October 24th 2024 – Anchored in Hope

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” (Hebrews 6:19)

In the tumultuous seas of life, where waves of uncertainty and storms of despair threaten to overwhelm us, our faith serves as a steadfast anchor. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that hope is not just a fleeting feeling; it is the very anchor of our soul. This hope is rooted in the promises of God, who is unchanging and faithful.

As we navigate through challenges, we often find ourselves searching for stability. In moments of doubt, it’s easy to feel adrift, but God invites us to cast our burdens upon Him. He assures us that no matter the storm, His love and grace are sufficient to keep us secure.

Reflect on the times when God has been your anchor. Perhaps it was during a time of loss, a difficult decision, or a season of waiting. In those moments, His presence provided peace that surpassed understanding.

“May we be reminded daily that with God as our anchor, we can face any storm with hope, courage, and faith.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my anchor in the storms of life. Help me to trust in Your promises and to hold onto the hope that is found in You alone. May I always remember that no matter how fierce the winds may blow, I am safe in Your arms. Strengthen my faith, and let my hope shine brightly for others to see. In your glorious name, Amen.

October 23rd 2024 – Staying True in the Face of Abandonment

“For Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica.” (2 Timothy 4:10)

In this heartbreaking moment, the Apostle Paul reflects on the painful reality of abandonment. Demas, once a close companion in ministry, chose the allure of the world over the call of God. This verse resonates deeply with many of us who have experienced moments when friends, or loved ones such as family, spouses or adult children drift away, drawn by the distractions and temptations of the world.

Paul’s words remind us that following Christ often requires perseverance, especially when faced with loneliness or betrayal. It’s easy to feel discouraged when those we love and trust abandon us or when our path feels isolated. Yet, in these moments, we are called to remember that our worth and purpose are not defined by those who leave, but by our steadfast relationship with Christ.

Abandonment can be painful, but it also presents an opportunity for growth in our relationship with Christ. Let us cling to Him, the ultimate source of our strength, and trust that He is with us, even when others are not.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to remain faithful to You, even when those around me falter or choose a different path. May I seek strength in Your presence and find comfort in Your promises. Teach me to love others as You love me, and to remain anchored in my faith, no matter the circumstances. Thank You for being my constant companion. In Your precious and glorious name, Amen.

“Take a moment to reflect on your own relationships. Are there those who have drifted away? Instead of dwelling on the loss, consider how God has remained with you, offering love and support. How can you reach out to others who might be feeling abandoned or alone, drawing them back into community and fellowship?”

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, Don’t wait! In a flash of a second it could be too late!” Click Here to read Four Simple Steps to Jesus.

October 18th 2024 –  Faith and Trust in Troubled Times

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

In these troubled times, when uncertainty clouds our days and fear seems to shadow our hearts, we are reminded of the unshakable truth: God is our refuge and strength. When everything around us feels unstable, God remains the firm foundation on which we can stand. He is not distant or disconnected from our struggles; He is an ever-present help in the midst of them.

Faith is not just a feeling; it is a choice to trust in God, even when circumstances seem overwhelming. It’s easy to have faith when life is smooth, but true trust is forged in the fires of hardship. In these moments, when we can’t see the way forward, God calls us to lean not on our own understanding, but to trust in Him with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5).

Our world may be full of challenges—sickness, division, loss, and fear—but God’s promises remain constant. He has not abandoned us. In fact, it is in the storm that we often feel His presence most powerfully. Like the disciples on the boat in the raging sea, we too can call on Jesus, knowing that He has the power to calm the storm. And even if the storm doesn’t stop right away, He walks with us through it.

The Lord invites us to lay down our burdens at His feet. Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). This is not just a promise for some distant future—it is a promise for today. When we trust in Him, we find peace that transcends all understanding, a peace that anchors our souls in the midst of chaos.

It’s in these times that we are reminded of God’s sovereignty. He is in control, even when the world seems out of control. His ways are higher than our ways, and His plans for us are good. We may not understand everything that is happening, but we can rest in the assurance that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

“What are the burdens and fears you need to lay at the feet of Jesus today? How can you remind yourself to trust in God’s goodness, even when you can’t see the way forward?”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, in these troubled times, help me to trust You more deeply. I know that You are my refuge and strength, and I choose to place my faith in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. Give me peace, Lord, and help me to rest in Your promises. Guide me with Your loving hand and remind me that You are always near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In the face of uncertainty, trust in God. He is with you, always faithful, and His love never fails.

