May 7th 2025 – He Hears Our Cries

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:17-18)

In our lives, there are moments when we feel overwhelmed, lost, and in need of solace. We cry out in prayer, often feeling as though our voices are lost in the chaos around us. Yet, amidst the noise, there is a profound truth: Jesus hears our cries.

The Psalms remind us that God is attentive to our pleas. He does not turn a deaf ear to our suffering; instead, He leans in, ready to listen and respond. Our cries, whether whispered in despair or shouted in anger, reach His ears, and He is moved by our pain.

Jesus, during His earthly ministry, demonstrated this beautifully. He paused to listen to the cries of the blind, the sick, and the brokenhearted. He responded not just with words, but with compassion and action. In the same way, He invites us to bring our burdens to Him.

When we feel crushed in spirit, we can take comfort in knowing that Jesus is close to us. He understands our struggles and offers His presence as a balm for our wounds. In times of distress, we are not alone; our cries are met with His loving response.

Let us remember that crying out to Jesus is not a sign of weakness but an act of faith. It is an acknowledgment of our dependence on Him. In our vulnerability, He meets us with grace, reminding us that our cries are heard and valued.

As we navigate the challenges of life, let us be assured that Jesus is listening. He stands ready to deliver us from our troubles and heal our brokenness. So, let us lift our voices in prayer, confident that He hears our cries and is always by our side.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for hearing my cries and for being close to me in my times of trouble. Help me to trust in Your presence and to rely on Your strength. May I always remember that I am never alone, for You are with me, listening and caring for my heart. In, Jesus’ Name, Amen.

May 6th 2025 – The Eternal Nature of Love

“Love never fails. But whether prophecies exist, they will come to an end; whether languages are spoken, they will cease; whether knowledge is present, it will fade away.” (1 Corinthians 13:8)

Have you ever contemplated love within the context of eternity? One day, everything we understand in this world will be transformed. When Christ reveals Himself in all His glory, heaven will merge with earth, and our lives, homes, bodies, and relationships will be forever altered. Yet, there is one eternal truth: love. When we encounter Christ face to face, faith will no longer be necessary. As we witness the breathtaking realities of heaven, our hopes for a better tomorrow will fade. However, love will remain. The love that brought the universe into existence and breathed life into humanity will continue to support the saints in heaven. The same love that descended from heaven and embraced the cross is the love that has prepared a place for us for all eternity. The love that empowers us in this life will also welcome us into the next. This love never fails, never falters, and never tires. This is the love of God.

“We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

Since this love endures forever, let us start to love one another now. We will spend eternity with our brothers and sisters in Christ, so why not express that love today? As we share the love bestowed upon us through Christ, the world will take notice and yearn for the same. When they do, we can guide them to the infinite source of love, Jesus.

“Love unleashes the power of the Spirit in our lives and within our communities.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the boundless love You have shown me, a love that surpasses all understanding and knows no limits. I am grateful for the grace You extend every day, reminding me of Your presence in my life. Help me to embody that same love in my interactions with others, guiding my words and actions to reflect Your heart. May I be a vessel of Your kindness and compassion, reaching out to those in need, offering comfort to the weary, and support to the broken.

In moments of difficulty, remind me of the love that endures through all trials and challenges. Teach me to see others through Your eyes, recognizing their worth and the unique gifts You have given them. As I go about my day, let me be mindful of opportunities to share Your love, whether through a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand.

I pray that my love for others mirrors the love You have for us, a love that is patient, kind, and forgiving. May my heart be filled with the joy of serving others, reflecting the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs it.

As I seek to love those around me, I ask for Your guidance and strength. Empower me with the Holy Spirit to act boldly in love and to be a beacon of hope. Help me to remember that we are all part of Your family, destined to share eternity together. May my actions today encourage others to seek out the source of love, our Savior, Jesus Christ. In His precious name, I pray, Amen.

Experience love like no other. If you do not know Him personally, I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. Jesus loves us and wants to help us through the storms. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior please click here 4 Simple Steps to Jesus.

May 5th 2025 – Caring for God’s Creation

“The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10)

As we reflect on our role as caretakers of God’s creation, it’s vital to recognize the profound responsibility bestowed upon us. The Bible teaches that animals are not merely resources or possessions; they are part of God’s intricate design, deserving of our compassion and care.

In Genesis 1:26-28, we see that humanity is given dominion over the earth and all living creatures. This dominion is not a license for exploitation but rather a call to stewardship. God has entrusted us with the well-being of His animals, and this duty reflects His character. Just as God cares for His creation, so should we.

