November 9th 2015 – What we do?

images (15)

“I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must turn from their sins and turn to God–and prove they have changed by the good things they do.” (Acts 26:20)

We often describe our Christian walk by the things we don’t do. We don’t drink. We don’t smoke pot. We don’t cuss. In fact, for some of us, not doing these things is an incredible testimony of God’s supernatural work in our lives. But we should also consider the things that we do.

In (Matthew 22:37-40), Jesus told us that we should love God and love others. Friend, you are not an accident; you were created with a divine purpose to be a blessing to others. You were created to hear the call, respond and be fruitful. In short, you were created to help God change the world. We know the things we shouldn’t do because we would be ashamed of them. But why are we not ashamed of the things we don’t do? Jesus called the man who did not use his talent wicked and lazy. If you fail to do something, you choose to fail at God’s plan for your life.

(James 2:17-18) “This is faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

(James 4:17) “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

Please take a moment and reflect. What are you doing to spread Gods love?

It is what we ‘do’ that shows we are followers of Jesus, as well as what we ‘don’t’ do.

Prayer

Dear God, I love You and want to serve You by serving others. Please give me eyes to see where and how I may be a blessing to others. Give me love for those around me. Please forgive me for times when I’ve done nothing. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen

Invitation

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you always.”

If you prayed this prayer please email me at roblavallee@gmail.com i would like to personally pray for you.

November 8th 2015 – Planting Seeds

download (6)

“Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24)

What does a farmer do when he’s got a barren field that’s producing no income? He doesn’t complain about it. He doesn’t even often pray about it! He just goes out and starts planting some seed, because nothing is going to happen until he plants the seed. He can pray all he wants, but it’s not going to produce fruit. He’s got to plant some seed.

Some of you think you’re waiting on God. You think you’re waiting on God for that job. You think you’re waiting on God for a husband. You think you’re waiting on God for the windfall. God says, “You think you’re waiting on me? I’m waiting on you! I’m waiting for you to plant a seed.”

Everything in life starts as a seed — a relationship, a marriage, a business, a church. And nothing happens until the seed is planted. Why does God require us to plant a seed? Because planting is an act of faith. You take what you’ve got, and you give it away. That takes an act of faith! And it brings glory to God.

Jesus described this principle of sowing and reaping when he was trying to explain why he came to Earth to die on the cross. In John 12:24 Jesus said, “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (NIV). Jesus was saying, “Millions of people will be saved and go to Heaven because of my death and Resurrection. I’m going to plant a seed, and the seed is going to be my life.”

Here’s the principle of sowing and reaping: Whenever you have a need, you plant a seed. Whatever it is you need — more time, more energy, more money, more support, more relationships, more wisdom,  just plant a seed. If you need more time, give more time to your kids. If you need more money, give it away to someone who needs it. If you need more wisdom, share what wisdom you have with others. Give yourself away!

It may not make sense to you to give away something that you need more of, but that is exactly the kind of attitude that God wants to bless and that will produce fruit in your life. When you have a need, don’t gripe about it, don’t wish about it, and you don’t even have to pray about it,  just plant a seed.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the miracle of seeds, everything that is alive started out as seeds. I praise you for the miracle of life which you bring forth from the seeds we plant. Please bless the seeds that we plant, seeds of hope, seeds of love and especially the seeds that we plant about trusting You Lord. I thank you for giving me the heart and desire to be a sower of seeds… please continue to bless this ministry and the precious souls that you reach through it.

I am truley amazed Lord that what started out as a seed to start this ministry has blossomed into nearly 3000 views each day from over 30 countries. You are so good God. Thank you for loving each and everyone of us…in your glorious name Amen.

Invitation

Considder each and everyone of these devotions as a seed that has been sown. As you read along, Gods scriptures are being planted in your heart like seeds. I have the confidence and the faith that a harvest is being sown and that the miracle of these seeds will continue to multiply.  One seed can produce tens of thousands of trees over time.. the next time you hold a seed, know you are holding a miracle from God in your hand.

If you are seperated from God, I pray that you come to know Jesus or come back to Jesus today.  Click Here to learn how.

