August 20th 2023 – Don’t Wait, Come to Jesus Now

I am honored to have the opportunity to share with you a life-changing message about the profound significance of the end times and the urgency to come to Jesus Christ. Today’s devotion aims to encourage and inspire you to embrace the hope that lies within this crucial period, and to respond to God’s invitation before it’s too late.

Nobody can deny the fact that we are in the end of times, the events of the holy bible are unfolding right before our very eyes. The end times can often evoke mixed emotions; fear, confusion, or even skepticism. However, as we delve into Gods Scripture, we discover that the end times hold extraordinary promise and hope for all who seek a deeper relationship with Jesus.

The Promise of Christ’s Return:

Throughout the Bible, we find numerous references to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself assures us in John 14:3, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” This promise reminds us that no matter the challenges we face in this world, Jesus is preparing an eternal home for us, where we will experience indescribable joy and peace in His presence.

Embracing the Urgency:

The end times also emphasize the urgency of coming to Jesus now. No one knows the hour or the day when Christ will return (Matthew 24:36), but we are instructed to be ready at all times. Each passing moment is an opportunity to turn our hearts towards Him, to seek forgiveness, and to surrender our lives to His loving care. Remember, God’s desire is not to condemn but to save (John 3:17). He is patiently waiting for us to respond to His call.

The Gift of Salvation:

The end times remind us of the ultimate gift we receive through Jesus Christ: salvation. In 2 Peter 3:9, we read, “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise… but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross, paying the price for our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him. Accepting this gift of salvation is the key to experiencing God’s forgiveness, love, and the hope of eternal life.

Living with Purpose:

As followers of Christ, the end times invite us to live with purpose and intentionality. Rather than succumbing to fear, we can share the hope we have found in Jesus with others. We are called to love and serve our neighbors, to be a beacon of light in a world that often feels dark and uncertain. Our lives can reflect the love, grace, and compassion of Jesus, drawing others to Him.

In conclusion, the end times hold a profound invitation to come to Jesus, to experience His love, and to find hope that surpasses all understanding. Let us not delay, but respond to His call today. Embrace the promise of Christ’s return, the urgency to seek Him now, and the incredible gift of salvation. May your life be forever transformed as you choose to walk alongside Jesus, the one who holds the keys to eternity.

“God desires to free you from your sin and give you an abundant life.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I know that I have been held captive by my sins. Father, forgive me of all these things and release me from my chains. I believe that Jesus is the key to freedom, and I trust in His payment for my sins on the cross. Fill me with Your Spirit and use me to share the key to freedom with others. Please set me free from the Slavery of Sin. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Invitation:

Put your faith and trust in Jesus! If you do not know him personally please read below.

Jesus Christ says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20)

The Bible promises eternal life to all who receive Christ: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13)

If you have not asked Jesus into your life you can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith through prayer.

Prayer is just talking with God. He knows your heart, so don’t worry about getting your words just right. Here is a suggested prayer to guide you:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If you have read this prayer and believed in your heart, then congratulations!

(Luke 15:7) says that when one sinner accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Savior the angels rejoice. So there’s a party going on in heaven right now over your decision! Remember this date as your “second birthday,” the day you were born into a new life in Christ! You have God’s Word that he answered your prayer.