If you do not know Jesus personally, I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. Jesus loves us and wants to help us through the storms and struggles in life. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior please click here 4 Simple Steps to Jesus

July 31st 2023 – Be Still and Know that HE is God

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it can be challenging to find moments of stillness and peace. We often find ourselves caught up in the noise of the world, constantly bombarded by distractions and responsibilities. However, in the midst of it all, God calls us to pause and find solace in His presence.

Psalm 46:10-11 says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

These verses remind us of the importance of stillness and seeking God’s presence. In the quiet moments of our lives, we can experience His divine calmness, reassurance, and guidance. It is in the stillness that we come to truly know and understand God’s character, His faithfulness, and His sovereignty over all things.

When we take the time to be still, to cease striving and worrying, we create space for God to work within us. In the stillness, we can hear His gentle whisper, guiding us, comforting us, and reminding us of His unfailing love for us. It is in these moments that our faith is strengthened, and we find the courage to face the challenges that lie ahead.

God invites us to lay down our burdens, to release control, and to trust in His perfect plan. He longs to be exalted not only in our lives but also among the nations and throughout the whole earth. As we experience His presence and peace, we become vessels of His love and light, spreading it to those around us.

I encourage you to find a quiet place, free from distractions, and spend time in stillness before God. Breathe deeply, allowing His peace to fill your heart. Be reminded that He is with you, that He is your refuge and strength, and that He is always in control. Take comfort in the assurance that you are loved and cherished by the Almighty God.

May the words of Psalm 46:10-11 resonate within your spirit, leading you to a deeper understanding of God’s character and a greater trust in His unfailing presence. May you find solace in the stillness, knowing that He is God, and in Him, you will always find rest for your soul.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, In the midst of the chaos and uncertainties that surround us, we come before You with grateful hearts. Your Word in Psalm 46:10-11 reminds us to be still and know that You are God. We acknowledge that in the stillness, we find comfort, strength, and unwavering faith.

Lord, help us to quiet our hearts and minds, to let go of our worries, and to trust in Your perfect plan. Grant us the wisdom to surrender our anxieties and fears to You, knowing that You are in control of every situation. As we submit to Your authority, we find peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we recognize that You are exalted among the nations, and Your glory extends to the ends of the earth. May Your name be praised and lifted high in every corner of the world. Use us, Your children, as instruments of Your love, grace, and mercy. Help us to reflect Your light in a darkened world and to point others towards Your everlasting hope.

In the stillness, we find solace in Your presence. Your Spirit whispers words of comfort, assurance, and guidance. Strengthen our faith as we listen attentively to Your voice. Give us the courage to step out in obedience, trusting that You will be our fortress and refuge.

We thank You, Lord, for being our constant companion. We rejoice in knowing that You are always with us, even in the midst of trials and challenges. Your unfailing love sustains us, and Your mighty power upholds us. May we never lose sight of Your faithfulness as we navigate through life’s storms.

As we meditate on these verses, Lord, deepen our understanding of who You are. Teach us to rely on Your strength rather than our own. Help us to surrender our desires and plans at Your feet, seeking Your will above all else. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

If you do not know Jesus personally in your life, please consider the love and forgiveness that Jesus offers each and every one of us freely. He has personally changed my life..

Jesus Christ says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20)

The Bible promises eternal life to all who receive Christ: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13)

If you have not asked Jesus into your life you can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith through prayer.

Prayer is just talking with God. He knows your heart, so don’t worry about getting your words just right. Here is a suggested prayer to guide you:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If you have done this, then congratulations! (Luke 15:7) says that when one sinner accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Saviour the angels rejoice. So there’s a party going on in heaven right now over your decision! Remember this date as your “second birthday,” the day you were born into a new life in Christ! You have God’s Word that he answered your prayer.

July 24th 2023 – Navigating Crossroads

Psalm 25:4 – “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.”

