“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” (Hebrews 11:1-3)

Faith is often described as a flickering flame within our hearts, but what happens when that flame grows into a roaring fire? When we allow our faith to be ignited, it transforms our lives and the lives of those around us. A faith on fire is not just a passive belief; it is an active, vibrant conviction that propels us to trust in God’s promises, even when circumstances seem bleak.

Consider the stories of biblical heroes like Abraham and Moses. Their faith was not based on what they could see, but on the assurance that God was faithful to His word. Abraham left his homeland, not knowing where he was going, simply because God had promised him a future. Moses faced the Red Sea with confidence, knowing that God would provide a way. Their faith was a fire that fueled their actions and led them to accomplish great things for God’s kingdom.

Take a moment to reflect on your own faith. Is it a flicker or a roaring fire? What steps can you take to stoke the flames of your faith? Consider journaling your thoughts or sharing them with a trusted friend. Let this devotion remind you that a faith on fire is a gift from God, meant to be shared and celebrated.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, ignite the flames of faith within us. Help us to trust in You wholeheartedly, even when we cannot see the path ahead. May our faith be a light in the darkness, inspiring others to seek You. We ask for a deeper understanding of Your promises and the courage to act upon them. Let our faith burn brightly, drawing us closer to You and illuminating the world around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
