December 16th 2024 – Walking In Faith

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

In a world filled with uncertainty, living by faith can often feel daunting. We tend to rely on what we can see, touch, and understand. However, Paul reminds us that our walk as Christians is fundamentally one of faith. It invites us to trust in God’s promises, even when the path ahead seems unclear.

Walking in faith means stepping out of our comfort zones and trusting God’s plan for our lives. It’s about believing that He is working for our good, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. Just as Abraham stepped out into the unknown, trusting God’s call, we too are called to take steps of faith, relying not on our understanding but on His guidance.

In moments of doubt or fear, let us remember the countless times God has been faithful in our lives. Reflect on previous trials where God has shown up, providing strength, comfort, and direction. Allow these memories to bolster your faith as you navigate current challenges.

Spend a few moments in silence, asking God to reveal areas in your life where He is calling you to step out in faith. Write down any thoughts or insights that come to mind.

“May this devotion strengthen your faith and encourage you to walk boldly with God!”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us to embrace a lifestyle of faith. Teach us to trust You more deeply, especially when we can’t see the way forward. Remind us of Your past faithfulness and instill in us the courage to step out in faith, knowing You are always with us. May our lives reflect Your love and grace to those around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
