“Haplous” (ἁπλοῦς)  (pronounced hap-looce’) carries a profound significance, encapsulating the essence of simplicity and single-mindedness. This word conveys the idea of possessing a pure, undivided focus—a heart and mind that are wholly dedicated to a singular purpose. In the context of our spiritual lives, embodying “haplous” represents the cultivation of a heart that is singularly devoted to God, untangled from the web of distractions and complexities that often ensnare our daily existence.

Cultivating a “Haplous” Heart

In the fast-paced, ever-changing world we inhabit, it can be all too easy to become overwhelmed by the myriad of demands and distractions that vie for our attention. Our lives can quickly become a whirlwind of commitments, responsibilities, and worries, making it increasingly challenging to maintain a deep and meaningful connection with our Creator.