In our journey of faith, we often find ourselves at crossroads, unsure of which path to take or what decisions to make. It is during these times that we can turn to the Lord, just as the psalmist did, and cry out, “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.”

The psalmist’s plea is a humble admission that we, as human beings, can easily become lost and confused without the guidance of our Heavenly Father. We acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Therefore, the first step towards finding direction in our lives is to surrender ourselves to Him and seek His wisdom.

Our God is not a distant deity who is uninterested in our affairs. On the contrary, He desires to be intimately involved in every aspect of our lives. He longs for us to seek His guidance and rely on His wisdom. When we come before Him with an open heart, ready to receive His instruction, He will not disappoint us.

As we meditate on this verse, let us consider the ways in which God can guide us. Firstly, He can show us His ways through His Word, the Bible. The Scriptures contain timeless truths that provide us with principles for living a godly life. By studying and meditating on His Word, we gain insight into His character and His desires for us.

Secondly, God guides us through His Holy Spirit. When we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, He becomes our counselor, teacher, and guide. He speaks to our hearts, giving us nudges, promptings, and convictions that lead us on the right path. Our part is to cultivate a sensitive spirit and listen attentively to His gentle whispers.

Lastly, God guides us through the wise counsel of fellow believers. He places people in our lives who can offer godly advice and perspectives. Seeking wisdom from trusted mentors, pastors, or friends who are grounded in the Word can provide clarity and direction when we are facing difficult decisions.

As we pray the psalmist’s prayer, let us approach God with humility, recognizing our need for His guidance. Let us open our hearts and minds to His teachings, eagerly desiring to follow His ways and walk on His paths. May we surrender our own plans and trust in His perfect plan for our lives.

Let us commit to seeking God’s guidance in every area of our lives. Let us lean on His Word, the Holy Spirit, and the wisdom of fellow believers. As we do so, we can have confidence that He will lead us on the right path, even when it may be difficult or unclear. Trust in His faithfulness, knowing that His ways are always good and perfect

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before You today seeking Your guidance and wisdom. Show me Your ways, Lord, and teach me Your paths. I recognize that without You, I am lost and confused. Help me to trust in Your leading and surrender my own desires to follow Your perfect plan. Speak to me through Your Word, Your Holy Spirit, and the wise counsel of fellow believers. Guide my steps, Jesus, and may I walk in Your truth. I pray in Your precious name, Amen.

July 15th 2023 – God’s Perfect Plan

Have you ever experienced moments in life that felt so perfectly orchestrated, so divinely timed, that you couldn’t help but recognize it as a divine appointment? These encounters are not mere coincidences but rather glimpses of God’s guiding hand in our lives. Today, let us reflect on the beauty and significance of these divine appointments.

Proverbs 16:9 – “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

In our journey of faith, it’s easy to become consumed with our own plans and ambitions. We meticulously map out our lives, striving for control and certainty. However, God’s ways are higher than ours, and He often has a greater purpose in mind. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that while we may plan our course, it is the Lord who establishes our steps.

Divine appointments are those extraordinary moments when God graciously interrupts our plans, leading us to encounters that transform our lives and the lives of others. They may manifest as unexpected conversations, chance meetings, or divine interventions in seemingly insignificant circumstances. These appointments are not random; they are carefully orchestrated by our loving Heavenly Father who knows the desires of our hearts and the paths we need to walk.

When we encounter a divine appointment, it is vital to have eyes of faith that recognize God’s hand at work. These moments carry profound meaning and provide us with an opportunity to grow in our relationship with Him. They remind us that God is intimately involved in every aspect of our lives, guiding us towards His perfect plan.

Moreover, divine appointments also call us to be vessels of God’s love and grace. As we remain open and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can become instruments of blessing in the lives of others. Just as Philip was obedient to the divine appointment with the Ethiopian eunuch, we too can be used by God to share His truth, offer comfort, and extend a helping hand.

Let us approach each day with a sense of expectancy, knowing that God may have a divine appointment in store for us. As we surrender our plans and trust in His providence, we allow Him to lead us on extraordinary paths that align with His purpose.

