January 17th 2025 – My Friend Jesus

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15)

In a world where friendships can often feel superficial or conditional, it’s a profound comfort to know that Jesus calls us His friends. This relationship is not based on what we can offer Him, but on His unconditional love and grace toward us. When we think of Jesus as our friend, we realize that we have someone who truly understands us, supports us, and desires to walk with us through every season of life.

Imagine the kind of friendship that Jesus offers. It is one filled with trust, understanding, and unwavering support. He knows our struggles and our joys, and He invites us to share our hearts with Him. In times of trouble, we can turn to Him, knowing that He is always there, ready to listen and provide comfort.

“How can you cultivate you friendship with Jesus today? What steps can you take to share His love with others?”

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for being my friend. Thank You for inviting me into a relationship that’s built on love and trust. Help me to deepen this friendship by spending time in Your Word and in prayer. May I always remember that I can come to You with anything on my heart. Teach me to reflect Your friendship to others and to be a source of love and support in their lives as You are in mine. Amen.
