December 31st 2024 – Trusting in God’s Plan

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in our plans and desires. We often feel the weight of expectations—both our own and those of others. However, God reminds us through Jeremiah that His plans for us are filled with hope and purpose.

When we face uncertainty or challenges, we may question the path laid out before us. It’s in these moments of doubt that we must lean into our faith. Trusting in God means surrendering our need to control every aspect of our lives and believing that He is guiding us, even when the way forward seems unclear.

Consider the times when you have felt lost or unsure. Reflect on how God has worked in those situations, often in ways you didn’t expect. Remember that God sees the bigger picture—one that we cannot always comprehend. He is with us in our struggles, offering comfort and direction.

Take a moment to sit in silence and ask God to reveal any areas in your life where you need to trust Him more. Write down any thoughts or feelings that arise during this time of reflection.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the plans you have for my life. Help me to trust in your guidance, especially during times of uncertainty. May I find peace in knowing that you are always working for my good. Teach me to surrender my worries and embrace the hope and future you promise. In Jesus’s name Amen.