November 7th 2015 – That Wasn’t God!

images (10)

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;” (Job 19:25)

“Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.” (Hebrews 7:25)

In the midst of Job’s pain, God is using Job more than he could ever imagine.

Job thought God was punishing him. It wasn’t God punishing Job, it was satan, the enemy. You have an enemy of your soul as well. The enemy wants you to blame God for things that he or his minions, or the world, or a demon influenced friend has done. Ask yourself right now… Is there anything I am blaming God for that someone else might have done? Maybe a loved one taken by a DUI driver. That was not God! Pain caused by a drug addict’s robbery, That wasn’t God. Maybe other places?

Job thought God was hurting him when it was the enemy. As a matter of fact, when the enemy was attacking, God was protecting Job and told the enemy he could NOT take Job’s life. May God reveal any other places where we harbor any sort of resentment or blame on the God who has been protecting us the whole time. An accident? A tragedy? No doubt somehow these things could have always been worse. Often I am sure we have a temporary setback for our greater good. Like we get stuck in a traffic jam, because a few miles up, there was a accident we would have been a part of. So many believers reported on 9/11 they stayed home that day. Please dont get me wrong, I am not saying those that were killed were not believers. I am saying many believers were not in the buildings or in the air who normally would have been. My very own wife was a flight stewardess for American Airlines. Living in DC her scheduled flight was the plane that het the Pentagon. Person after person including my wife said, ‘something led them’. They took a day off or something had them out of the office half an hour before it happened. Know this, that when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and your Savior, you became in covenant with a God who is faithful and gracious and merciful and loving, who neither slumbers nor sleeps and will give His angels an assignment of being with you and protecting you.

(Psalm 91:9-16)

9 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10 no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! 14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. 15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. 16 I will reward them with a long lifeand give them my salvation.

In the midst of the sufferings of Job, Job focused on the One thing or One being that mattered and could change things. It wasn’t himself. It was Jesus, My Redeemer. In the midst of your trials go to Jesus, your redeemer, who lives forever to hear from you, who wants to forgive you.

In the midst of our sufferings, we should focus on the One thing or One being that matters and could change things. Jesus.

Prayer

Dear Lord, Many times we forget to say thank you for all the blessings and we often blame you for things you didn’t do. God, thank you for being good to us. God, thank you for being good to me. I am sorry for blaming you for accidents or tragedies or the betrayal of others. Thank You for protecting me from so many things, many of which I won’t even know about, until we arrive in heaven. Thank You for Your mercies and forgiveness which are new every morning. Thank You for your angels protecting us. May they continue to protect each of our loved ones. In the Name of Jesus, Amen

Invitation,

November 6th 2015 – Life Unhindered

download (4)

“If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 9:12 )

Paul had given up everything for the sake of the Gospel. He had been imprisoned, beaten, shipwrecked and snake-bit, but he still remained steadfast in declaring Christ crucified. Even in his letter to the church of Corinth, we see a man who is willing to continue the race even if all support falls out from underneath him. How could he do this? Simple. He knew the God He served.

When we step out in obedience to God, we don’t always know what may happen next. He may lead us to share the Gospel with someone even though we don’t know how they will respond. Sometimes, we may give to our church while not knowing how it will affect our budget for the week. Whatever the situation, there is one unchanging element – God. He is still the same God who provided for Paul despite the lack of those who gave. He’s still the same God who protected Paul while adrift at sea. He is the same God who gave His own Son to die for our sins in the ultimate act of love. My friend, because He is God, we can step out in faith and experience a life like no other. Because He is God we have the freedom to serve Him with all our hearts.

When we give our lives to God, only then do we discover maximum freedom. 🙂

Prayer

Heavenly father, Thank You for all that You have done for me. Thank You for Jesus and the gift of salvation. Lord, because of that gift, I am now free to serve You with all my heart and soul. Remove the fear and doubt in my mind. Help me to give all of my life to You and use me for the work of Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

November 5th 2015 – Sharing Your “God Story”

images (9)

“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.” (Acts 26:16)

How else could you explain the Apostle Paul’s dramatic change outside of the supernatural? You simply cannot. How could you explain your personal change outside of the supernatural? Likewise, you cannot. Your story is a powerful witness to the grace of God. Your ‘God’ story could be the very thing that leads someone to make a decision for Jesus. Have you thought about your story? Have you thought about how you would communicate it to someone else? If not, you should.

