February 7th 2026 – God is Not a God of Limited Chances

Scripture Reference:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Reflection:

Life can sometimes feel like a series of missteps, where guilt and shame weigh heavily on our hearts. You may feel that you’ve burned too many bridges or disappointed too many people. It’s easy to believe that God has reached the limit of His grace for you—that you’ve exhausted your chances.

But take heart. The truth is that God’s love is not transactional; it’s not based on our performance or the number of times we’ve failed. His grace is abundant and unending. No matter how far you’ve strayed, His arms are always open, ready to welcome you back.

Think of Peter, who denied Jesus three times. He felt the weight of his betrayal, yet Jesus restored him, not once but three times, reaffirming his purpose. Just as Peter found redemption, so can you. Your past does not define your future.

Spend a few moments in silence, reflecting on the areas in your life where you feel unworthy or too far gone. Write down one thing you can do this week to move toward healing—whether it’s reaching out to someone you’ve hurt, seeking forgiveness, or simply allowing yourself to believe in God’s limitless grace.

God is not done with you. He sees your pain, and He is ready to restore you. Every day is a new opportunity to start again. Embrace it.

“Even when we feel lost in our mistakes, God’s grace is a beacon of hope, reminding us that we are never too far gone to be restored.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heavy heart, burdened by my mistakes and regrets. I feel the weight of guilt and shame pressing down on me, making it hard to see Your light. Help me to remember that Your love is limitless, and that no sin is too great to be forgiven.

Lord, I ask for the strength to confront my past and the courage to seek reconciliation. Heal the wounds I’ve caused, not just in my life but in the lives of others. Guide me as I strive to make amends, and grant me the wisdom to know how to proceed. Help me understand that I am never too far gone to receive Your grace.

As I navigate this journey of healing, remind me that Your arms are always open, ready to embrace me. Teach me to let go of the burdens I carry and to trust in Your unfailing love. May I learn to see myself through Your eyes, as someone worthy of love, redemption, and a fresh start. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

February 6th 2026 – Do Our Words Glorify God?

Scripture Reference:
“Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive. The venom of asps is under their lips; their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” (Romans 3:13-14)

Reflection:

A forest fire can ignite from the smallest spark. Just one tiny ember landing on dry brush can lead to devastation, displacing lives and ravaging landscapes. James reminds us, “So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!” (James 3:5)

Growing up in Northern California, I was surrounded by the towering California Redwoods. These trees are as majestic as they are massive, yet what stands out most in my memory are the forest fires. If you’ve ever witnessed such a blaze, you know how individual embers can soar high and travel far, spreading destruction beyond what we can imagine.

Our words function in much the same way. Gossip, negativity, and harsh words can spread rapidly, inflicting pain on anyone who hears them—whether it’s a child’s heart or an adult’s spirit. Yet, words of grace can uplift, encourage, and bring glory to God.

Think about it: our words can derail dreams, ruin reputations, or hinder the work of God. Once spoken, they can’t be taken back. James continues, “With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.” (James 3:9-10)

We must ask ourselves: Do our words build up or tear down? Each of us has fallen short at times, speaking thoughtlessly or harshly. However, we are called to strive for words that glorify God and positively impact those around us.

Let us remember that our speech has the potential to shape lives. The next time we speak, let’s choose words that reflect kindness, love, and truth. Let’s be instruments of peace rather than vehicles of destruction.

“Let your words be seeds of grace, cultivating hope and healing in the hearts of those around you.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of speech and the power it holds. Help us to be mindful of our words, using them to uplift and encourage rather than to harm. Teach us to speak life into every situation and to reflect Your love in our conversations.

May our words glorify You and lead others closer to Your heart. When we find ourselves tempted to speak negatively, remind us of the impact our words can have. Fill us with Your grace so that we may be a source of blessing in our families, communities, and beyond. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
