Your help in overcoming the obstacles that hinder my spiritual journey. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, so that I may walk in Your ways and reflect Your love to those around me. May I never forget the depth of Your grace and the power it holds to transform my life.

In moments of doubt or struggle, remind me of Your promises and the example of those like Peter who found redemption. Help me to remember that I am never beyond the reach of Your love. Thank You for embracing me as Your child and for the hope that comes from knowing I am forgiven. I pray this in Jesus’s name, Amen.

March 7th 2025 – Our Deepest Pain

“Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.” (2 Corinthians 1:6)

Consider this: if you knew that a friend’s pain could lead them to a deeper relationship with God, would you still wish to remove that pain? Or if the heartache of a loved one could result in their salvation, would you allow them to go through it? What if your own struggles were necessary for you to provide comfort to someone else? These are challenging yet crucial questions to ponder. If we believe in a good and trustworthy God, we must also believe that He has a purpose for our pain.

Reflecting on my own journey, I once led a life that many would deem successful. I owned and managed a corporation, enjoyed a wonderful marriage, and provided for my happy children. On the surface, everything seemed perfect. But in an instant, my life shifted dramatically when my wife unexpectedly ran off with a stranger, seeking a life apart from our family.

The aftermath was profound for myself especially for our children, who faced the trauma of abandonment. Shortly after, I experienced a traumatic brain injury due to the overwhelming stress. Friends and family viewed my situation as a tragic misfortune. I endured surgeries and years of rehabilitation, struggling to move and think clearly again.

In the eyes of many, this raised the question: “How could a good God allow such suffering, especially to innocent children?” The issue lies in the inability to see the entirety of God’s plan. My hardships have enabled me to empathize with others facing similar challenges. By sharing my story of recovery and the miraculous ways God has transformed my life, I can offer hope to those in despair. I have found love again and forged new friendships, all while witnessing the profound impact of God’s grace.

Ultimately, my past sufferings have served a greater purpose — drawing people closer to God. That realization makes every moment of pain worthwhile.

“Every pain in life can find meaning by learning to comfort others.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the trials You have permitted in my life. Grant me the strength to endure these challenging times so that I may comfort others in their moments of need. Thank You for Your constant presence in my struggles. May my wounds inspire me to respond to the world with compassion, reflecting Christ’s love rather than my own frustrations. Help me grow closer to You through these trials, understanding that even in pain, there is beauty and purpose. I am grateful for the lessons You reveal through my experiences. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 5th 2025 – In Your Peace, I will Find My Way

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” (Isaiah 26:3)

In the midst of life’s storms, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, especially for those grappling with addiction or burdens that weigh heavily on the heart. The world often throws distractions and temptations our way, leaving us feeling lost and unsure of our path. Yet, in these moments of struggle, we can find solace in the promise of God’s peace.

Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that perfect peace is reserved for those who keep their minds steadfast and trust in the Lord. Trust is not merely a passive acceptance; it is an active decision to lean on God’s understanding rather than our own. When we place our faith in Him, we invite His peace to wash over us, soothing our anxious thoughts and guiding us on our journey.

Imagine walking through a dense fog, where every step feels uncertain and treacherous. But then, a light pierces through the gloom—a beacon of hope showing the way. This is what God’s peace does for us. It illuminates our path, allowing us to navigate through our struggles with clarity and strength.

When we surrender our worries and addictions to Him, we create space for His serenity to fill our hearts. This doesn’t mean that challenges will vanish; rather, it signifies that we do not face them alone. God walks with us, offering His guiding hand.

Take a few moments to sit in silence. Reflect on what burdens you are carrying today. Breathe deeply, and as you exhale, visualize releasing those burdens into God’s hands. Allow His peace to envelop you, reminding you that in His embrace, you will always find your way.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In moments of doubt and fear, help me to trust in You fully. I lay down my struggles and addictions at Your feet, knowing that with You, I can find my way. Fill my heart with Your serenity, and let it guide me in every step I take. May I always remember that in Your presence, I am safe and loved. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

February 19th 2025 – Faith Over Fear

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

In our lives, we often find ourselves standing at the crossroads of faith and fear. The world around us can be overwhelming, filled with uncertainties, challenges, and the unknown. Fear can grip our hearts, cloud our minds, and lead us to doubt the very promises God has given us. Yet, amid these storms, we are reminded of the profound truth that faith is our anchor.

Consider the story of Peter walking on water. When he stepped out of the boat, his faith propelled him toward Jesus. However, as the winds howled and the waves crashed around him, fear crept in, causing him to sink. In that moment of desperation, Peter cried out, and Jesus reached out to save him. This story illustrates a critical lesson: faith and fear can coexist, but it is our choice to focus on faith that enables us to rise above fear.

Take a moment today to identify a fear that has been holding you back. Write it down, and then write a corresponding promise from Scripture that counters that fear. Spend time in prayer, asking God to help you replace that fear with faith. Consider sharing your experience with someone who may also be struggling, and encourage them to embrace faith over fear.

As you navigate life’s uncertainties, remember that with God, you are never alone. Let your faith rise above your fears, and embrace the beautiful future He has prepared for you.

“Trust that even in the midst of challenges, His plans for you are filled with hope and purpose.“

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible plans You have for us. Help us to remember that when fear rises, we can cling to our faith in You. Teach us to look to You as our source of strength and courage. May we trust in Your love and guidance, knowing that You are always with us, even in the darkest days. Let our hearts be filled with the assurance that faith overcomes fear. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

January 26th 2025 – The Significance of Anointing David’s Head with Oil

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:1-6)

Psalm 23 stands out as one of the most cherished passages within the Scriptures, eloquently conveying the deep connection between God and His people. In the midst of life’s uncertainties and trials, David depicts God as a caring shepherd, one who provides abundantly, protects fiercely, and leads wisely.

When David proclaims, “You anoint my head with oil,” it carries profound layers of meaning. The act of anointing with oil in ancient Biblical culture was steeped in rich symbolism. It was not merely a physical action but rather a powerful expression of blessing, healing, and divine selection. Oil, in those times, was often utilized to soothe and heal wounds, but it also symbolized honor, authority, and the special status bestowed by God.

 1. Anointing as Divine Blessing:

To be anointed with oil signifies being favored by God. David recognizes that the Lord’s blessings are abundant in his life. Each of us can reflect on the multitude of blessings we have received, understanding that they are gifts from our Creator. This awareness encourages us to develop a heart full of gratitude and appreciation for the good things that surround us.

 2. Anointing as Healing and Restoration:

In a world often filled with pain, turmoil, and brokenness, David’s mention of anointing serves as a powerful reminder of God’s desire to heal. He seeks to restore our souls, helping us to rise above our past wounds and struggles. When we invite God into our pain and difficulties, He brings healing and renewal, enabling us to move forward with hope.

 3. Anointing with Purpose and Calling:

David, who himself was a shepherd, understands the significance of being set apart for a specific purpose. Just as God anointed kings and prophets in the Old Testament to fulfill His divine plans, He has a unique calling for each of us. We are chosen vessels, intended to carry forth His message of love and grace to the world.

“Take a few moments to reflect deeply on the ways God has blessed you. Consider the areas in your heart and life where you seek healing, clarity, or direction. Allow the profound truths within Psalm 23 to envelop you, reminding you of God’s unwavering presence, endless love, and the promise that He walks alongside you every step of the way.”

Prayer: 

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Shepherd and guiding light. I acknowledge the countless blessings You have bestowed upon me and humbly seek Your healing touch in my life. Anoint my head with Your oil, Lord, so that I can fulfill the divine purpose You have crafted for me. Help me to walk steadfastly in Your ways and to trust in Your goodness, even as I navigate the darkest valleys. May my cup overflow with Your love and grace, spilling into the lives of those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

January 24th 2025 – Embracing the Light of Christ

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” (John 8:12)

In a world frequently overshadowed by uncertainty, fear, and despair, the declaration of Jesus as the “light of the world” stands as a beacon of hope and guidance. Just as a lighthouse steadfastly navigates ships through treacherous waters to safe harbor, Christ serves as our guiding light through the turbulent seas of life.

Consider the experience of traversing a dimly lit room, where each step feels uncertain and fraught with potential hazards. The instant you switch on a light, the entire atmosphere transforms. Clarity emerges, and you can see the path before you, navigate around obstacles, and make informed decisions. In the same way, when we consciously invite Jesus into our hearts and lives, we receive not just illumination for our path, but also a renewed perspective that reveals the beauty of God’s creation and the depth of His love for each of us.

Every day presents us with opportunities to encounter doubt, anxiety, and confusion. It is all too easy to become engulfed by the surrounding darkness and to feel lost amidst the chaos. Yet, Jesus gently invites us to place our trust in Him. By choosing to follow His teachings and embracing His comforting presence, we can undergo a remarkable transformation that dispels the shadows and fills our hearts with divine peace.

Take a few moments to reflect deeply on aspects of your life where you feel the need for the illuminating presence of Christ. Consider how you might actively invite Him into those areas, allowing His transformative light to penetrate your heart and mind, bringing clarity and hope.

Prayer:
