“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10:28)

I want you to know how safe and secure you are in God’s presence. If you know Jesus personally, You are on your way to heaven, nothing can prevent you from reaching that destination. There you will see Him face to face, and your Joy will be off the charts by any earthly standards. Even now, you are never separated from Him, though you must see God through eyes of faith. He will walk with you till the end of time, and onward into eternity.

Although His presence is a guaranteed promise, that does not necessarily change your feelings. When you forget that He is with you, you may experience loneliness or fear. It is through awareness of His Presence that Peace displaces negative feelings. Practice discipline of walking consciously with Jesus through each and every day.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your presence in my life. I Thank you for walking with me and giving me peace. I surrender each day to you that you will use me to help others get to know you. As I serve You, help me to be ready for the battles. May I look to You for strength and wisdom. Give me patience and help me to endure to the end. Teach me in the midst of the battle to trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“This is what the LORD says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: ‘Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns.'” (Jeremiah 4:3)

If you have every planted a garden, you know that seed does not do well on hard ground. No matter how many seeds thrown to the ground, they will just bounce around until they are either eaten or blown away. In order for the seeds to take root and produce fruit, they must actually enter into the ground which means the ground must first be plowed.

Plowing is not easy. It takes time and energy to break open the dry ground in order to expose and prepare the soil underneath. The same is true with our hearts. Apart from God, our hearts are sun dried and barren, but when we begin honestly looking into the Word of God, the Holy Spirit begins plowing our heart so that we will receive the Truths of God. Just like gardening, it can be hard but it is worth the effort. The more we take God’s Word to heart, the more God digs out rocks of sin and pride, while planting great promises. God desires to see our lives filled with the fruit of His Spirit, but we must first be willing to be broken. Don’t fight it, embrace it, and you will find great joy awaiting the other end.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the love that You have shown me and the promise that You can make me new. Give me the strength to trust You as you plow my heart. Open my heart to understanding and my mind to your Truth. Plant in me all that You desire and use me to be a vessel of your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is God’s will for your life? That’s the million dollar question, isn’t it? Well, it’s really very simple. You see, many times when we ponder God’s will for our lives, we get very self-focused and miss the point. God’s will for our lives isn’t so much about us as it is about Him.Is living for God that hard for us to do after He died for us?

God revealed His will for all through His Son, Jesus. Through repentance and forgiveness, we can live a life of service and sacrifice. It is God’s will for you to love others and be a living testimony to the world. Do you have a concern, care and compassion for a world of people dying without Jesus? God’s will for your life is to lead others to salvation in Jesus. Be a steward of the Gospel by sowing into the lives of others, and you will see God’s will in action in your life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for loving me. I am so grateful that You did not leave me to live my life on my own. Thank You for having a plan for my life and revealing it through Your Word. Lord, I confess that I have tried to live my life my own way, and I am sorry. I want Your will for my life. Lord, help me to live out the plan You have for me. I give You my life to do Your will in Your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you’ve been alive for any amount of time, you’ve probably witnessed the strange things people will do to be ‘unique and different’. From hairstyles and color, to clothes and even body art, people want to be noticed for their differences. Because of this attitude that people have, many people will claim that the church leads to nothing but a bunch of the some old thing. Today’s message is to inform you that any church that is living biblically will not be building of uniformity.. God’s house it is not a copying machine.

In fact, God’s Word describes the body of Christ as different people with unique talents and abilities coming together with a single purpose in mind. Just as God created the vast array of flowers that brighten our world, He has created each and every one of us with special gifts that can be used for His glory. What a beautiful picture of unity with diversity. So instead of seeking out differences to hold against each other, let us use our differences in an effort to build God’s Kingdom. As the world looks on and sees us walk in loving unity, they will wonder how, and we can simply say, “Jesus.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the special gifts and abilities You have given to me. Father, I pray that You give the “The Church” a heart of unity. Help us to use our differences for Your Kingdom and not to allow the enemy to cause division. May my heart and mind be set on You and the Gospel. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Some of you admit I was not a burden to you. But others still think I was sneaky and took advantage of you by trickery. But how? Did any of the men I sent to you take advantage of you?” (2 Corinthians 12:16-17)

You can’t stop it from happening. You can try your hardest & do everything in your power to keep it from occurring but one day, it’ll happen. One day, someone is going to accuse you of something. Just look at Jesus. He lived a perfect life, healed people, raised the dead and taught about God’s love and yet, the religious leaders accused Him of all sorts of things. If it happened to Jesus, then it can happen to any of us.

So how do we deal with accusations when we cannot control those who accuse us? We control ourselves and live in such a way that when people accuse us, other people dismiss it as a lie. After all, what use is an accusation when your life speaks of integrity, love and charity? It may not stop accusations, but it will remove some of their power to destroy. Live for Christ and allow Him to defend you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I know there are areas of my life that I can live with greater integrity and love. Help me to live for You in such a way that the accusations of others fall flat. Help me to be a witness to everyone who may be watching my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are in a battle. It’s all around us. Your family, friends, Pastor and church are in the battle. The enemy of your soul is out to divide and destroy, and if you allow your guard to drop, you will fall victim to his perilous plans. Satan is not stupid. He is going to go after those on the fringe of fellowship. Like a lion that picks off the young, the sick and the weak, he is watching to see who wanders outside the flock. Be mindful of yourself, your family and friends. Is someone lagging behind? Now is the time to encourage them to get back into the flock. Are you wandering? I tell you the truth, you are in danger of being picked off. Don’t let that happen! Ask the Lord for protection from the enemy and his scheme’s.