Take a few minutes and think. Who were you before you met Jesus? Who are you now? What have you seen God do with your life? Paul recognized the power of his ‘God’ story to lead others to Jesus. How are you using your story to be a witness for Jesus? No matter who you are, you can and should share your ‘God’ story.

Prayer

Dear God,

I love You. Thank You for saving me from my sins. Thank You for my ‘God’ story. Please give me the courage to share it with others. Please forgive me for the times when I should have but did not. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

November 4th 2015 – Unnecessary Obstacles

620025c5666951576e41e5eed7f6d1de

“For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” (Romas 5:6)

What do you have to do in order to be righteous with God? Do you have to die a martyr’s death before God will allow you into paradise? No. Do your good deeds need to outweigh your bad deeds for God to allow you into heaven? No. Do you have to be at peace with nature when you die so that God will absorb you into Heaven? No. What if you have done enough works, will God then allow you into Heaven? No. Man pridefully wants to play a part in his salvation. We invent hurdles to jump, thinking we can earn God’s approval. I don’t want what I’ve earned because according to Romans 6:23, I’ve earned death. I need God’s grace.

(2 Corinthians 5:21) says “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

Every world religion is based on what you have to do to convince God you deserve to go to Heaven… that is, except one – Biblical Christianity. You see, the Bible tells us that God has already done everything for you. Your part is simply to accept Jesus’ gift to you. He did the work, dying on the cross for your sins. Friend, you don’t have to reach for God because He’s already reaching out for you. Please don’t reject Him.

Prayer

Dear Jesus:

Thank You for dying for me so that I could be forgiven. Thank You for being resurrected so I could have a new life. I ask You to forgive me of all of my sins. Lord, I have done wrong things, and I am sorry. Thank You for Your forgiveness. Please give me the power to live for You all the days of my life. Amen.

Congratulations, you just made the best decision you will ever make or recommitted yourself to the greatest cause…the cause of Christ. If you just made that decision, please email me at roblavallee@gmail.com and please let me know.

Please forward this to anyone if you are unsure of their faith in Jesus

November 3rd 2015 – A Battle of the Mind

download (1)

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

The battle we face as Christians is real, and it is often very difficult. We also see in Scripture that spiritual battles is most often fought in our own minds. In the verses above, notice the words used to describe the battle. He uses words like “argument”, “knowledge”, “thought” and “imaginations”. This is why studying the Bible is so important. The more we know God’s Word, the more we are equipped to respond correctly. We can often see this really well in those moments we are corrected.

The moment we are corrected over something our mind instantly leaps to our defense. Rather than honestly considering the circumstance being presented, we usually respond by either explaining why it’s not our fault, making an excuse for why it’s OK, or we simply point out what is wrong with the person correcting us. This is the same tactic Adam and Eve used in the garden, and is something we need to guard our minds against. Instead of responding in the flesh, we can take a moment, pray and respond rightly.

Law Enforcement and Military personell take time to train for various situations they may encounter in the field. So schedule time to get in Gods word so that you can bettter prepare how to handle spiritual battles take place in our minds.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for giving me Your Word so that I am better able to know how to live. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I can respond in love at all times. Guard my mind against the powers of the enemy, and help me to think on godly things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Invitation

Jesus loves you and cares for you. He can and will help you in these situations. Take a moment to considder asking for His help and make a commitment to study His word. Its as easy as saying this in prayer, (Jesus I wish to know you, i believe You died on the cross for atonement for my sins. Please come into my life and help me. November 2nd 2015 – The Eyes of God

images (7)

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him…” (2 Chronicles 16:9)

God has eyes?  Well, according to this verse He does.  And what does He do with them?   He looks.  Looks for what, you might ask.  Is He looking for me to make a mistake?  No, He looks for those who love Him and whose heart is towards Him. He looks for those He can pour out His blessings on.