May we be diligent in recognizing and embracing these divine appointments, for they are precious gifts from our Heavenly Father. Let us commit ourselves to prayer, asking God to grant us discernment and wisdom to recognize and respond to His divine interventions.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and awe for the divine appointments You have orchestrated in our lives. We acknowledge that Your ways are higher than ours, and You have a perfect plan for each of us. Thank You for the times when You have interrupted our plans and led us to encounters that have changed our lives.

Lord, we pray for open hearts and minds to recognize these divine appointments when they come. Help us to discern Your leading and guidance in every situation. Give us the wisdom to understand that these appointments are not mere coincidences but divine interventions orchestrated by Your loving hand.

Lord, we surrender our plans and ambitions to You. We confess that we often fall into the trap of seeking control and certainty. Help us to trust Your providence and have faith that You are working all things together for our good.

As You lead us into divine appointments, Lord, equip us to be vessels of Your love and grace. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may speak words of encouragement and truth to those we encounter. Give us the discernment to listen attentively and respond with compassion and empathy.

May our lives reflect Your love and light in the midst of these divine encounters. Help us to be sensitive to the needs of others, offering a helping hand and a listening ear. Use us, Father, to be instruments of Your peace, comfort, and hope.

Lord, we humbly ask that You continue to guide our steps and establish our paths. We trust in Your divine timing and Your perfect plan for our lives. As we walk in faith, grant us the courage to embrace the unexpected appointments You have in store for us. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

July 4th 2023 – Celebrating Independence

On this glorious day, as we commemorate the independence of our beloved nation, let us take a moment to reflect on the significance of freedom through a Christian lens.

As Americans, we cherish the principles of liberty and justice for all. But as followers of Christ, we understand that true freedom extends beyond earthly boundaries. It is an inner liberation of the soul, granted by our Savior, Jesus Christ.

In (Galatians 5:1), the apostle Paul reminds us, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” Through his sacrifice on the cross, Jesus broke the chains of sin and granted us eternal salvation. His love and grace have given us the ultimate freedom, freeing us from the bondage of guilt and shame.

Let us not take this spiritual freedom for granted. As we celebrate our nation’s independence, let us also remember to give thanks to God for the spiritual freedom we still enjoy.

Today, let our hearts be filled with gratitude for the countless blessings we receive as Americans and as believers. Let us remember to pray for our country’s real leaders, that they may govern with wisdom and seek justice for all people not just a political party.

As fireworks light up the sky, may they remind us of the light of Christ that shines within us. Let us share this light with others, spreading love, compassion, and unity in our communities.

Have a blessed and joyous 4th of July, celebrating the freedom we have in Christ and the freedom we enjoy as Americans!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

On this special day, we come before you with hearts full of gratitude and thanksgiving. We thank you for the blessings you have bestowed upon our nation and for the freedom we enjoy as Americans.

Lord, we recognize that our freedom was not achieved without sacrifice. We remember and honor the brave men and women who fought for the independence of our country. We ask that you bless them and their families, and may their sacrifice never be forgotten.

We also thank you for the freedom we have in Christ. Jesus, you laid down your life for our sins, and through your resurrection, you granted us eternal freedom. We are grateful for the forgiveness and redemption we find in you. May we always cherish and embrace this spiritual liberty.

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate, we ask for your presence to be with us. Fill our hearts with joy and unity, as we remember the values this great nation was founded upon. Help us to live out these values, promoting justice, equality, and love for one another.

Lord, we pray for our leaders, both in government and in the church. Grant them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions that impact our nation and our communities. May they always seek your guidance and strive for the well-being of all people.

In the midst of the celebrations, may we never forget those who are less fortunate, the marginalized, and the oppressed. Help us to be vessels of your love and compassion, reaching out to those in need and working towards a world where everyone can experience true freedom.

Finally, Lord, we lift up our nation to you. Bless America, protect it from harm, and guide it towards unity and peace. Help us to once again be a beacon of hope, prosperity and righteousness in a broken world.

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus, who sets us free and grants us true independence.

Amen.

If you have never experienced the love of God through a relationship with Jesus then come to Him today. He will never turn you away.