Consider the heart of Jesus, who demonstrated compassion to all living beings. In Matthew 6:26, He reminds us that if God cares for the birds of the air, how much more valuable are we? This assurance extends to all creatures, as every animal is part of the tapestry of life that God has woven. Our treatment of animals reveals our understanding of God’s love and grace.

Reflecting on this, we must ask ourselves: How do we care for those who cannot speak for themselves? Are we attentive to their needs, providing them with shelter, food, and respect? In doing so, we honor God’s creation and mirror His love.

Let us also remember that caring for animals is an act of worship. In Psalms 145:9, we read that “The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.” When we show kindness to animals, we participate in God’s goodness and share His compassion with the world around us.

“When we have compassion and have a heart for God’s animals, we align ourselves with His purpose and reflect the love of our Creator. Let us strive to be compassionate stewards, honoring the beauty of His creation in all that we do.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your creation and the animals that share this earth with us. Help us to be diligent stewards of all living beings, treating them with the love and respect they deserve. May our actions reflect Your heart, demonstrating compassion and kindness to every creature. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May 4th 2025 – In The Beginning

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

What an amazing statement. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  It doesn’t say I hope God did.  It sure doesn’t show God trying to prove that He did.  It just says, He did it.  One thing is sure, and that is, that God is sure of Himself.  We need to just believe it His way, and everything works out.

When you think about what this verse has in it, that God, with His Word created everything that we can see, and the things that we cannot see. He made the stars, the planets, the moons that circle the planets.  He made every living thing, from human to animals to angelic.  He made it all.

God, our heavenly Father is truly amazing, and one day we will share in this wonder of His.  It says in (1 Corinthians 2:9) But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Now that should get your hope and expectation going.  God has given us little glimpses of heaven and the new earth, things like streets of gold, no pain or sickness, the lion laying with the lamb.  One day it will all happen and we will live before Him and with Him.  One day we will see our Jesus.

I don’t know about you, but I want to be able to hear Him say, “Well done you good and faithful one”.  Yeah, that’s going to be heaven right there. So go ahead, look at all God has created because He created it for you and for me.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God!”

Prayer:

My Heavenly Father, You made all of this world for us to live in and enjoy.  You gave us dominion to live a life of abundant blessing. Today, I choose that life over the life of sin and death. I thank you for saving me from destruction and death and restoring my life that I would have a new beginning. I love you Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May 3rd 2025 – We Are The Church

“Ephraim has surrounded Me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit; yet Judah continues to walk with God, even with the Holy One who is faithful.” (Hosea 11:12)

After King Solomon’s reign, the Kingdom of Israel divided into two: the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah. Both faced significant challenges, but Judah managed to remain steadfast longer. A key factor in this was the proximity of the temple, the dwelling place of God. Since the Temple was situated in Judah, its people could maintain their fellowship with the Lord through sacrifices and the daily responsibilities of the priests, which helped them stay focused on God.

Isn’t it true that we face similar circumstances today? To persevere through tough times and grow in our faith, God has given us the church. The church is not merely a building; it is a body of believers ordained by God to uplift, challenge, and transform our lives for the better. We are the Church! While church life can certainly be messy and we may struggle to love our fellow Christians, there is no better environment to learn love than among those who also love Jesus. Our surroundings profoundly impact our lives. When we immerse ourselves in God’s teachings, the love of fellow believers, and opportunities to serve and witness, we grow stronger in faith. Conversely, if we neglect worship, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers, we risk missing out on the spiritual growth that God intends for us. It may not always be easy, but the reward is invaluable.

“Let us remember to practice the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives, for we are the Church.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the church and for the brothers and sisters who love You and care for me. Help me to wholeheartedly commit to fellowship, so I can experience spiritual growth and victory this year. May we walk in love and grace with one another, allowing the world to see our love and desire to know You more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May 2nd 2025 – Dear Dad

.“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Dear Dad,

Please instill in my heart a longing for Your words above all else. Open my eyes to see the amazing truths in the Bible. Unify my heart to fear You and You alone. Satisfy me with Your unfailing love.

I desire to honor You and uphold Your reputation through my words and actions. I pray that Your sovereignty becomes tangible and evident in the lives of people around the world. Each day, may my actions and leadership within my family align with Your plans for my life.