Our Heavenly Father is a good God Who loves us and wants to bless us.  However, He can only do this when our hearts are right.  If our hearts are full of pride, fear, hurt, it’s hard for God to pour out His blessing.  Someone who is keeping his heart right before Him or as this verse says, whose heart is loyal to Him, He can bless abundantly.

That’s the kind of heart I want and I endeavor to have.  How about you?  Make that decision today to have a pure heart because Jesus said in  Matthew 5:8 (NKJV) “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”.

Do you want God to see you, and do you want to see God? Then keep a right heart. When you mess up ‘fess up.  Don’t let it sit there for days and week and months. Make a decision to keep your life pure before your Father who loves you and is looking out for you.  Never let pride or hurts hold you back. Look deep within today. Talk to God.  Let Him know when it hurts or when it’s difficult.  He knows, yet, Jesus said to ask Him and talk to Him.  So no matter what’s going on today or what someone has done to you today, LET IT GO AND LET GOD!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Today I look within.  I look at my heart and I’m going to be truthful.  I’m not going to cover it up and say, well, that’s just me.  No, I want a heart that You God my Father can bless.  So today, I start a new a day in a new way. Thank you for loving and caring for me Lord. I ask for the strenght to break strongholds in my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

November 1st 2015 – I am the Head and not the Tail.

download

“And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.” (Deuteronomy 28:13)

When our Heavenly Father states that He wants us to be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, I believe Him.  How about you?  You see these things from the Word of God cannot be real to us until we believe them and say them about ourselves.

In (Rom.10:9-10) it shows us how to be saved, and this works the same with everything in our lives.  We need to confess the Word and believe it, for it to manifest in our lives.  Too many people just want it to fall on them like ripe cherries off of a tree, but anything good in life must be worked on.

I have always been amazed how God didn’t make the nuts just fall for the squirrels, and how the ants store up for winter so they will have plenty to survive.  In fact all of creation has to work to get by in life and we to have to work the Word if we are going to reap the harvest of it.

Let’s not be lazy or be fooled into thinking that whatever will be, will be.  No this verse says that for us to be the head and not the tail and above only and not beneath, we need to heed the commandments of the Lord and observe them.  Well the commandment that Jesus gave us is to love God and to love people and if we do these two things we will fulfill all the rest.

So today, obey the voice of the Lord and speak over yourself what He says about you.  If He calls you the head, then the head you are.  And if he calls you above, then start living above.  Remember, God cannot lie, so if He said it, then I need to believe it and say it and watch it come to pass in my life.

Heavenly Father, Today, I declare that I am the head and not the tail, that I am above only and not beneath. This what You Lord says about me throught Your word. I love You and praise You in all things Lord. You know my prayers. Thank You for making me the way I am. In Your precious name Jesus, Amen!

October 31st 2015 – Its our Responsibility to Pray

images (5)

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God is looking for a separate people, a people set apart unto Himself, a special people who will not get all caught up in the things of this world, but will be a treasure unto Him.  In this verse we see God talking to us and not to the evil ones in the world.  He is saying that “If my people”, that’s me and you.  We are the people of God and if we, the people of God, are doing things that are not pleasing to Him, then we need to change some stuff or we’re not going to see healing in our land.

If you read the book of Daniel, when he came to pray to God, He didn’t say that it is everybody else’s fault.  He said we have sinned.  He included himself in the sins of the nation, and here God is telling us to do the same thing.  Look again at what it says. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”.

God is looking for not a perfect people, but ones that would humble themselves, pray, seek Him and turn from their wicked ways.  The amazing thing is that if we would do this, God will bring healing to our land.  So this verse shows us that we are responsible for what’s going on in the world. We need to do our part and if we do, God will do the rest.

So today, let’s take a few minutes and ask God, our dear Father, to show us things in our lives that He wants us to change.  Let’s be open to the voice of the Holy Spirit within us and make a decision to walk in His ways.  Not only will it bless us but it will bless a lost and hurting world.

Heavenly Father, through Your Holy Spirit, reveal to me the things that are hindering me from being a blessing to this world.  I want to be able to reach even further with this website so that We can help the hurting, share Your word and introduce them to You. In Jesus Precious name, Amen