March 28th 2020 – Pruning and Bearing More Fruit

“For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.” (Romans 7:5)

The technological advancements made by mankind in the last century or even the last 20 years are astounding. Yet with all our technology, we still have to wait for lettuce to ripen and for olives to mature. Lettuce ripens a month and a half after planting, but for an olive the wait is at least four years. Some of us, like the lettuce, are maturing quickly while others, like olives, are improving more slowly. Something changed in you when you were saved, and still… God is making changes to you.

“But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.” (Romans 7:6)

We should all be bearing fruit. There may be times that you need to endure pruning before you bear fruit. Pruning redirects energy to the right places. If you are not being fruitful, maybe you need to redirect energy toward the Lord. Don’t just come to church, be the church. Be praying, giving, serving – joining hands with your church to achieve something far greater than any one of us could achieve alone.

“Christianity is not do-it-yourself religion. Its a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and fellowship with the family.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for loving me. Give me the desire to grow in righteousness through the washing of Your Word, in serving You and prayer. Help me to love and serve others in the place where You want me to grow and bear good fruit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

March 9th 2020 – Waiting On Prayers To Be Answered

He said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.” (Daniel 10:12)

There is an interesting story in the book of Daniel offers us a unique, behind-the scenes look at what happens when we pray. The Bible tells us that Daniel was praying and that his prayer reached Heaven. God heard Daniel’s prayer and sent an angel with a special message for Daniel. But the angel who was sent from Heaven was held up for twenty one days because he was engaged in spiritual warfare with a powerful demon spirit. As a result, God then sent the archangel. Michael (You might say that Michael is like the “Big Kahuna” among angels.) Michael was sent, who obviously delt with the demon swiftly, and the answer was brought to Daniel. But it took twenty-one days for the answer to get there.

Sometimes when God doesn’t answer our prayers as quickly as we would like Him to, we think that He is not listening or He letting us down. We need to understand that delays aren’t necessarily denials.

When we pray and don’t see an answer as quickly as we would like, it may be a result of circumstances that we can’t see. There might even be a spiritual battle raging behind the scenes. Maybe you’ve been praying for someone to come to know the Lord. Maybe you’ve been asking God to heal you. Perhaps you’ve been asking the Lord for the blessing of husband or wife. Don’t give up. Don’t be discouraged. Keep praying. Jesus tells us to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, and the door would be opened. So be persistent. And watch what God will do.

The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who continue to seek Him.” (Lamentations 3:25)

No matter how long it takes, when God works, It’s always worth the wait.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for remaining faithful to me. Help me have hope and expectancy as I wait for Your answers to my prayers. And during the extended times when you are waiting for the perfect moment to answer or just waiting on me to be ready, may I contine to give you my praises and wait with a heart of gratitude because your Grace is more then sufficent for me. I thank you for Leading me and Loving me and Blessing me everyday with life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 7th 2020 – Jesus My Healer

“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you” (Deuteronomy 7:15)

Our Father God is not the author of sickness and disease.  He is the author of health and well-being. Our Father is looking for ways to bring healing to us and not take it away from us.  When we do a good study of the scriptures you will find over and over that our God is a God who heals His children.

The Bible states that Jesus and the Father are one and everywhere that Jesus went as He walked this earth, He never once put a sickness on someone.  NO!  He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.  So we see that sickness is from the devil and it came at the fall.

When satan came and brought fear into this world and all its deadly works, God sent Jesus to destroy all of them for us. What a Father we serve.  He is the Great I Am, not I Want To Be.  He is at work in us, helping us and guiding us to bring a cure. Do you really think that the devil would give us doctors and nurses and people that can help us?

You see if it was up to the devil he would keep us sick and miserable.  But our Father has given us healing through His Word.  He has given great medicines and doctors, all because He loves us and wants us well.

So today, don’t accept anything from the devil.  Accept everything that is good and comes from God your Heavenly Father Who loves you and gave His all for you. Learn His ways and the light will always expose the darkness of the devil.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before you today in need of your healing hand. In you all things are possible. Hold my heart within yours, and renew my mind, body, and soul. In the midst of chaos, I am lost, but I am singing. You gave us life, and you also give us the gift of infinite joy. Give me the strength to move forward on the path you’ve laid out for me. Guide me towards better health, physically, mentally and spiritually. Give me the wisdom to identify those you’ve placed around me to help me get better In your precious name I pray, Amen.