“We are in a battle over our souls and the souls of those we love and care about.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for loving me. Lord, give me the wisdom and discernment to recognize when I have dropped my guard. Help me to encourage my family, friends and co-workers in the midst of trouble. When the battles come, help me to find rest and protection in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold–I speak foolishly–I am bold also.” [2 Corinthians 10:21))

How do you treat those who are struggling? Whether it’s those at your work, a server at a restaurant, a  friend or family member, how you treat them tells a lot about yourself. Why is that the case? Simply because those who are struggling or are weak are not in a position to help us or pay us back. When we care for the less fortunate or minister to those who are barely hanging on, we do so knowing there is no physical benefit. The opposite is also true if we refuse to help those in need because there is no benefit for us, it helps clarify our motives.

In 2 Corinthians 11, Paul begins sharing everything he endured for the sake of others. He did so because his motives were being questioned, and yet, he was able to clearly say that he endured all that pain so that the lost would hear the good news. Friend, this is what I desire for my own life, and I can imagine you feel the same. Today is the day to look around for those who may be weak, poor or hurting. Let’s serve them with the love of Christ, so that they would be blessed. It may cost us something, but it is worth it in the end.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Forgive me for those times I have helped people with ulterior motives. Give me a heart for those who are in need and the strength to serve them. I desire to give of myself for the benefit of others, no matter the cost. Fill me with Your Spirit and teach me through Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Prayer is powerful! God hears all of our prayers, and He delights in receiving our raw, honest, passionate prayers. Prayer is key to touching God’s heart, you have the power to impact God’s heart! Many struggle with praying because they feel that their intercession is not much more than empty cries to an invisible God, who seems distant. But remember: What goes up must come down! Sometimes we can feel like our prayers shoot only as high as the ceiling and then bounce back unheard and unanswered. But God loves being in relationship with you. He promises that He will hear us and answer, because that is what friends and family do for each other. Relationship is built through spending time together and enjoying each other’s company. God made us to be in relationship with Him, and He absolutely loves it when we spend time praying and talking with Him.

As we approach God, we must remember that our ultimate goal in prayer is not to have our prayers answered, but to encounter God Himself. We do not want to treat Him like a slot machine that produces goods at our will. We are in a relationship, where fellowship and intimacy are not based upon the number of hours we “put in” with God. Rather, intimacy is the time we spend with God. Prayer cannot just be storming the gates of Heaven with a list of requests. It is an incredible honor to rest in the knowledge that the omnipotent, ever-powerful God of the Universe has one joy above all others, and that is to spend time with YOU! Prayer is the overflow of intimacy with God. As we spend time with Him in worship and thanksgiving, resting in His presence, we are refreshed in the knowledge of what Christ has done for us and the love God has for us. Our prayers become part of a continual conversation with Him as we partner with His good will for our lives and the lives around us.

Spend some time with God, focusing simply on enjoying His company. In this time, share with Him the desire of your heart.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I want to have a passion for Your presence. Please remove from me any fear of being passionately set apart for You. I ache to know You more! Teach me to pray the prayers that stir Your heart. I want to minister to You in my devotional life. I want my heart to bless Your heart and give You the love that You deserve!

NOTE….. Our prayers are powerful and effective to touch God’s heart and to destroy anything that stands in the way of His Kingdom coming.

“So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening. And some were persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.” (Acts 28:23-24)

Interesting… Paul used what part of the Bible? He used the Hebrew Scriptures. Paul used the Old Testament to show that Jesus was the Messiah; Yeshua HaMashiach in Hebrew. It’s amazing to me how many churches, pastors and Christians are willing to throw aside the Hebrew Scriptures calling them outdated or not relevant for today. We see Jesus all through the Old Testament! He’s in Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and all the way through the Psalms and into the prophets. You cannot throw out the Hebrew Scriptures without saying that Jesus is no longer relevant. Some would try to say that there are other paths to God. It is true that all paths do lead to God, but there’s only one path that leads to Heaven. Everyone will stand before God, but without Jesus, you will be eternally separated from Heaven and God at that meeting.

(John 14:6) “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Jesus did not say, “I am one of many ways.” God has provided THE way for forgiveness and restoration to Him and that way is through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus died on a cross and was resurrected from the grave for our sins.

Jesus is the way to God’s forgiveness. He’s the only way.

(Acts 4:12) “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

(Romans 10:9-10) “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for providing the means for my salvation. Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for my sins so that I can be saved. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins. Please give me the courage to be a witness for You here on earth. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4)

This is the verse that started the reformation. It is quoted in Romans, Galatians and Hebrews. We are not saved by works; we are saved by grace. In other words, the faith that does not change your life will not save your soul.

(Ephesians 2:8-10) “For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Paul is speaking of everyone who believes. Once you are forgiven, you begin to do things that honor God and in that He reveals His righteousness to those around us. Faith should be living and active. If you believe in what Jesus said, it should affect your life. You should begin loving God and loving people and you should want to go to church and hang out with other believers. These things are an overflowing of your faith. It starts with faith and overflows to good works. If you do not see good works as a result of your faith, you should be concerned. If we stand on our own righteousness then we stand ashamed. If we accept Jesus as our Savior and we stand in His righteousness, then we stand not ashamed.

“We are saved by faith alone.”

Prayer:

Dear God, Thank You for loving me and saving me by grace through faith. Thank You that my salvation is not something I have to strive for, but that it is by faith. Thank You for Your Grace. Lord, please show me opportunities to do good works in Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen
