March 27th 2026 – Your Soul

Scripture Reference:

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

Reflection:

In a world that often prioritizes the material—our bodies, our possessions, our comforts—it’s easy to forget the profound truth that our souls are eternal. While meat, drink, clothing, and wealth hold significance in our daily lives, they are fleeting. The earth and all its treasures will one day be consumed, but our souls will endure forever.

The Eternal Perspective
Imagine a day when time itself is no more. The voices of angels will proclaim the end of earthly concerns, but your soul will stand before God, unblemished and eternal. This truth should inspire us to reassess our priorities. Your soul is not merely a part of you; it is the essence of who you are, deserving of your utmost attention and care.

Guarding the Soul
Consider what influences you allow into your life. No job or relationship should lead you away from nurturing your soul. Friends and companions who belittle your spiritual concerns are not true allies; they risk your eternal well-being. The real adversary is not one who harms your body or reputation but one who seeks to diminish your spirit.

Purpose Beyond the Physical
You were created with purpose—an eternal purpose. Life is not merely about survival or indulgence. You are here to train your soul for eternity. Treat your body as the temporary dwelling it is, not as the master of your spirit. It’s a divine calling to elevate the soul above the physical, to allow it to guide your actions and decisions.

Reflect on the reality that one day, the only question that will matter is, “Is my soul saved?” This is a time-sensitive inquiry, urging us to act wisely. Attend to your soul with the urgency it deserves. Engage in practices that nourish your spirit: prayer, meditation, and fellowship with those who uplift your faith.

Let this truth resonate in your heart: while the world may distract you with its temporary pleasures, your soul is the singular treasure worth pursuing. Invest in it, protect it, and let it lead you to a life of purpose and fulfillment.

As you go about your day, remember: Your soul is worth it. Nurture it, for it is the part of you that will live on, forever in the presence of God.

“Amidst the fleeting desires of this world, let us cherish our souls as the eternal treasures they are, for in nurturing our spirit, we find our true purpose and the path to everlasting peace.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, recognizing the eternal value of my soul. Thank You for the gift of life and for the precious spirit within me that yearns for connection with You. Help me to prioritize my spiritual growth over the distractions of this world. Teach me to guard my soul against influences that lead me away from Your truth and purpose.

Lord, grant me the wisdom to discern relationships and environments that nurture my spirit rather than diminish it. Surround me with those who uplift and encourage my faith, helping me to grow in Your grace. As I navigate the challenges of life, may I always remember that my true worth lies not in material possessions, but in my relationship with You.

Help me cultivate a deeper understanding of my purpose, to live each day with the awareness that my soul is my most precious possession. May I seek You earnestly, drawing closer to You through prayer, scripture, and fellowship. Let my life reflect Your love and light, so that others may come to know the importance of their own souls.

Father, I entrust my soul to You, knowing that it is safe in Your hands. Help me to live wisely, keeping my eyes fixed on eternity. May my heart always ask, “Is my soul saved?” and may I find assurance in Your promises. Thank You for Your unending grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 16th 2026 – Eternity Awaits: The Importance of Prioritizing God

Scripture Reference:

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

Reflection:

In our modern society, we often find ourselves racing against the clock, juggling numerous responsibilities. Work commitments, family obligations, and social engagements can easily consume our time and energy. Yet, amidst this whirlwind, we must confront a sobering truth: “It is foolish to neglect our relationship with God while yearning to spend eternity with Him.”

God desires an intimate relationship with each of us, one that flourishes through intentional time spent in prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. When we allow our busy lives to push Him aside, we risk missing the profound joy and peace that comes from walking closely with our Creator.

Consider the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:13-21). This man, consumed by his earthly pursuits, built bigger barns to store his wealth, believing he had plenty of time ahead. Yet, he was called a fool because he did not recognize the fleeting nature of life. His neglect of God left him unprepared for eternity.

The Importance of Time with God:

  1. Clarity and Guidance: In seeking God first, we gain clarity on our priorities. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” When we prioritize God, we invite His guidance into our daily decisions, helping us navigate life’s complexities with wisdom.
  2. Strength and Peace: Life can be overwhelming, but spending time with God rejuvenates our spirits. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us to present our requests to God through prayer, allowing His peace to guard our hearts and minds.
  3. Eternal Perspective: When we align our lives with God’s will, we begin to view our time on earth through the lens of eternity. Colossians 3:2 encourages us to “set our minds on things that are above,” reminding us that our ultimate goal is to be in His presence forever.

Action Step:

This week, commit to setting aside at least 15 minutes each day for intentional time with God. Whether through prayer, reading Scripture, or simply being still in His presence, let this be a time of connection and renewal. Consider journaling your thoughts and prayers to deepen your understanding and reflection. As you prioritize this time, you may find that your heart is more aligned with His purposes, filling your life with peace and joy.

Let us not be foolish in neglecting the most important relationship we will ever have—our relationship with God. Instead, let us embrace the wisdom of prioritizing Him, both now and for eternity.

“To prioritize everything but God is to chase shadows; but to seek Him first is to embrace the light of eternity.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your endless love and mercy. In the midst of my busy life, I recognize how easily I can become distracted and neglect my relationship with You. Forgive me for the moments I have prioritized worldly concerns over our time together.

Help me to remember that my true fulfillment and peace come from seeking You first. Teach me to carve out time in my day to connect with You through prayer, worship, and the reading of Your Word. May I find joy in these moments, allowing them to strengthen my faith and deepen my understanding of Your will for my life.

Lord, I long for the day when I will be in Your presence for eternity. Help me to cultivate that relationship now, so that it may flourish into something beautiful and everlasting. May Your Spirit guide me as I seek to align my heart with Yours, bringing clarity, strength, and purpose to my life. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

March 1st 2025 – Handwriting On The Wall

“And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of each word: Mene means God has numbered your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel means you have been weighed on the scales and found lacking; Peres means your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.” (Daniel 5:25-28)

King Belshazzar was terrified. During a party where he openly mocked the God of Israel and celebrated the false gods of Babylon, mysterious fingers appeared and wrote this message. While it’s easy for us to judge the king for worshiping idols, we must remember that coveting can lead to idolatry.

“You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things, the wrath of God comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them.” (Ephesians 5:5-7)

Is there anything you prioritize over the Lord? Is God first in your time, talents, resources, and circumstances? If not, what takes precedence? Even if it seems good or noble, if it comes before God, it becomes an idol. Perhaps God is revealing something to you today that you have allowed to take His place.

Are you engaging with His Word before He issues corrective and loving judgment regarding that idol? God loves us deeply and often allows us to reflect on our lives in light of His truth before He steps in with correction.

“If we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.” (1 Corinthians 11:31-32)

“Beware of the corrosion, corruption, and compromise that comes from covetousness.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your righteous judgments and truths to me through Your Word. Please forgive me for prioritizing my time, talents, and resources toward other things instead of putting You first. Grant me the grace and strength to be Your disciple, allowing Your Spirit to guide me as I strive to walk in Your truths continually. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
