July 15th 2025 – The Clock Is Ticking

“And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east.” (Zechariah 14:4)

“When you see all these things, know that it is near — at the doors!” (Matthew 24:33)

The Mount of Olives — Olivet — has long been a place of divine appointment. From where Jesus spoke of the end times, where He wept, prayed, ascended, and will one day return. This sacred ridge East of Jerusalem serves not just as a location, but as a timeline marker in God’s unfolding plan.

We are not called to guess dates. But we are called to know the season (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6). Jesus Himself gave us a prophetic roadmap in the Olivet Discourse — a chronological outline of events leading up to His return. Let’s consider a possible progression, based on Scripture and what we now witness globally.

A Possible Biblical Timeline of Christ’s Return

  1. Birth Pains Intensify (Matthew 24:6-8)

Wars and rumors of wars

Nation rising against nation

Famines, earthquakes, and plagues

✓ Present globally now: Ukraine, Israel-Gaza, locusts in Africa, worldwide quakes, food shortages, pandemics.

  1. Persecution of Believers (Matthew 24:9-14)

Increasing hostility toward Christians

Apostasy and betrayal

Gospel reaching all nations

✓ Ongoing now: Christian persecution is rising; the Gospel is spreading via internet and underground churches.

  1. Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15)

A coming desecration of a future temple

Linked to Daniel 9 and the rise of a global leader (Antichrist)

✓ Third Temple preparations are already underway in Jerusalem.

  1. The Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21)

A time of global upheaval like never before

✓ The groundwork is being laid — digital currencies, surveillance, global governance talks (Rev. 13)

  1. Heavenly Signs and the Return (Matthew 24:29-31)

Cosmic disturbances

Christ returns “in the clouds”

All eyes will see Him

✓ This hasn’t happened yet — but every other part of the Olivet Discourse is unfolding rapidly.

The Mount of Olives: The Anchor of the Timeline

Jesus started and will finish His earthly mission on Olivet. He taught from it, ascended from it, and will return to it. Zechariah 14:4 makes this clear: “On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives.”

This is not poetic—it’s prophetic, literal, and scheduled. And that “day” is closer now than ever.

  1. If Jesus returned this year, would I be ready?
  2. Am I living like a watchman (Ezekiel 33), warning others with love and urgency?
  3. How can I anchor my heart in hope, not fear, as the signs intensify?

“You are not watching a world falling apart — you’re watching prophecy falling into place.
Jesus is coming back — and Olivet will see His feet once again.”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You told us to watch and be ready. Help us to see the signs, discern the times, and anchor our hope in You. May we live boldly, love deeply, and share truth while it is still day. Let our lamps be full and our hearts burning with expectation. In Your heavenly name, Amen.

December 20th 2024 – Heed The Warning

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Matthew 24:42-44)

In our daily lives, we often find ourselves captivated by the warnings of the world. The weatherman’s alert about an impending storm sends us scurrying to stock up on supplies, secure our homes, and prepare for the worst. The urgency of his message is tangible; the threat is real. We understand the importance of being ready when nature’s fury approaches.

Yet, when the preacher stands before us, proclaiming that Jesus is coming again, the reaction is often starkly different. The urgency fades, and apathy may seep in. We may nod in agreement or listen politely, but how often do we truly prepare our hearts and lives for His return? The contrast is striking: one warning evokes immediate action, while the other is met with indifference.

In the Gospels, Jesus continually reminds us of His return. He urges us to be vigilant, to keep our lamps filled with oil (Matthew 25:1-13), and to live in a state of readiness. The call to prepare for His coming is not just a suggestion; it is a command. If we believe in the truth of His Word, we must recognize the gravity of His return.

As we reflect on this thought, let us ask ourselves: Are we as diligent in preparing our souls for Christ’s return as we are for a storm? Are we nurturing our faith, engaging in prayer, and actively seeking to live out His teachings? The time to prepare is now, not when the clouds gather or when the trumpet sounds.

As we embrace the truth of His coming, let us strive to live lives that reflect our anticipation and readiness. May we always be found faithful, awaiting our Savior with joy and hope.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times we have taken Your return lightly. Help us to be vigilant and ready, living each day with purpose and faith. May we not only heed the warnings of this world but also embrace the truth of Your Word. Fill our hearts with urgency and passion for Your coming, that we may live in a way that honors You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

If you do not know Jesus personally, I encourage you not to pass up the precious gift of His love and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, please consider the eternal consequences. Time is running out!

Salvation Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. I turn from my sins and invite You, Jesus, into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for Your mercy and love. Help me to follow You all the days of my life. Amen.
