November 16th 2015 – Treaure of God

“So all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the LORD was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and all the furnishings. And he put them in the treasuries of the house of God.” (2 Chronicles 5:1)

Solomon was one of the greatest kings of Israel and the one God chose to build His temple. Once finished, Solomon filled the treasuries with wealth unimaginable. While this was a blessing to the Lord, there is a treasure God values more than all of the world’s riches. That treasure, my friend, is you.

You are the pearl of great price that our Savior bled and died for. God had all He could ever want in the heavenly realm, but He left it all so that humanity could be saved and spend eternity with Him. Why would He do it you ask? Simple, His love for you.

(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Never Forget – You are a valuable and precious treasure to God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the salvation You offer through Jesus. While I know I have sinned, I also understand that You died so that I can be forgiven. Change my heart and my life so that I may be used to share the Gospel with the world around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father in Heaven, Holy are You, and in You is no lie. You promise to send Jesus into our hearts, if we but ask, and that to do so is an action of faith, even at our weakest moment. By Your Grace, You are the origin of this Word Believe, and that not of ourselves, You Choose us. In my weakest moment through the encouragement of Bob Nelson, whom You used as Your instrument, You opened my heart and saved me. I did not understand any of it, but You did, and I can rest in what You have done for us, from before the world was, You Chose us, from beginning to end and for forevermore. And for this We thank You in Jesus. Amen.”