At times, I feel spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally broken; please provide me with everything I need today. When I stumble and sin, forgive me, and help me to forgive others and extend grace as You do for me. Lead me away from temptation, for I struggle to resist it. Please rescue me from the evil one.

I choose to be joyful because of all that You have done for me! I have cried for help countless times, and You always comfort me and save me through the hardest moments. I want to trust You more and more with everything. You paid the ransom for my life; I belong to You, and You belong to me! I pray that You will not hold Yourself back from me, and that I may know You more deeply each day.

How is it that You show me such attention when I am so small? I am overwhelmed by how a God so powerful and renowned cares for me and my life. Thank You for always being with me and for the assurance that I need not be ashamed.

I am grateful for family, the special people I love. The ones have placed in my life to guide and teach me in Your ways.

I LOVE YOU.

Sincerely, Your son.

Note: This was my prayer today, and I encourage you to take this opportunity to give thanks for the people and circumstances that God has touched in your life. Take a moment to let your loved ones know how much you love them. Forgive any hurts they may have caused you, and ask for forgiveness for anything you may have done to hurt them. Don’t wait another day—do it now. You never know when they will leave this earth, and you won’t have the chance to express your feelings. I lost my father when I was 22 and was unsaved, and there is so much I wish I could say now.

May the Spirit of God overwhelm you today, and may God bless you.

“Reach out to God and ask Him to show you His fatherly love; you will not be disappointed. Remember, He is all He says He is!”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I praise You for the amazing love You have shown me. Thank You for the people You have brought into my life who exemplify the love of Christ. Help me to fully grasp this love, so that I can share it with others in the same way. Strip away any excuses and use me to reach others with the love of Jesus. In Your glorious and precious name, Amen.

May 1st 2025 – Trusting God in the Wake of Health Issues

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Health issues can be daunting and often lead us into a valley of uncertainty and fear. When faced with physical ailments or medical challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious. We may question our circumstances, ask “Why me?” or struggle with feelings of helplessness. However, in these moments, we are called to lean into our faith and trust in God’s unwavering presence.

Trusting God during health challenges requires us to surrender our worries and fears to Him. It’s important to remember that God is not distant or uninformed about our struggles; He is intimately aware of our pain and suffering. In Psalm 34:18, we find reassurance: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This promise reminds us that even in our weakest moments, God is by our side, offering comfort and strength.

As we navigate our health issues, we are encouraged to approach God with our concerns. Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us that prayer is a powerful tool. By bringing our worries to God, we not only share our burdens but also invite His peace to fill our hearts. This divine peace, which surpasses all human understanding, becomes our anchor in the storm, helping us to stay grounded in faith rather than fear.

Take a moment today to write down your health concerns and pray over them. Consider sharing your struggles with a trusted friend or family member who can support you in prayer. Remember that you are not alone in your journey; God is with you, and so are those who love you.

Trusting God in the face of health challenges is not about understanding the journey, but about resting in His unchanging presence and peace.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, in the midst of health struggles, I come to You seeking comfort and strength. Help me to trust in Your plan, even when the path seems uncertain. Please grant me Your peace that transcends all understanding, guarding my heart and mind. May I find hope in Your promises, knowing that You are always with me. Thank You for being my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ Holy and precious name, Amen.

April 30th 2025 – Practicing a Grateful Heart

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to get caught up in what we lack or what isn’t going right. Yet, Scripture calls us to a higher purpose: to give thanks in all circumstances. Practicing gratitude is not merely a suggestion; it is a command that fosters a deep connection with our Creator and transforms our perspective.

A grateful heart recognizes the blessings that often go unnoticed. From the warmth of the sun on our faces to the laughter of loved ones, everything is a gift from God. When we begin our day with an attitude of gratitude, our hearts are opened to see the beauty around us. We become more aware of the small miracles that fill our lives, even amidst challenges.

Practical Steps:

  1. Keep a Gratitude Journal: Each evening, write down three things you are grateful for. This practice will help you focus on the positives and cultivate a habit of thankfulness.
  2. Daily Affirmations: Start your day by speaking positive affirmations of gratitude. For example, “I am grateful for the love of my family” or “I appreciate the beauty of nature around me.”
  3. Thanksgiving Prayers: Incorporate moments of thanksgiving into your prayers. Instead of solely asking for things, take time to thank God for what you already have.
  4. Express Gratitude to Others: Take the time to tell someone how much you appreciate them. A simple note or a heartfelt conversation can uplift both your spirits.
  5. Focus on the Present: Practice mindfulness by being present in the moment. Acknowledge the blessings that are unfolding right now, whether it’s a beautiful sunset or a kind word from a friend.

As we cultivate a grateful heart, we align ourselves with God’s will and open the door to deeper joy and peace. Let gratitude be the lens through which you view the world, and watch how it transforms your life and those around you. Remember, a grateful heart is a heart that overflows with love and light.

“Practicing a grateful heart helps us recognize and appreciate the blessings in our lives, fostering joy and peace through daily gratitude and connection with God.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the countless blessings You bestow upon me each day. Help me to practice gratitude, even when circumstances are tough. Teach me to see Your hand in every moment and to express my thankfulness for Your love and grace. May my heart be filled with appreciation, and may my life reflect the joy of a grateful spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

April 29th 2025 – Each Scar Tells a Story

We have all had moments in our lives, where we find ourselves reflecting on the experiences that have shaped us. Each scar we bear is not merely a mark of pain; it is a testament to our journey, a story etched into our very being. Just as a tapestry weaves together various threads to create a beautiful picture, the scars we carry weave into the fabric of our lives, telling the stories of our triumphs and trials.

Consider the scars of Jesus. Each one speaks volumes of His love and sacrifice. They remind us of the depths of His compassion, the suffering He endured, and the ultimate victory over sin and death. When we read about His life, His sacrifice and His scars, we see not just the pain but the purpose behind it. Jesus bore those scars for us, to heal our wounds and to offer us redemption.

In our own lives, we may struggle with feelings of inadequacy or despair, questioning our worth or the significance of our pain. Yet, God sees our scars and understands the stories they tell. He walks with us through our struggles, transforming our pain into purpose. Each scar becomes a chapter in our life story, allowing us to connect with others and share the hope found in Christ.

As we navigate the challenges of life, let us remember that Jesus will never give up on us. His scars tell a story of unwavering love and commitment. No matter how deep our wounds may seem, He is there, ready to embrace us, heal us, and remind us that we are never alone. In our brokenness, He finds beauty; in our scars, He sees stories of grace.

So, let us wear our scars with pride, knowing that they are part of our testimony. Just as Jesus’ scars illustrate His enduring love, may our scars shine as a beacon of hope, pointing others to the One who never abandons us, who always sees our worth, and who turns our pain into a powerful narrative of redemption.

“Every scar is a story of survival, a testament to our journey, and a reminder that we are never alone.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the love and grace You extend to us daily. Thank You for the scars of Jesus, reminders of His unwavering commitment to our redemption. Help us to see our own scars as beautiful stories of Your faithfulness, transforming our pain into purpose. Grant us the strength to embrace our journeys, to find solace in our struggles, and to share our testimonies with others. May we always remember that You will never give up on us, and that in our brokenness, You see beauty. Fill us with Your peace and lead us to be vessels of hope in a world that desperately needs to know Your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

April 28th 2025 – The Good Farmer

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (John 15:1-2)

What an amazing and loving Heavenly Father we have.  He is always at work within us to help us grow up.  Many people look at verse two and see the words “takes away” and think that God gets rid of those who do not bear fruit.  That is not what it is saying.  This verse means that God lifts up those who are having problems bearing fruit and works with them.

A wise farmer doesn’t destroy his branches, he lifts them up, cleans them, and reties them to the vine.  Our loving Father does the same thing.  He is out for our best and will keep working with us to produce much fruit.

Remember, good trees naturally bring forth good fruit. We are good trees planted in the house of the Lord. If you love God and you have accepted His free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ then God’s love is poured out on you. God is working on the inside to help you produce a great harvest that will last you throughout all eternity.

It’s important to know that it’s not what you do, but it’s letting Him do the work within you. Too many times, we say, “I need to do this or I need to do that” before God will work in my life; it’s just being legalistic. God wants to do the good work within you and as He does and good things develop within your heart, you will see that these fruits of the Spirit will become obvious to others.

If you let God do this pruning within you, you will see that the fruits of love, joy, and peace will start growing, and you’ll look back and say, “Is this really me?” Remember, the fruits of the Spirit are not works of law but gifts of grace.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank you for always being “The Good Farmer”, Its Your pruning that produces good fruit in my life. I welcome the planting of the seeds through Your Word to grow and live in me. As I do, You will clean my heart so that the fruits of the spirit can operate big time within me.  I praise You for all that you do in my life. In Jesus’ precious name,  Amen.
